Report them to the police. The man who threatened Nick might have committed an assault. Then you can apply for their details. You are absolutely right, any failure to control their dog that leads to a loss in livestock is recoverable against them in damages. I’m so angry on your behalf. 😡
Those people need to be taken through the court. It will highlight the issues more to the general public. In Scotland they could be fined up to £40,000 or up to 12 months in prison, but I don’t think that would ever happen!
Show their faces - they deserve to be embarrassed by their stupidity, and their threatening behavior. I just found your channel, my first watch and already heartbroken for you having such a rough go of it. Ive watched the Sheep Game deal with dogs. To the point he ran over a dog to stop him running sheep ( and his heavily pregnant wife run after the dog and owner). The dog was fine at the end, but Im sure Cammy and Lizzie took awhile to get over the trauma, as Im sure with you as well. * finished the episode, I was just so angry I posted before finishing. I hope a lawyer addressing the horrible couple suggesting a costly ( for them) lawsuit. Btw, watched a couple more of your videos and am really enjoyed it. Thanks from a new subscriber. 😊
I can fully appreciate why farmers shoot dogs that worry livestock, and so they should. Keep going Jo, even Nick stopped smiliing there for a while so I can appreciate how p****d off you were, and rightly so. Your lambs look great and do you full credit, best wishes to you both from EA.
You must report the dog incident to the police. The only way to get these idiots to take responsibility for their actions. Someone near me was prosecuted, fined, had their dogs removed and banned from keeping dogs. Record record record.
True true, unfortunately there are such folks inthe world. Generations of people growing up entitled and raise by helicopter parents that take care of all their problems or fix them for them. So never feel they are in the wrong.
I am a dog owner and I am simply appalled at those F Idiots and their bloody dogs. No bad dogs just bad owners who at their age should know better. You should’ve filmed and Nick rung the police there and then!!!!! These people that think a simple “sorry” makes it all ok, it doesn’t and I’m so sorry for your losses 😢. On the upside you’re both doing an amazing job as always xx
Shocking the man said the one if the dogs was a puppy and didn’t know what sheep were , then he should have known to it on a lead and not let it chase sheep ❤
Omg those people with the dogs are so rude and ignorant,, I see loads of farm videos of people letting dogs loose and chasing sheep ,, You are right and it’s your livelihood Shocking ❤
The older I get, the less I trust the majority of dog owners. They don't know how much damage they do & they don't care. The big thing I saw those people do was confuse feeling "sorry" with taking responsiblity. When I was young, I lost my favorite cow, and later her daughter, to dog packs. The level of anger I felt was monumental. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
Joanna, your incident with the dogs and their ignorant and pig arrogant scumbag owners bought back some unpleasant memories for me. The incident occured at night back in 1977 when some dogs chased our entire dairy herd that we had at the time over and though a barb wire boundary fence. The aftermath was horrendous with ripped open udders, cut and torn teats and one aborted calf foetus. Nobody ever admitted responsibility, however we knew without doubt who's dogs were responsible. It was 1977 and despite our efforts they got away with it. The Police said without any real evidence (it was night) and with the dog owners who were camping for Easter at a neighbouring property denying that the 2 dogs went anywhere that night, it all came to nothing. I hate those people to this very day. Sorry about the rant.
Nick you're both doing everything you can as did we back then but it's virtually impossible to monitor 24/7 as none of us are robots and we all need some sleep.Thinking of you both. All the best.
That happened to me. we put a shorthorn with a calf in the field, and she sorted out the dog and owner problem. The dog was killed, and the owner ended up in hospital .I ended up with best friends with trading standards and APHA, but it was worth it 😂😂😂
Those dog owners, total denial, beyond belief, you won't see them again, they will walk elsewhere. I am a dog owner and things can go wrong but they were not even being careful.
