    Hi, my sweet supporters! Just to clear the airwaves, Iconic Arcade 1.0 is no means the best machine out there, it is indeed low end but it is HIGHLY customizable for DIY projects. The price tag is what makes it interesting. It is designed to run MAME games so finding games can be difficult unless you know how to do it. For a future project, Iconic Arcade's team designers and developers have the potential to work and make these machines look better and better, I feel.
    That being said -- You don't have to purchase one, and I wish it came with licensed games for the next patch, but you can put a Raspberry Pi 5 in it instead of 4 and change the monitors to what you would like, but I can't wait to see someone change and mod the skins of this arcade machine and showcase it to make it look that much better on their RUclips channel!
    For $249 Canadian, its not that bad for some people who are interested in tinkering this machine around to consider. It's a product not meant for everyone, but I hope they will continue to use this approach at a reasonable price to build better and better machines in the near future. A HUGE SOLUTION to this one, like I mentioned before, is if they had retro licensed games on it that are GOOD already in it. Thanks for joining!

    Thanks for sharing about the games nicely explained by you. I’m my teens I played a-lot of video games! The driving games are fun even though I’d probably crash a lot lol. 👍😊🇨🇦

      I don't know if it's nicely explained on my end here -- had to do a couple takes, then realized its better to do it away from the scene because I didn't want to bother the very nice Gamestop employees who happened to be working there 😅 with their phone calls and talking amongst one another. They were totally okay with me filming though, I didn't want to interrupt them or bother with their time.
      That's so cool that you actually played a lot of video games when you were younger as well! 😲 Nowadays, I'm often outdoors, just enjoying my walks down by Niagara Falls. The video gaming kid in the 90s is long gone in a way, because I feel if I don't go out and do something productive and stay home playing video games all day long, I'm not getting much done. That being said though, I don't mind going out to the arcade and spending a little bit of time showing off phone app games or the Nintendo Switch here and there from time to time.
      The Nintendo Switch is very popular amongst the little kids. 🥰🧸💕 Anyways, this video reignited my passion to touch back on things I loved as a little child back in the good old golden days. Now that I have a RUclips channel going (I always wanted to do this anyways just for the heck of it), it's becoming a real possibility that this might go somewhere rather than just a hobbyist doing the silly adventurous takes. lol
      Thanks for dropping by! I still want to promote the local businesses here in Niagara Falls, especially the smaller ones, but I also like the idea of travel in-between and I'm also trying to tie my arcade adventures a bit with the game stores in particular, although it will be mostly just focus on the games and the interests we share in the gaming world. Bye bye for now, Christine, thanks for swinging by! 🧸💕

    F-Zero? I can't believe you just played that game, that's a great classic! ☺️ Love your earmuffs! It's super cute!

      @sweetlylorelei  17 дней назад +1

      Haha, why do so many of you girls compliment on the heart-shaped earmuffs? 😅☺️ I actually found it in the Valentine's section down by the Dollarama store I go to for $3! $3 flippin' dollars! lol ❤️🩷💛 It's surprisingly very warm, and better than wearing my hoodie too (unless it snowstoo much)! You'd be amazed how much dollar stores can give you with its pretty cheap value!
      I don't play F-zero though as much as I do Mario Kart. It's cold down here in Niagara Falls right now, I'm getting back to playing some Pokémon stuff as we speak!

    2:23 "You two-bit, tortellini taster! You foiled my plans!" LMAO Got me cracking up laughing, another fantastic review and a great video showcasing more of your skills! Congrats on reaching over 700 subs! 🎉🎉🎉

      🤣🤣🤣 That Super Mario Super Show had some funny (yet clumsily drawn pics) that I never imagined possible off that one show alone. Thank you for the 700 subs grats -- growing pains once again, but this time away from the wildly-rapid TikTok account of mine that went viral in such a short amount of time. lol

      Thanks, EnigmaBlue! I just recorded a personal video of me planning on what to do next in Niagara Falls, that I can't wait to go to some of my favorite attractions that I haven't thought about recording in the past. I only took selfies and lots of photos there. It's gonna be really interesting -- a mood in the atmosphere much like my introverted-self in the past. Can't wait to go back to that place, you might see it someday. 💕💕 Cheers! Thanks for swinging by!

    I did a bit of research. So John D. who once worked for Arcade1up was let go from the team. He then joined Iconic Arcade, his goal to make retro arcade machines return in a competitive sense. Online networking is now possible, you can switch your controller sticks out for a Nintendo type controller. Really interesting tidbits!

