Will the 2023 Honda Accord be AWD?
Like previous generations of the Accord, the 2023 model does not offer all-wheel drive. The hybrid powertrain takes a more prominent position in the lineup.
Buyers will have a choice of two different powertrains. A 192-horsepower, turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder serves as the base engine and is the only internal-combustion unit left; the uprated 252-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder has been discontinued. An optional hybrid combines an updated 2.0-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors and produces a system total of 204 hp and 247 pounds-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission.
The 2023 Accord is also looking to impress buyers with its revamped interior and safety upgrades. That includes a standard 7-inch touchscreen with integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, improvements to its Honda Sensing safety suite, and new airbag technology and an enhanced body structure.