I totally feel for you, with those dog owners. I hope they DO face consequences. The first year I had sheep lambing, my niece moved in (I live with my father, so have no veto power) and her dogs worry my sheep all the time. Her response is "Well dogs are man's best friend" and "They wouldn't hurt them" and it's been a constant battle. Particularly as my father has dementia and just literally cannot take the trauma of making decisions and stuff. So I literally have two choices. I can sell all my livestock, or tolerate my niece allowing her dogs to worry my sheep (It's only 40 minutes a day, what's the big deal?") Perhaps ironically, but now my niece is reaping what she sowed. One of my ewes, who was a lamb when my niece moved in, and who has, therefore, been chased and worried by those dogs since she was a lamb, she had her first lambs three weeks ago. I was taking my small flock for a walk around my house (I'm a total hobby farmer) and first my sister, and then my niece all allowed their dogs out of the house. Kits, my ewe, reacted when she saw the dogs. My sheep are American four-horned Jacobs' and she took one look and was instantly bent on pulverizing the dogs into mush. The dogs ran, but it's now clear that the ewes will do their best to kill the dogs if they come near. Now that the dogs' lives are threatened, my niece is suddely paying attention. This morning I suspected that my youngest and final sheep had lambed. Just 12 days ago, the day the previous first-timer lambed, this same ewe was being chased and worried .... not by the dogs, but instead she got a stick caught in her wool and she was flipping out. It took almost half an hour for me to isolate her and get the stick unstuck...... and while I was helping my penultimate ewe lamb out her first baby, I was keeping an eye on my ewe..... she was shaking, shivering, panting, and looked like she was ready to have a heart attack. I wasn't sure she was bred, but worried that if she was, she'd lose the baby. I don't know if any person can see a distressed ewe and believe that ther'e's no big deal if the dogs chase the sheep. The folks in your video were utter blithering idiots. Taking their dogs for a walk in the country, allowing the dogs off their lead, and then blaming YOU for not letting THEM know you have livestock. Only a fool believes the farmer needs to inform them about livestock. Just don't take your damn dog off the lead!
I am so sorry , every one has become so selfish . Where do you live ?? I am a city dweller but use to live in the country USA .if are Dogg's chased live stock or wildlife and did any damage we had to pay a fine and or for the beasts . I no longer have pets do to what I see and hear .thankyou for sharing your story.
You get some, right idiots. If you are a dog owner, how much more publicity is needed to get it through their thick heads, they must always be on a lead. Lambing is very stressful in a normal year, and with this terrible weather, it makes it 10x worse. Keep up the good work, and that goes for all farmers. What would we do without you all. Take care xx
did you see Cami from the Sheep Game the other day they had a spaniel in the sheep flock and the owner could not get control of it Lizzie who is 35 week pregrant is chasing it to try and get hold of it - Cami came in with the buggy and ran it over to stop it - by law he is allowed to do that (he is a retired cop) he filmed it for evidence - dog survived and needed a vet visit - needs to go as a article on the front page of the comunity newspaper - ask them if they will do a piece and give them a photo of the dogs that caused the problem just like you have filmed - edited bit - as they were on your land not the public walkway there were trespassing
Well done Joanne. Great lambs. It's the worst spring i have ever lambed sheep outside but thankfully it's over for another year. Them walkers with Dogs 🐕 are a nightmare. They haven't a brain in their head. Better weather coming next week. Don't be getting upset or stressed out. Your doing a fantastic job 👏 You won't get through lambing without a Visit to the Vet's. I notice you have great strong lambs and super Mother's. Take care and good luck with the remainder of the lambing xx
I hope when they end up in court and the magistrate doesn’t just let them off with a warning, but I’m not holding my breath , such selfish people yuck!
I have been watching your films for a couple of years now and really appreciate hard you two work to maintain the farm and your livestock whatever difficulties you have. After watching your last film about the dogs chasing the pregnant ewes I felt I needed to comment. Those people are stupid and arrogant, whilst walking in the countryside where there is any possibility of livestock being in the fields especially at lambing time dogs should always be on leads. I own two dogs and never have them off lead where livestock is likely to be I wouldn’t trust them not to follow their natural instincts. Hoping the weather improves for you soon and that the lambing goes well. Well done you two. Your Dad would be proud of you.
I would be screaming at that too! Please put up signs along your property and road to keep dogs on leashes and no trust passing! Those people have me so angry!😡 I’m so glad you contacted the police and the people were found. Hopefully they will stay away for your farm and sheep!
