    looks great! I really enjoy the fact that you leave all the actual working in the video!! makes me feel a little better seeing people making the same mistakes or problems I have whenever I try to do something. I really appreciate it. I've thought about making a sword with my kid, so this gives me some good ideas. thanks!!

      Thanks! A carpenter once told me that every carpenter is going to make mistakes, but a professional doesn't give up and figures out a way fix them. I like that thought. I have plenty more mistakes to make so I'll be sure to share them.

    Very nice job on the sword. I see while sanding the part it got away from you on the sander. That is the kind of stuff that I do. I like the band saw build out. Pretty neat way to save space in the shop. Anyways keep up the great videos.

    You have a perfectly good table saw behind you why use the band saw to rip the board?

      @@badzs. turn the wood on its side and push it through the blade. That’s what a table saw is made for. Ripping wood in a straight line.

    As someone who has done a lot of wood projects, I am disappointed that you forget to not only put the guard on the belt sander but you also neglected wearing protective gloves. My dad would've made a wooden paddle and used it on you as punishment.

    Was enjoying until it got to the sander mishap. I had to rewatch it after you put the guard on, your hand gets caught in a machine and your 1st reaction is to put a glove on??? Rule #1 in wood, NEVER wear gloves with a spinny machine. Look up degloved hands once and a little scrape or cut without gloves is worth it

    • @SomeSkillStudio
      @SomeSkillStudio  2 года назад

      my hand didnt get caught in the machine, the piece just wasnt big enough to hold.

      Thats an excuse lol you dont use a glove for something thats too small you need feeling and your hand was under the belt. But you do you im just letting you know a tip that could save your hand skin
