Everything with those shadow clones at the end was straight up terrifying, and I can't help but wonder if there's going to be a similar tone change like, say, what happened in Madoka Magica, where everything seemed cute at first, but in reality was hiding something twisted underneath it all.

@@kiriouka9657 As the studio that produced the show is the in house studio owned by the game developer, Cygames the chances are actually really high, especially if you take into consideration that Rage of Bahamut and Granblue Fantasy both got two seasons.
First of all there's no way they can cover everything in Arc 1 assuming it's 12 episodes. And second, the game is currently on its 2nd Arc so there's always a chance for a sequel in the future.
Now that the game Is in english you can hear that the sound design for the anime Is too good at recreate the game. If you close the eyes most of the scene could pass just for game footage. The use of the ost of the original game totally nailed