Its maddening the amount of people that seem to think its OK to let their dog get in your field and chase your sheep. I bet they would be pissed off and want your details if one of the sheep trampled the dog and hurt it.
As if the miserable weather isn't enough you also have to deal with arrogant and irresponsible dog walkers who refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Animals that harass livestock here are sometimes dealt with harshly. I hope things improve for you.
Well done Jo and Nick for keeping going under extremely difficult circumstances. Those people walking in the dales and say they didn't know there would be sheep- how clueless can you get. It's so simple: when walking your dog on property that is not your own - put the dog on a lead.
The title of this video says it all ? My heart goes out to you both having to deal with a horrible situation like that and after all the great care & attention you give the sheep. Keep the chin up despite the setbacks we’re all rooting for you both 💪💪💪
Pennsylvania is so much easier to deal with dogs. mail the collar and tag back to the owner. If the dog survives, well it has to be insured on a policy, out in public it has to be muzzled and, on a leash, if it is outside it has to be in an enclosure no on a chain in the yard. Up until 18 years ago it was more under the constables and English common law, but with the dog law they did in 2006 OMG. I know one herder that lost 8 ewes one night to a pack of 6 dogs from one owner.
Loving these lambing vids 😊 glad you’re getting a bit of rest from the weather. Unfortunately a lot of dog owners only care about their dog and nothing else. Good on the coppers for following up with it👍. Dunno if you did but maybe next time ask the vet for some evidence to go to the police as well? Videoing it was good as well👌
Thank you! I’m stressed out as hell tonight juus tired and fed up with the anxiety of feeling like I can’t keep my sheep safe and terrible weather. Absolute prat with the dog TODAY running the ewes and he owns his own land !!
@@DaleFarm deep breath and start again. You can do sweet FA with the weather and it’s surprising how tough those little sods are!😊. Ahh not again 😫 might be wise to stick some signs on the path before the field… I know it’s not your problem but might save it become your problem again. Don’t stress, it’s a waste of energy when you’ve useful stuff to use it on! Xx
Hi Joanna there is just no word's for these people and they just don't care. They need naming and shaming, hope you get some better weather soon. Take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Again, so sorry you're having such a time of it. If the prat owns land, perhaps you own it now - an acre of land as compensation for the deceased lamb and vet bill plus stress, anxiety & hardship on you. Maybe another acre for that terrible threat against Nick too. Then they might start paying attention. At the minimum, the local paper could feature them in an article & show their faces. Proper shame can work wonders too.
How can you price the stress that it caused your sheep and yourselves. Dog owners like that shouldn’t have dogs, they don’t understand the countryside and have no respect, they need to go back to the city. I feel for you both as you work hard and very dedicated to your sheep, they are in good hands with you so remember that.
Beautiful lambs. The dog owners have to take some responsibility and compensate for damages. Outrageous and self-entitled nonsense for the dog owners. Shame on them. I am glad you have reported it to the police.
You make sure and get the compensating you deserve even if it has to go to court any judge will rule in your favor you have the video .these people and others needs to be taught a lesson and the only way is throught their pocket .im a sheep farmer in lreland and can feel your pain as i went throught the same .keep your chin up it can only get better .kieran ❤
It’s an issue most farmers have, some don’t seem to care either, just our dog playing with the sheep,Yea ok should call the cops,if you have that issue they can not refuse name address to them, they can also be fined for their dogs not under control, but I guess you know that one.The only thing I can remember is a farmer, put signs to keep dogs on lead, dogs worrying sheep will be shot if caught .That works with some people, take care both.
a Pyrenees or a Kangal would have had those dogs for breakfast, bet they wouldn't accept a "sorry" then. I do wonder why I don't see more livestock guardian dogs, but I'm pretty clueless about running a farm
I don't know if it's accurate but I've seen it discussed elsewhere on other channels that they don't actually do well in protecting in England/Scotland because they actually don't have enough work. There's basically only the foxes and the dogs and neither are frequent enough to keep the LGD stimulated and they get high strung as a result. Don't know if it's true though, all sorts of stuff gets discussed in comments like it's facts.
