Ruger Mark IV Teardown, Cleaning and Reassembly for Beginners

Today we will be performing the disassembly, cleaning, lubrication and reassembly of this Ruger Mark IV. This begins with the safe clearing of the chamber and a compliment of my usual cleaning supplies.

Good primer for new shooters/Mk IV owners. Some folks might balk at using a wire brush in an in/out fashion or a bore snake (as it could damage the crown). I use a jag and a ton of patches for most cleaning with jacketed ammo and a nylon brush for dirtier lead stuff. Bore snake is great for a couple pull-thrus when I'm done at the range then the full cleaning at home.
Plastic picks are great for getting build up, especially inside the barrel, where a nylon brush can't reach.
Also appreciate the clean work area, tools/supplies and the overall process.
