I would wait to buy Wurmcoil Engine, since it gets a Reprint in Brothers War. Though it is a Mystical Archive-esque Reprint, it will probably drop a bit.
FYI you can pick up devoted Druid for .50 and blood artists for 1$ both are at all time lows right now and extremely good pick up and staples just go look at their prices from last year

I had like 40+ copies from back in the days, some in chinese. Was a nice surprise when I got trade offers for like 10 to 20 euros for just one copy a few years ago.
I've had Vivian, Monster's Advocate in some competitive lists for pattern of rebirth combos and a lot of other creature combo decks. Using the -2 and casting academy rector and finding a sac outlet won me games on the spot. In a hoof deck you can -2 cast hoof and get avenger of zendikar then kill everyone. In a kiki-pod deck -2 cast kiki-jiki and get any creature that combos with kiki and so on. She is very underrated.
I love Akroma's Will. Annihilated the board with my Jodah, the Unifier deck this weekend with it. It did help that I had Karlach and Jetmir out aswell :). 48 damage to my first opponent, and then 48 to my second opponent. That left me with board position and an overwhelming amount of life to grind out the last one.
Awesome spell.

I feel like Plumb the Forbidden deserves a mention. It's slowly climbing in price as people catch on to how good that effect is at instant speed.
I have nearly 100 copy’s just waiting for them to spike half are foils picked them up for .25-.50 when they were first printed
Magecraft does not trigger twice for Mizzix's Mastery.
Magecraft triggers when you cast a spell, or copy a spell.
Mizzix's Mastery copies cards, and then casts them as spells.
(cards in exile are not spells)

Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge is my recent new include for my Alela deck. I converted it to a Displacer Kitten deck and Tezzeret is a 2 card combo for the Cat. If I have a way to make artifacts from casting Lotus Petal then it wins the game on top of it. I might switch the commander to the new Warhammer 40K Token commander to use the mana from the command zone to draw the cards I need to win. ATM I find it more fun with tons of Faeries.
Back in the beforetimes, we used to punish greedy mana bases and Blood Moon wasn't a huge deal. I may have to start playing it more.
I love this series but I would love to see more cards that aren't worth it so I know what to avoid or wait on

Vivian, Monster's Advocate is one of my favorite cards. Highly agree worth $5, hell I'd say worth $10. It can find so many good options. If your commander is a high CMC then you have a free tutor for almost anything. I use it with Prossh to stack the triggers so I make the Kobalds, Then tutor Korvold, Sac a Kobald, Draw a card, Resolve Prossh. Then I can sac more Kobalds to draw more cards. That is only one of the ways to use it. Super good pick.
Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge is one of the cards I'm most proud of having. Back in WAR we bought a box with my pals and had our own sealed event. Winner would get the BBP, in this case Tezzeret. During spoiler season I had noted that the Shriekdiver was absolute bonkers limited card, not a bomb so to say, but if I get it down turn 3 I can start pumping in 2 damage each turn, and with an ability to pay {1} to grant it haste, I was happy to get 3 of them from my boosters, and as a nail in the coffin my finisher was some mythic X spell that made angels. Tezzeret has once been traded to one of my friends, but since they did nothing with it, he's now sitting in my Breya-deck
I traded for lili dreadhorde a few weeks back and was hesitant about cause it’s a 6 mana planeswalker but then I drew like 10+ cards in one turn and won the first time I played her. She’s worth it!

RULES CHECK ON MIZZIX MASTERY FROM AN IZZET PLAYER
Magecraft triggers when a "SPELL" is copied, if it is not on the stack, it is not a spell.
The handful of cards that read "copy, then cast" are, to my knowledge, just a single magecraft trigger.
Yes, Mastery copies the CARD, then casts the SPELL. Magecraft will trigger just from the casting. Magecraft also triggers from effects that just copy spells "directly", like Storm. Very common misreading on the Nerd's part.

Quick rules correction: here is the gatherer ruling for Mizzix's Mastery and Magecraft effects!
Some effects instruct you to copy an instant or sorcery card in a zone other than the stack. These copies do not cause magecraft abilities to trigger. However, most effects that do this also allow you to cast the copy, and casting the copy will cause magecraft abilities to trigger.

That tezzeret is so good in my tivit, seller of secrets deck. He’s usually making a minimum of 5 artifacts a turn once he gets down and I usually have at least 20 artifacts on the field so he ends the game real quick. The affinity is just gravy

Academy manufactor is very good in my clue deck. The deck just makes clues. Academy manufactor just gives me free mana to sac those clues with lol.