@@TheKgr320 that sounds like a lot of sense, I did see a video on youtube once of some guy in liverpool with a whole bunch of LGD's that seemed to be happy enough with some animals, but I guess that wasn't a true working environment and more about some guy wanting several massive dogs to look after
Terrible dog responsibility.. sorry isn't good enough. N the way they turned it around on u is disgusting. I hope u got details or at least there faces on cam for yourself to prove things if need be. I'm so sorry u had to deal w ppl like tht. ❤❤❤ Edit kammi n his wife had same issue n his wife n ewes pregnant n chaos I felt so bad for them too ❤😢
My heart is broken and words fail me to express my opinion of the people that let there dogs run and cause all the terrible outcomes. Sadly the world has people like that and faith will prevail in hopes that they get what they deserve. Keep your dad close and hope that good will come in the end. Peace and love to you. Cheers.
The law needs to change, with regard to running dogs off lead in the countryside, people are to ignorant to understand, half of them don’t even want to!! You handled it well both of you, hope things get better from here on in. Good luck.
Cammie of the sheep game does have same problem with dogs get on to the police and report it against them in book in case it happens again.keep hope up spring good weather on the way 👍
So glad the police took you seriously. Farmers have it so hard & it's getting harder, this year has been so tough and it's obvs gonna have a knock on effect next year. Keep up the good & hard work. Them 2 dog workers shud be ashamed of themselves. It's not the dogs fault, it's their fault & how they cud be so ignorant & rude. Shameful
Its been getting harder since lockdown, people started walking where they're not supposed to, leaving litter behind and all sorts! Weather is one thing, but people are an absolute nightmare sometimes
those sort of dog owners make my blood bold --the woman ( i did not know there were sheep in the field ) where does she expect the sheep to be and what were they doing on your land as there is no footpath --i hope they pay you some compensation take care
There are some absolute idiots going about the police should make them pay for the lost cost to you 😢xx hopefully things will pick up weather wise and lift the mood of everyone x
It’s sad to see people so inconsiderate. But I do have to mention, as an American 🇺🇸, I can’t help but laugh when I hear Brits have an argument. Don’t know if you realize this but that is one of the most beautiful accent. But then to hear it in an argument it’s so awkward. I can understand the frustration, but please keep the faith. You both are doing great. Y’all are putting your heart and soul into your lambs. Hope the weather starts to cooperate.
Silver lining is there's going to be loads of grass this year after this rain and lambing will do well!! I would of flipped over dogs and probably got in trouble for it you did well to hold it together
Nice to see Derbyshire Rural Crime team have now identified the dog owners but unfortunately the punishment, fines etc aren't harsh enough, should be prison sentence at least
Those people should be charged and take responsibility for the harm they caused. I can hardly believe the weather you're having! it seems to be all of the UK. I think you're having a great success at lambing under these circumstances.
Those people are so stupid it’s beyond belief. Dogs are controllable animals and the owners are responsible for the damage that they do. It’s no wonder that some farmers resort to shooting dogs found worrying sheep and cattle. I hope that you get some recompense from these two fools.
I wish people would stop letting their dogs off the leash when in a field of sheep because you don’t know how your dog is going to react & now you have a vet bill & dead lambs & they don’t care they should be made by law to pay & then just maybe they will think twice about letting their dogs off
I am sorry y'all had to encounter those folks. There are always a bad person in every bunch. I am glad you contacted the police to establish there is situation hare and you are trying to educate people that they do have responsibilires even if they don't think they do. I do hope it works out well for you. Cya next time bye fir now
Some very beautiful pictures of the sky and the little lambs together and ask for those people just tell them the price of mutton just went up 😁 in the price of dog just went down would you like to have seen that guy try to do what he said he was going to do to Nick I don't think he 1would have tried but once 😆 and just remember love in 2 each life a little rain must Fall even the lambs 👌😎🐝
Cammie had the same problem, only he had a couple of sheep killed by dogs.....and yes, he "lost it" with the dog owner too. I'm so sorry you had to go thru that.
