Stephen, I am so grateful for your videos. What I am craving is a new video where somebody gives you a pile of marbles, and you think out loud so we can see then process just as us novices are faced with figuring out maker, method of making and time of making. First video would be starting with more common ones, and successive videos could go increasingly to more rare varieties.

Hi Jo and thank you ! I do plan to try something like that, the Beach Marbles Identifications is pretty similar content to what you are describing, and there is a section in the Alley Agate Identifications part 1 video where I go in to separating swirl marbles . I need to finish up and upload some pre recorded content first, and then I will focus on basic identification stuff. Thank you for the request and viewership!

Hey Stephen, thanks for showing us your beautiful collection. I'm pretty overwhelmed by all the styles and brands. Do the limeades always iridesce in blacklight? I have a marble that I thought might be an Akro Agate limeade in a kind of corkscrew with yellow, oxblood, and blue along with the green base, but blacklight doesn't do anything to it like it does to yours so now I'm not so sure. It seems pretty aged with some signs of wear, but I think it's pretty high quality. Then again, that could be my inexperience talking.

I love your videos! Ive watched this one 3 or 4 times in 2 days. Your marbles are so beautiful they are mesmerizing. I have a question about the glowing from the UV light. Will this only happen in Akro Agate marbles? I have a few hundred marbles that came from my grandparents house ( In the 1970s, I remember her referring to them as antique marbles, so they have to be old). I am about to pull my hair out trying to figure them out (in a good way :)). I shone a uv light on them and a whole bunch lite up like gangbusters and lots have hot pink and florescent orange ribbons, squiggles, and patches. If I knew that this meant that these were probably Akro Agates, then maybe I could use them as a frame of reference for figuring out some of the other marbles...or at least I'd have a starting point.
Thank you so much for your videos. I look forward to seeing more!