18:00 Barrier breach is about the best way to deal with purphoros, at least if you have green.
i think the only problem with shadowgrange archfiend is how many plaguecrafter type effects there are that sure you dont get the body, but its much easier to recur and cast
Hitting the biggest creature really pushes this card to the top of my list and the fact that I can be done at instant speed

I think faerie artisans is super underrated in marneus calgar decks. Only in 7.5% of the decks. Draw a card whenever an opponent plays a creature card at minimum and get the etbs and dies triggers if you have a sac outlet plus always have a chump blocker

Prators council also gives you no max handsize for the rest of the game. Been playing it in my Jonah, archimage eternal deck. It's not quite the finisher, but it puts your finishers in your hand
Shadowgrange Archfiend is pretty good, but if you're only looking to use the ability once, you can use Soul Shatter instead, which is either an instant or sorcery, I don't remember. It is only 2 colorless, 1 black.
I love field of the dead as well! Had someone just just give me a foil copy when it came out. It’s amazing in my yarok deck and I also play thespian stage and vesuva so I can get 6 zombies per landfall trigger. Play ulvenvald hydra to tutor for it too so I usually grab it and gaea’s cradle since it triggers twice with yarok
The fact that you cast copies with Mizzix`s Mastery makes it more crazy with thousand-year storm
It is a very silly card
I do not like blood moon that much, because it locks out interaction while not effecting only some players. The pay 3 mana to help the mono white player win can be a huge downside.
Moxfield is an increditble resource! Especially if you're on Tabletop Simulator.
Wrong takeaway? I put razaketh in my cart lol. but I do run Archon in my Sygg deck which is "tuned but fair," (no combos, few tutors etc.) and your description is exactly what I was thinking.

I have a Korean one and the Hangul really pops in foil.
Just built tivit and hard included tezz bridge master, academy manufactor and mana drain. Even foiled and alt art'd the mana drain.
Shadow grange and Archon of Cruelties are two cards I absolutely hate. Probably cause one of the guys in my pod plays an Olivia deck with a ton of sac outlets so I see these cards every single game. And he 100% is never paying for them with mana. I’ve seen turn 3 Archons before and let me tell you it makes for some fun games..
Unless you're into stax BS, Blood Sun is a way more fun alternative for Blood Moon. It shuts down every non-mana ability of all lands and draws you a card on ETB. Let your group play their decks, just without fancy Field of the Dead, Manland shennanigans and so on ^^ Also it's just 50ct or something like that.
I don’t remember who it was but some other channel was saying that nonblack was a big deal, it’s really not when the spell is free
Funny thing about Field of the Dead, I use it in Muldrotha lands matter and play basics and snow-lands with a bunch of utility lands. Turn 4 and the tokens start comin and they don't stop comin.

On Field of the Dead, I currently only run it in my Aesi landfall deck where its a pseudo wincon since the deck has a bunch of land tutors and the vesuva thespian stage package. However it already draws enough hate in those games (as in people getting annoyed IRL hate) that I avoided putting it in other decks, even tho most of my landbases is like 3-8 basics lol. Just seems like the kind of card that will make the table groan if they encounter it every 2nd deck you play
I know you guys are high on Faerie Artisans, particularly for its ability to copy opponent's ETB triggers. Have you considered Aboleth Spawn? It's one mana cheaper, has flash and ward. I've been very happy with it personally.

Joe and Beezy just caused mass panic with the Mana Drain flub. LOL. My eyes nearly popped out of my face... Snuff Out has a HUGE downside - the creature has to be non-black. It's good, but not super.
This month is a good one for me I guess. I've got marneus artifact tokens deck under construction. A lot of cards mentioned are already in the deck.

Oh Field of the Dead, when I pulled one years back, I thought it was useless trash. I now have three(potentially four) decks that are all the better for its presence. Add to that the other decks that would not be worse if it were in them.

Don't agree with wormcoil engine... not bcuz its not good bcuz it definitely is in power 8 or lower. I don't agree with buying it at $18 bcuz its being reprinted in a month in brothers war. It'll drop in price after brothers war and my guess is that BW will sell like crazy, almost every player will want a couple boxes.

you keep listing the one reason commander is such a rediculous format. rule 0 blood moon. why not just rule 0 spells that search libraries so the casual group just depends totally on draws? i understand it hoses their mana base, but thats a chance you take RUNNING NON BASIC LANDS. if we play all creatures, should we rule 0 creature removal?
No, you wouldn't rule zero creature removal. But you might rule zero a 3 mana enchantment that says "all creatures lose all abilities and become 1/1s". I think that would be a pretty unfun card in the same way blood moon is unfun.
@@jayjayhooksch1 ok, so if blood moon is unfun, are you rule zeroing kormus bell too? kormus bell with engineered plague nukes all swamps, and blanket of night makes all.lands swamps. perma land lock. its part of the game. banning aspects of the game.that arent decided by the commander rules committee seema to me like you cant handle playing against it more than it being unfun.
@@andykapsar4667 blanket of night doesn't do what you think it does. kormus bell plus engineer is pretty nasty though, but at least it requires 2 cards so there's some opportunity to interact with one or the other pieces.
I don't really think there's anything controversial about saying that cards that make it so some players can't play the game are unfun.
@@jayjayhooksch1 then ill use urborg, tomb of yawgmoth. my point still is just because its an "unfun" mechanuc doesnt mean it shoukd be banned from a table. i personally find people who win just be souping up creatures with cheesy equipment, turning them sideways and beating face pretty one dimesional, but im not going to rule 0 goyf, splinter twin or whatever other creatures are staples from the game. a balance of the game is having ways to keep others in check. too many creatures? wrath or damnation. too many lands? armageddon. board state too hectic? cataclysm dont like tribal? extinction. blood moon is just a balance against people depending too much on one thing.

This is why rule zero is so important. If you don't find it unfun, and neither does your playgroup. Then go ahead and play that stuff. If another group wants to ban it so that they can all have fun, then they will do that.