This is very emotional and heartbreaking video to hear about those dogs chased your sheep and you lost some little lambs and you did confront them and they didn’t take any responsibility for what the dogs did I say only this those dogs are very lucky Keep strong Joanne you and Nic 🥲
This was a big failure of the right to roam act and requires revision as irresponsible people are damaging livelihoods and also the environment. Essentially it went to far .
Oh Joanna , I am so sorry , so sorry . Can you take itvto the council ,?? I am in shock how those people had no remorse or care for nothing but themselves . I am glad you caught it on film . Take it to council see if you can identify theise people .?? . Its been a real ruff season for every one I watch . Cammy of sheep game had a dog attack . They have lost quit a few they dont have much shelter . Crowley farm lost seventeen right from yhe start .It was a disease . Ive just been watching you for four years never seen it yhis way . One day at a time . It is ruff . I send you a huggs . To you both . Your doing a hard job and making it . Take one day at a time .
You are both doing such a good job in terrible conditions, it stresses me out enough down south in a barn! Bless you guys and God save us from the ignorant public. So angry with those @$$h0€!$..
I know exactly how you feel. . I know just how upsetting it is having livestock dogged. Going out to check and finding dead mauled sheep and the time it takes to nurse back to health sheep with flesh injuries. when dog owners had to have a license, dog worrying was clearly stated. Licences were abandoned due to cost of administration, time to bring it back bearing in mind the XL bullies
You need big huge signs regards dogs and law about sheep worrying etc for these idiots who refuse to understand...so frustrating.,thank god no right to walk etc here in Republic of Ireland. Im glad the police are involved, keep fighting your case.
It is an offence for a dog to be out oontol causing fear or apprehension to people or livestock. A dog doesn't actually have to cause physical harm for there to be legal consequences and for the dog to end up on death row. Owners nedd to be educated of this fact. They were so ignorant and rude. People like this dont deserve dogs!
Where I live here in the States, folks are required to keep their dogs on leash. And if they don't, they are responsible for any damages their dogs cause. I had a 'situation' similar to what you, Joanna, and Nick encountered - the person was really ignorant about the law and personal responsibility. Frustrating as hell! Life can have it's moments for sure, BUT, you, Joanna, and Nick stood your ground in admirable fashion and didn't loss focus on the job at had! I'm certain y'all won't forget those 'faces' anytime soon. Continued success - the lambs look GRAND! Be well - many blessings! Cheers...
Ye doin a great job with the lambs. You will always have people like those 2 but hopefully not too often. Maybe carry a gun in the Kubota for pest control and farm security. Good luck with the rest of lambing.
Your doing a great job this weather is the worst and i do Feel for you lambing farmers and as for dig owners i can't repeat my words as if sorry going to help bloody people and i see you had another one hope the police do something🤞🤞 Take care love u 💓
I think there is a good chance of a successful prosecution from the Police if you also went to the local papers at the very least it might make some ignorant people behave more responsible. Those people should compensate you, it is the right thing to do or face a court appearance, their choice.
Those people with the Dogs should know better and be more aware of their surroundings… You are walking around Farming Area… Have some sense of Respect! Keep your chin up and stay Warm and Dry! ✌️🇨🇦
As a dog owner myself I am horrified at those dog walkers' attitudes, so selfish and ignorant they absolutely should be paying compenasation for the havoc they caused. You would think that even if they don't care enough for the sheep and the farmers that they would be concerned enough about their own dogs to keep them on lead and under control since even in the UK a farmer is within their rights to shoot an out of control dog that is worrying their livestock. If people don't shape up their attitudes and learn to respect farmers by sticking to the marked footpaths, keeping dogs under close control and picking up after them, closing gates, picking up litter etc ie all the basic country code stuff we were taught as kids, then we'll end up eventually losing the right to access those ancient, centuries old footpaths for walking and enjoying the beautiful countryside. I really feel for you, dog owners like the ones in this video anger and frustrate me so I can't imagine what it feels like for the farmers whose livelihoods are directly impacted.
