- Bad days happen. As a teacher, it's easy to lose sight of the progress that you have made and feel like a failure. These feelings are normal when you've had a rough day. However, one bad day doesn't erase all of the good days that you've had with your students and it certainly doesn't mean you aren't a good teacher. In this video, Jen, a veteran special education teacher of 20 years shares 3 things she does with her team after they have had a bad day.
1. Focus on the wins!
2. Take a look at your plans & have activities planned for any downtime
3. Review your classroom expectations & find ways to support your staff.

Thank you, Jen for the transparency. Teaching isn't always easy!
So true! Thanks for watching!
Love this. Could we see what those reviews for both students and staff look like?
Thanks for the video. Another useful one. When I have a bad day (I am in New Zealand and a full time specialist teacher), I reflect on the day's session. Sometimes I tell myself, it is okay and other times I may find what I need to change.
Love that! Thank you so much for sharing!
