Fantastic flying and review, Wayne! 😃 I don't know, but the way this project is moving... It's going to be ready for prime time pretty soon! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Cheers MC - it's looking a lot better. You'll be more impressed when you see the MPSOSD working. I've got the 3 quads setup with it working now, I just need a day to fly
Will definitely join you again, cheers for going to all the effort, that calibration off picture is interesting, I suppose that's what caddx walksnail etc ,do in firmware updates, maybe ❤take care
Yes - I would guess so. It's very interesting that Caddx are going to be working with OpenIPC in some capacity. We're not sure exactly what form that will take, but interesting all the same
Hey big bro ❤ from India 🇮🇳 😎 I have also bought the runcam wifilink. It's working pretty great here ☺️ I followed ur video and github Will u please 🙏 make a video on setting up the msp osd on betaflight with openipc configurator..😢😢 Plz plz plz 🙏
Yes - I was doing this in order to record footage to a tablet using one receiver and another one plugged into my NVR which went straight to my goggles. It all runs the same code - so you should be able to combine any number of different elements
Interesting. I'm a purely analogue person and see absolutely no reason to change from a performance/cost/size/weight point of view. However, one has to be realistic and say that analog is probably going to be pushed out of the marketplace in the end, unfortunately. So, interested in this. But, the thing that instantly worried me, watching your arm movements on the bench, was latency. Looks huge, in the 100s of milliseconds even on the PC, I'd say? Have you done an end to end test with LEDs and photodiodes?
I haven't done a test - I rely more on how things feel. I think the actual latency (to my NVR) is under 60ms. To my tablet, it much higher as it's a crappy tablet which can take up to 80ms just to decode a frame! The proof in the pudding for me is flying it, and it felt good to me. As I mentioned it maybe felt a little loose, but I was quite confident to fly it like a regular quad. That said, I think they'll always be a place for analog. Until Open Source HD FPV because as cheap and easy as analog, analog will persist
I think Emax has no clue what they're talking about in regards to the wifi chips in the different VRX. It's output power they're using wifi modules available on aliexpress and the 2 watt one is exactly that a 2W wifi card.
This all looks promising. Thanks for all the time you are putting into these tests
Right?
I hope it's good to go in less than a year!
It's getting better - more to come soon!
@@CurryKittenThat they've got to single board already is awesome! 😊 Top geekery Wayne, cutting edge.😊

you are amazing, thanks!
Happy to help!

I've been upgrading the 3 OpenIPC quads to use MSPOSD this week, so a video will be coming explaining the steps to do that soon(ish)
Can you mix the receivers? So use the runcam receiver with the emax transmitter?

@ as long as the keys for the WiFi are correct 😊