When I was working at a store we had fake surveillance cameras. They are fairly cheap and run on AA battery. They are visually indistinguishable from normal cameras, if you're not a security expert. Visually has a lense inside a glass case and a blinking light. Put them on perimeter with wires attached and put up signs explaining that people who release their fleebags will be filmed, reported to the police, and sued for all dead lambs. And consider purchasing a pneumatic gun, at the very least. It is clear that these people are out there hunting your livestock. I seriously doubt it was a fox. Maybe they even frequent your farm to kill and steal lambs. I watched three videos and all dogs are similar. Dark, curly fur. Most likely, related. I had experience with dog owners hunting my pets (cats). In their opinion, the moment they purchased a pup, the world revolves around them, and if it bites you when you're minding your own business, it's your fault for existing in near proximity with their pooch. Only death threat to the dog will, at least temporarily, redirect their thinking processes from scrotum to cranium.
Hi Jo and Nick. The response of the dogs walkers to the police shows what you you are up against when dealing with idiots, grrrrrrr. Good to see the updates during lambing season and that the adopted lamb is working out well. Sending good vibes from down south.
COME ON DOG OWNERS IF YOU WANT TO EXERCISE YOUR DOG AT THIS TIME OF YEAR AND YOUR CLOSE TO SHEEP BUY A 25/30 FOOT LONG LINE. JUST BE RESPECTFUL TO THE FARMER/SMALLHOLDER
Jo also report the sheep worrying to the NFU if your with them they can claim any losses vet bills from the dog owners as we lost 12 in lamb sheep to sheep worry this year the NFU are taking a big stance on sheep worrying
@@DaleFarm thank you the last one was the second case of worrying we had in a year, if you claim keep a log of that mob of sheep as any more complications with them ie losses abortions medication disposal cost can be claimed if you can get the police to press charges it carries a £1,000 fine to the dog owner’s just remember it ok to not be ok if you need to know more message use
I think it's getting to the point where farmers are having to take a gun when checking sheep and if dog worrying sheep return it back to owner in a bag
You're doing a fine job despite everything seemingly going bonkers. So sorry about the loss of your lambs. While watching the video and then hearing those idiots defend their nasty dogs, I wanted to leap over your wall & "chase" them awhile! Horrid behavior on the owner's part. I love dogs but they need to stay away from livestock! Especially during lambing, etc. The owners definitely owe you compensation, not only for the vet, the lamb but also for your additional stress. Not good. Good luck.
Report them to the police. The man who threatened Nick might have committed an assault. Then you can apply for their details. You are absolutely right, any failure to control their dog that leads to a loss in livestock is recoverable against them in damages. I’m so angry on your behalf. 😡
can you report people to the police if you don´t have theyre details? this is making me sad to see that people are so ignorant
Those people are oblivious to the fact that sheep can lose lambs when worried and each lamb lost costs money for you. Horrendous ignorance.
Those people need to be taken through the court. It will highlight the issues more to the general public. In Scotland they could be fined up to £40,000 or up to 12 months in prison, but I don’t think that would ever happen!

So darn frustrating when people are ignorant, selfish and dense
And they certainly look old enough to know county rules and regulations
Those dog walker owners have no worthy idea the amount of work, care necessary to farm/ranch. ❤😢

People can be very difficult when they make a mistake and they will not admit to the deed that their dogs did to your sheep.
Those are the types that give dog owners a bad name
Joanna, your incident with the dogs and their ignorant and pig arrogant scumbag owners bought back some unpleasant memories for me. The incident occured at night back in 1977 when some dogs chased our entire dairy herd that we had at the time over and though a barb wire boundary fence. We now have my neighbours pedigree sheep but run three rows of electric fencing from the main electric fencing unit.. no dogs or people problems since
If they refuse to do the right thing and give you the details, show the faces they don't deserve privacy.
Those dog owners, total denial, beyond belief, you won't see them again, they will walk elsewhere. I am a dog owner and things can go wrong but they were not even being careful.
Yes, a really unfortunate situation!
I totally feel for you, with those dog owners. I hope they DO face consequences. The first year I had sheep lambing, my niece moved in (I live with my father, so have no veto power) and her dogs worry my sheep all the time. Perhaps ironically, but now my niece is reaping what she sowed.
