  • Bad days happen. As a teacher, it's easy to lose sight of the progress that you have made and feel like a failure. These feelings are normal when you've had a rough day. However, one bad day doesn't erase all of the good days that you've had with your students and it certainly doesn't mean you aren't a good teacher. In this video, Jen, a veteran special education teacher of 20 years shares 3 things she does with her team after they have had a bad day.
    1. Focus on the wins!
    2. Take a look at your plans & have activities planned for any downtime
    3. Review your classroom expectations & find ways to support your staff.

Love this. Could we see what those reviews for both students and staff look like?

Thanks for the video. Another useful one. When I have a bad day (I am in New Zealand and a full time specialist teacher), I reflect on the day's session. Sometimes I tell myself, it is okay and other times I may find what I need to change.