      @sweetlylorelei  16 дней назад +1

      John Diamonon, love him or hate him for his ego, is a gamer at heart, even I have to admit. But what I heard about him is that he was great at what he did -- licensing. Iconic Arcade Revolutions 1.1 is out in the UK, which still needs some work, but what strikes me as interesting is the potential to see this product still grow, and with the price tag in the market, it looks promising.
      Whether it would be strong suggestions from the community from people saying there should be a patch for Iconic Arcade 1.0 to combat the lack of ease finding games within the market (like I strongly suggested, an official distributor like Steam where you can legally download damn good games that you can pay for a reasonable price!) to arcade controller sticks you can put through USB., variations of skins you can select from Iconic Arcade to suit up your style.
      If the next affordable, customizable arcade cabinet Iconic Arcade can dish out comes to the Gamestop here in Canada AND THE U.S., it'll definitely rival Arcade1Up and maybe finally bring the nostalgic feel to those who played games like I did in the 90s and newcomers alike. 🧸💕

      It's interesting why the company that designed Iconic Arcade didn't want to promote their services down by the US as well. 🤔 It's cheaper than Arcade1up's version on the market for one game. lol At the time of my posting, Iconic Arcade was immediately sold out here on the official Gamestop website down in Canada after the significant price drop began happening as of late.
      There is a little issue I find with Iconic Arcade's controller though -- I wish it was a lot sturdier but considering you can hook it up with a different controller, it's not that bad.
      For $250 CANADIAN dollars, that pretty cheap for Americans to buy who know how to do their tech stuff. The framework is pretty decent for beginners but not for those who demand more. Just suit it up a bit more with mods and you are good to go.

      Yes, it is certainly bigger than the store inside the bigger mall here in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada -- which is ironic, normally because the mall is supposed to have the bigger store here. lol
      I look forward to your next trip, Eva and Victor. I also learned about Smyths Toys from the UK. Never ever heard about it before, but it's a giant toy store like Toys R' Us here in Canada. I learned something new while researching Iconic Arcade and Gamestop back in the day. I missed going to shops to thrift for stuff many, many years ago. Now I can go film because RUclips never crossed my mind before, so I might as well capitalize on the opportunity lol and the employees are really good with giving me permission to film there.
      On top of that, I don't like talking smack about anything in public unless it's really REALLY bad. A more honest review to help prevent people from wasting money on awful goods and services is so much better than coating it and saying it's alright, but the Gamestop employees in this store are great people and I'm so happy they show much love for the games (and anime, a little bit) like others do too! Thank goodness there are still good people in this world, just like you, Eva and Victor! 🧸💕 Looking forward to your next trip, or next food review! Now that was a nice tease! I love it!

    I bought the console only for $50. What a bargain. Added a 256gb card and added a bunch of games on it all for the price of one new release game nowadays.

    • @sweetlylorelei
      @sweetlylorelei  9 дней назад

      @@metubeyoda Wow, what a GREAT bargain! I hear Iconic Arcade Is licensing more games other than your typical Street Fighter, the Raspberry Pi 5 can be swapped instead of the 4 but the beauty of that is no need for a real cooldown. I had to point the price drop -- the decision made from John to make these cabinets ridiculously affordable is what Arcade1Up needs to learn from. It's a fantastic piece to have at home and this is in Canadian dollars, which makes it dirt cheap for our lovely American friends down south across the border. Let's hope that some games out in the market get official licensing so that it becomes an option to download as well if anyone ever worries about the legal issues. It is a big win for the developers who want to make games extremely affordable and the consumers who want to support these developers to play like the Nintendo Switch has done on their online market. 😎✌️
      Cool thing is the joystick controllers can be way more improved by swapping it out and the port is USB! Lots of customizing in case the original controller is not to your liking!

    What if game stop just becomes an arcade place with like the older games

    • @sweetlylorelei
      @sweetlylorelei  16 дней назад

      I would love to see that too! But from the business aspect, much of the money is made from trading cards, they tell me. Tons and tons of trading cards! 😅 There are some staff I found from Gamestop who really loves and is devoted into trading cards and if they threw a cabinet in there with old games going for a reasonable price for hardcore collectors just like before with Pokemon-Graded cards added to the mix, that'd be sweet!
      I wish retro arcade gaming was back in a way just like people who have a nostalgia collecting antiques, collectibles, etc. I don't run for Gamestop though, they'd probably think it would be a bad profitable idea (unless it has to do with actual Pokemon TCG stuff lol).

    hey, you're in orangeville?

    • @sweetlylorelei
      @sweetlylorelei  15 дней назад

      @@sebastianricci4279 Oh no, I'm sorry but this one here was filmed in Niagara Falls, Ontario (Canada) and if it really was in Orangeville and the staff there allowed to film with Gamestop staff, that'd sound like a great idea. The people who worked in the Niagara Falls location was far more than accommodating and I would never ask the staff if they want to be filmed as well unless Gamestop HQ doesn't mind.
      It's my second official filming down by this location and I was pleasantly surprised how many views this video already has which I knew would pick up steam and be the right call. I have far more knowledge in older games as well as up to the PS2 before I stopped playing for a very long time, and I'm talking Tales Series, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of the Abyss, JRPGs for the most part and just focused on arcades and social media work ever since.
      My love for Pokemon stems a long ways, but was a clear 25 year gap in between, Pokemon Go being what brought me back into the love of the game as well as its products. I was always a hyper-niche type of channel but now I finally decided to do what everyone else is doing recently these past few weeks just by covering games. If I ever go to Orangeville and you know someone who likes to be shown on RUclips or is a content creator who likes to collaborate there themselves, I clearly wouldn't mind. I have a friend who owns a card shop in St. Catharines and I can't wait to film there really soon! Cheers!