Take care xx
disgusting . they think they can do what they want.. no regard for your livestock..
did you see Cami from the Sheep Game the other day they had a spaniel in the sheep flock and the owner could not get control of it Lizzie who is 35 week pregrant is chasing it to try and get hold of it - Cami came in with the buggy and ran it over to stop it - by law he is allowed to do that (he is a retired cop) he filmed it for evidence - dog survived and needed a vet visit - needs to go as a article on the front page of the comunity newspaper - ask them if they will do a piece and give them a photo of the dogs that caused the problem just like you have filmed - edited bit - as they were on your land not the public walkway there were trespassing
Definitely report it to the police. 100%.
Yes we did
Well done Joanne.
Dog owners can be so freaking selfish and unreasonable.Lucky I am not there.
❤️
What an attitude those 2 had.
👀🙄🐾👍You should have given the dog an injection of vitamin PB
Its maddening the amount of people that seem to think its OK to let their dog get in your field and chase your sheep. I bet they would be pissed off and want your details if one of the sheep trampled the dog and hurt it.
As if the miserable weather isn't enough you also have to deal with arrogant and irresponsible dog walkers who refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Animals that harass livestock here are sometimes dealt with harshly. I hope things improve for you.
Some people think the countryside is a theme park that exists only for their own amusement. So frustrating.
Yeah I agree xx
Thank you for the support
You make sure and get the compensating you deserve even if it has to go to court any judge will rule in your favor you have the video .these people and others needs to be taught a lesson and the only way is throught their pocket .im a sheep farmer in lreland and can feel your pain as i went throught the same .keep your chin up it can only get better .kieran ❤
Big hugs to you both, we all care about you so much. Keep your dogs on a lead at all times in the country side.
Heh up Joanne you're becoming a farmer.
a Pyrenees or a Kangal would have had those dogs for breakfast, bet they wouldn't accept a "sorry" then.
@@TheKgr320 that sounds like a lot of sense, I did see a video on youtube once of some guy in liverpool with a whole bunch of LGD's that seemed to be happy enough with some animals, but I guess that wasn't a true working environment and more about some guy wanting several massive dogs to look after
These people are a disgraceful lot.
Terrible dog responsibility.. sorry isn't good enough. N the way they turned it around on u is disgusting. I hope u got details or at least there faces on cam for yourself to prove things if need be. I'm so sorry u had to deal w ppl like tht. ❤❤❤
Edit kammi n his wife had same issue n his wife n ewes pregnant n chaos I felt so bad for them too ❤😢
My heart is broken and words fail me to express my opinion of the people that let there dogs run and cause all the terrible outcomes. Sadly the world has people like that and faith will prevail in hopes that they get what they deserve. Keep your dad close and hope that good will come in the end. Peace and love to you. Cheers.
Nicely put.
The law needs to change, with regard to running dogs off lead in the countryside, people are to ignorant to understand, half of them don’t even want to!!
You handled it well both of you, hope things get better from here on in. Good luck.
Cammie of the sheep game does have same problem with dogs get on to the police and report it against them in book in case it happens again.keep hope up spring good weather on the way 👍
Hard going, Do you Follow Sheep Shepherd have in West Ireland,
So glad the police took you seriously.
Weather is one thing, but people are an absolute nightmare sometimes
so sorry this has happened joanne,,there are some very ignorant people in this world..I hope the police prosecute them,,
those sort of dog owners make my blood bold --the woman ( i did not know there were sheep in the field ) where does she expect the sheep to be and what were they doing on your land as there is no footpath --i hope they pay you some compensation take care
Criminal proceedings by consent aye.. police need to assert their authority here.
There are some absolute idiots going about the police should make them pay for the lost cost to you 😢xx hopefully things will pick up weather wise and lift the mood of everyone x
Those rude people with the dogs don't have a clue about livestock. It would make the pope swear what they did. Hope it gets better for you guys.
A lady around me lost her dog into some pedigree sheep and ended up paying over £60'00 (3 lambs)
I know what it can be like. Hope they're better days to come. Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Weather is forecasted to improve next week. Here's hoping...
