Do you think those pages he glances at have his lines on them? In these days, the actors performed the script in a radio studio--reading direct from the script--and then later in the afternoon performed it in the TV studio, both performances going out live. Having to learn lines for TV when they were used to reading direct from the script must have been a big adjustment for radio actors. And another note--they speak of Kathy being in Carmel, a reminder that in this period, The Guiding Light was set in the Los Angeles area (Selby Flats being an LA suburb).
A wringer washer. My Grandma had one until she moved into a nursing home in 1988 (at 92).
We had one too until 1988
Just heard of James Lipton passing. Here he is as Dr Dick Grant an original cast member of this long running soap. Rest in peace.
RIP James Lipton

Amazing - can't believe that is James Lipton as Dick Grant!
That's the Rev. Dr. Keeler, not Kittridge.
@dovasi According to my TV encyclopedia, he was spelling it "Lypton"...and is that Sandy Becker on the Duz spots?
The Guiding Light was originally about a minister and his family.
@bluenail03 On-air or off?
RIP James Lipton
