Definitely should have slowed down around the houses at 1:17, looks like there are blind driveways there so the risk for potential hazards is very high. I know the camera can distort distances, but in my opinion it looked like you carried too much speed through a lot of corners with poor visibility. If there was a pedestrian or tractor on the other side of the road at the worst possible moment, I don't think you would have had enough time to react.
There’s three left handers where the road is rising on entry where vision falls to around 2 seconds where it’s a bit ropey for joggers, who like to be out early too.
This man consistently displays poor and sometimes bad driving habits and then puts them out on RUclips as “good driving techniques”. He’s often dangerous.
Don't forget that he is commuting, which means that he probably knows these roads like the back of his hand. Also, you can tell that he filmed early in the morning with no one around.
Agreed, not cautious enough on a couple of left handers where the road was rising. Vision down to a couple of seconds in at least two points and speed not adjusted accordingly.
I have just unsubscribed. I cannot take seriously a driver who recommends straight lining roundabouts for fun, keeps to the centre line on blind bends with heavy foliage and has a tenuous grip on the steering wheel with finger tips, one hand or no hands while gesticulating.
Hey, Mick, I'm really enjoying your videos, actually just ordered new megane rs trophy same clour. Still selling in my country 😂. Would be nice to see some more of the car from outside of the cabin.

I want your car’s transmission. Since giving up the manual mine have all been : “oh you’re approaching an intersection and there’s a gap. I’ll just go ahead and put you in top gear with Eco mode. You’re welcome!” Or “some slow traffic ahead so how about I jump between third and fourth like a kangaroo with ADHD?”
I literally scanned throughout the entire footage 2x in slow motion (x0.25) to find the exact point where the speed is Sean on the screen where we have a slight Sean on the screen where we have a glitch shows the speed. 1:24 it is
If that were a clip on the Nürburgringring it would be fine, but on public roads disabling your speedo and accelerating hard through so many slow road markings and past people's houses and drive ways is not a great way to show how good a driver you are. it just shows how great a sociopath you are, nobbish at the very best.
Hey there Mick. From which beautiful country are you from? I want to request you to make a video on engine performance Vs altitude. I don't think I'm the only one that doesn't understand this. I have read somewhere that the car loses power with altitude. I'm from Namibia I own a golf 5 r32 that kicks out 250 hp. So does it mean my car will perform best in Germany for example where altitude is low? Because here in Namibia for example our city Windhoek sits at an insane altitude of just over 1500 m while Berlin altitude is impressive at 34 m. Does this also mean I will get different dyno results from the two places? And yes they also say NA engines lose more compared to turbo engines. So based on that I'm not sure my car will give me 250 hp on dyno then here. It should be way less.
This only applies to internal combustion engines. Roughly speaking, the closer you are to sea level the more power your car can make but that's limited by the tune it has. This is because there is an ideal air to fuel ratio that you need to get in order for the engine to operate efficiently. As for why altitude matters, as you get higher away from Earth's surface, air density is lower i.e. there's less air to breathe in. For a car, I don't know how high before power begins to go down. For a turbocharged car, a turbocharger compresses air before it gets sent to the engine's combustion chamber so physically there's more air than in a NA engine going in. Which is also why turbos make more power than NA. I dunno where your 250 hp estimate came from but it's reasonable to assume that if it's imported from Germany then it will feel more powerful if you drive there because of this. Pikes peak racecars have to consider this, but since EVs don't use air, they don't have this issue.
Your "nope cover" jumps around, revealing some potentially incriminating data. You can go ahead and manually select those few frames. Shouldn't be much work as it only happens for a few frames at a time.
i thought you are "slow" guy with fast car "crying" on youtube about people driving faster then speedlimit+10. Now i see that you are actually petrolhead but using your brain lmao. Respect

I'm surprised to see that THAT's your foggiest day of the year! Ok, visibility isn't ideal, but it looks good on camera, I have the impression that you could probably always stop in your line of visibility? Granted, I didn't analyse every second of video closely, just overall impression.
Hello, love your channel. Very peaceful and calming videos that give great and relaxed insight on driving. Would you ever by chance do a video on close quarters driving, or even distance judgement during close quarters driving?

Good example of a considerate way to have fun on the road, early in the morning when there's basically no one around.
Ethical petrolhead vibes
For sure. I usually travel for about 30/40 minutes on a Sunday evening and there’s very few cars around it’s nice to have a good drive
I used to drive from Nottingham to Heathrow in the middle of the night or very early morning over mixed highways. There is ALWAYS someone around.
Yeah but IO get up at 5am for work, so I do not want to get up early again on weekends to be able to drive lol
youre still getting pulled over if a cop clocks you doing 40 over the limit lmao
Now, that’s what I call SPIRITED DRIVING!
I think the best suggestion you've given me is to go early in the morning. Gives me an incentive to get my sleep schedule in order.
