Oh man. Keep him on the straight and narrow. Try to even farm out hastega early. It's so worth it. In that path he gets really good mp scaling. He's really broken honestly. Before the end game, you can equip him with first strike and he always gets the hastega off first, which really messes around with the order of things. Absolutely insane. Falls off a bit when you get everyone's grid maxed. At this point in the game, he is ridiculous.
The best thing I did was have all of my aeons and team on Overdrive before I went into battle. Once I got into battle I used cheer, focus, haste, and luck on everyone then used all of Overdrives. I start from weakest aeon to strongest and once my aeon used its overdrive, I’ll move on to the next strongest one but, if by some miracle that aeon is still alive after he hits me, then I’d heal that aeon up and hope that I can charge up another overdrive if I can’t, then I’ll move on to the next aeon. Use every Overdrive I have for him and I won within 20-30 mins 😅
Thank you so much i still dont have hastega so the provoke tactic worked really well, i never use provoke often so i'm glad that move came in clutch for me even though i felt bad using tidus as bait essentially aha
I did this strategy, not sure all the buffing is required though. I did it most if it, but after the initial stuff, you just attack, move and heal. Repeat.
Nice, stuck on this so I need to give it another go. Lulu with doublecast is pretty great since the boss only attacks once, but I never realised the buffs stacked. Got this far without knowing how to defend haha.
i just had a situation where he keep counter attacking using the scythe, hitting 3 fields on my dead wakka, so i was able to keep attacking with my other 2 character for a few times, until he turned, and i had to set it up again :D
I just casted haste on yuna and angled them perfectly, he for some reason kept attacking auron which is great! Considering he has the most health so it allowed me to take advantage and spam my overdrives 😂 (No berserk ward required either)
I'm doing another playthrough of this game and this guy nearly had me a few times. Thankfully his beserk tail only succeeded once. But damn is he annoying. There were a few times where I COULD have ended the fight, but I wanted to make sure certain characters got EXP. When I thought I had used everyone, I brought out Bahamut and unleashed Mega Flare on him. Then I saw that I never used Kimahri. It's too bad most bosses don't give you the same amount of EXP as the Sephirmorph cause that gave me sphere levels PER CHARACTER.
Best guide I’ve seen on the fight thank you so much beat it first try
I’m so mad I made tidus go in the wrong direction and he doesn’t have hastega
Same

So, I just defeated this naughty one and finally could continue the game. Thanks a lot man!
This just saved me from having to spend another hour on this fight!!!! Thank you!!!

I got pissed off and this exact thing with Seymour Flux on Gagazet. That was such a stupid fight that even Yunalesca didn't piss me off as much.
I had no clue Cheer had a stacking effect. Shoot, thats a fail on the Game designer for not making that clear.

Thank you! I followed this strategy and before I could even blink, I've already defeated this boss. Haha.
easiest i find is have all your aeons overdrives ready an hammer away mega flare is the one does about 20k-25k
This is a great strategy, thanks for the upload :)
This helped so much thanks!
i made wakka go in the wrong direction on the sphere grid and now he weak af

I was thinking about that too

Just got to this point in the game for the first tim

Thanks man) Just tried that out. I made it, all thanks to you)

what a pain in the arse this fight is! I've got 0 "ga" spells and Kimhari is weaker than a cats piss in a Tiger den ... same with Tidus :(
Why do all the bosses cheat on FFX, like why do they get three turns in a row, for what reason? It's so dumb
It's the same with every turn based ff game lmao, they get multiple turns because they're bosses and you'd steamroll them if they didn't
Beast bro!!! Thank you
Awesome tactics, thanks 🙏 Just wondering why not using summons?
Esuna didnt work when they had berserk cause they always had reflect for some reason
You legend 💪🏻

Really helped us.
I made it all the way to this boss without even knowing I could defend... 😒
I need help with this battle
Actually, now I am a bit more confident that I can beat it......Yuna's aeons save the day once again.
The game got super hard ever since that one seymour battle 💀
@@fruitymcflood8198Omnis was the hardest one to me, Flux was surprisingly not that bad (Yunas Aeons)
@@benzerious yeah i agree but atleast grinding becomes much easier with the airship
Cannot beat this boss. Bout to just quit playing the game.
get all your aeons over drives powered up it a piece of piss with them
You only really need bahamut to overdrive then just smash it down the rest of the way with normal attacks
I beat him using Grand Summon with Yojimbo plus one hit of 10.000 gils. It took me literally two hits and he died LOL
Or you can just cheese him with yojimbo yeah...
@@jaw_jackk32 who?
Thanks
I don't know how I beat Seymour Flux but I can't beat this dude......might have to restart
Just go back and grind zanarkand ruins
@@johnedillittle416 I just strategized with yunas aeons
I purposely threw everyone everywhere on the grid for fun, it aint fun lol
Yeah…hate to say it man but this strategy already folded for me.
too long
just have to charge all overdrive
I do that but then he uses berserker tail 4 times in a row and my party died completely
Yeah you first have to do the provoke setup anyway, with haste and protect on Tidus. Then summons, it's faster
Shiva managed a 9999 attack using her overdrive against this boss so save her for last I say
This guide was awful