Cya next time bye fir now
Sheep seems to be a long way from farm yard handy field joining farm yard would be safer until them little lamb's get hardier
I saw, truly awful
This is very emotional and heartbreaking video to hear about those dogs chased your sheep and you lost some little lambs and you did confront them and they didn’t take any responsibility for what the dogs did
I say only this those dogs are very lucky
Keep strong Joanne you and Nic 🥲
It was a horrible situation, I don’t want it to happen again but unfortunately we had a second incident a few days later
@@DaleFarm no good Joanne I have a suggestion for you put some warning signs for the dogs walking saying hold your dog on leash sheep zone area 🤞
This was a big failure of the right to roam act and requires revision as irresponsible people are damaging livelihoods and also the environment. Essentially it went to far .
Agree xx
Oh Joanna , I am so sorry , so sorry . Can you take itvto the council ,??
I am in shock how those people had no remorse or care for nothing but themselves .
I am glad you caught it on film . Take it to council see if you can identify theise people .?? .
Its been a real ruff season for every one

It is ruff . I send you a huggs . To you both . Your doing a hard job and making it .
Take one day at a time .

Flogged the lot.
Pedigree AA
HAPPY OUT 😊 😄
😀😀😀
Called a stressed farmer due to seeing sheep stressed 😢
Yep ❤️
You are both doing such a good job in terrible conditions, it stresses me out enough down south in a barn! Bless you guys and God save us from the ignorant public. So angry with those @$$h0€!$..
Thank you for the support
I know exactly how you feel. . I know just how upsetting it is having livestock dogged. Going out to check and finding dead mauled sheep and the time it takes to nurse back to health sheep with flesh injuries. when dog owners had to have a license, dog worrying was clearly stated. Licences were abandoned due to cost of administration, time to bring it back bearing in mind the XL bullies
Keep good and keep safe ❤
You need big huge signs regards dogs and law about sheep worrying etc for these idiots who refuse to understand...so frustrating.,thank god no right to walk etc here in Republic of Ireland.
Im glad the police are involved, keep fighting your case.
That's great work with your sheep 🐑 girl and that's a lovely Scenery to ❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Thanks! Towards Vet bill
❤️thank you ❤️
Them two dogs owner’s have a f..king clue 🤬
Cheers...
In the states,it would be an unalive dog real quick. Too many people here are armed to put up with those ignorant wankers and their clueless dogs.
Keep your sheep 🐑 safe girl ❤❤
Thank you
Well done both of you. Thank you for taking the time to tell us. Lambing is a very busy time. Hope you get somewhere with the townies. Mike
❤️
Entitled townies probably don't have the first clue. As a country girl I genuinely have an all out hate for entitled people like those dog owners.
Ye doin a great job with the lambs. You will always have people like those 2 but hopefully not too often. Maybe carry a gun in the Kubota for pest control and farm security. Good luck with the rest of lambing.
Your doing a great job this weather is the worst and i do Feel for you lambing farmers and as for dig owners i can't repeat my words as if sorry going to help bloody people and i see you had another one hope the police do something🤞🤞
Take care love u 💓
I think there is a good chance of a successful prosecution from the Police if you also went to the local papers at the very least it might make some ignorant people behave more responsible. Those people should compensate you, it is the right thing to do or face a court appearance, their choice.
Those people with the Dogs should know better and be more aware of their surroundings… You are walking around Farming Area… Have some sense of Respect! Keep your chin up and stay Warm and Dry! ✌️🇨🇦
I'm so sorry , people can be absolute idiots ..especially at lambing time
Yes sadly very ignorant
So sorry you guys had such appalling experience
As a sheep farmer it gets me so incensed by such ignorant behaviour
Thank you x
Only death threat to the dog will, at least temporarily, redirect their thinking processes from scrotum to cranium.
keep strong guys. ur awsome:)
Feel for you, but those city slickers were trespassing, harassing animals and making threats! Rural Crime Police in Derbyshire need to be patrolling.
Jo also report the sheep worrying to the NFU if your with them they can claim any losses vet bills from the dog owners as we lost 12 in lamb sheep to sheep worry this year the NFU are taking a big stance on sheep worrying
Thank you for this information, sorry it happened to you like that. Awful
So sorry for the trouble u have had. You need a fire arms certificate so u can dispatch the dog. Hope the rest of lambing goes smoothly hun xxx
Not good. Good luck.
