I absolutely LOVE Bumi talking to the statue of Aang! It's so sweet, but also very sad. It's bad enough that he wasn't an airbender, which I'm sure Aang was the most hopeful for since it would've been the first airbender born in 100 years, but he wasn't even a waterbender like his mother. Then, adding to the fact that his younger siblings were benders didn't help him feel any better as a child of the Avatar. I'm sure joining the military was his way of showing his dad he could help others. I love Bumi as a character! I also just love the fact that Aang wasn't a perfect father.
Varrick saying, the reason he even BUILT the Xui Li (the boat) was to escape a crazy Ex was just AWESOME. He clearly knows what Bolin is going through.
I can't get over Bolin bungling the bribing situation in the courtroom. Did he just pick two random guys and think they could somehow fix the trial if he paid them?
Bumi being a non bender child to a masters and the Avatar must’ve been hard for him. I could really feel for him when he ask Aang’s statue if he’s made him proud.
"Why do you think I built this boat?!" God I love Varrick. 😆😆😆 I love the very dry Eska/Desna humor too. Desna saying "your powers of deduction are impressive!" hahahahahahaha Korra can Avatar State so well because Aang just straight up gave her that shit in the first season. The family photo at the end is so nice.
Well to be fair Aang was the only one shown who had difficulty using the Avatar State. It's supposed to be fairly easy. I mean Roku did it effortlessly when fighting Sozen aand Kyoshi did it effortlessly when she created her Island. And in the finale, Aang also did it effortlessly when he called the water to wash out the fires cause by his fight with Ozai.
That's because Aang was a child who didn't have any official Avatar training. Everybody else was a fully realized Avatar when we saw them go into the Avatar State
@@byronstone386 That's certainly a possibility. But personally I think it's just a matter of having learned all the elements being easier than only one or two. As the Avatar we SAW that Aang can use other forms of bending even without ANY training, but then he'd get taxed afterwards.
Aang was completely out of balance internally which is why he had no control over the avatar state. When he resolves his many traumas with Guru Patik he is able to control it perfectly, until his chakra is blocked by Azulas lightning. Korra had the opposite problem, she had no real life experience so she had never had to connect to any spirituality until Amon took her bending away, the thing to which she was most attached.
@@cloudwatcher608 Aang was most certainly not out of balance internally. He was very balanced as he was easily able to adapt and conform to any circumstance. His inexperience is what blocked him. That and getting nerve damage.
Katara's brother wasn't a bender. We've seen bending "skip" people before. It seems to be some combination of genetics plus spirituality. All Air Nomads, the most spiritual people, were benders. But only a fraction of the members of other groups were benders.
I haven't read all of the comments, and I'm sure somebody has already mentioned this, but the voice actor for Tenzin is the same as Omniman in Invincible.
Bumi honestly always makes me wanna cry. He's so goofy and fun but I bet growing up he really felt like he was a disappointment. I love him sm 😭😭😭😭 I love the HC that he really bonded with Sokka even tho Aang def lived them all he obviously never had time, especially after finding out Tenzin was an airbender. Just wish Aang would've thought to bring the whole family on fun holidays.....
At this point I was still wondering if Unalaq was using his abilities to manipulate the spirits as a way to get what he wanted or if he was just taking advantage of what was happening with the dark spirits. I shan't say what I ended up believing, I don't want to add anything past this point, but I had a lot of questions about that at this point in the series.
Okay so season 1 sets up the Sato-mobile as being superior to animal mounts, right?? So how is Naga just casually outrunning this CAR. I suppose one COULD argue that it's the terrain; that it's better suited to Naga than a Sato-mobile, but if I'm Sato and I'm selling my cars to the Northern and Southern Water Tribes, then I would certainly adapt their wheels for the environment. That's just common sense. I mean Naga didn't JUST catch up she completely overtook that car. AND "it was super easy; barely an inconvenience." See what I did there?? lol
But Satomobiles don't poop in the streets requiring the local government to clean up the mess. IRL, early automobiles weren't necessarily better than horses in every circumstance (though over flat ground they could get to 40-45 mph, which is only a bit more than a horse, a horse could moves better over less level terrain), but cars were relatively low maintenance compared to horses. I think that, in-universe, fast moving animal mounts are still pretty rare. You saw more people on foot in these shows than mounted, and I don't think we ever saw another polar beardog. So, like sky bison, I don't think they are an option for everyone. And of course, there is the story-convenience of having Korra be able to catch the judge.
The dark spirits will overtake the South, Unaloq??? I though YOU said that there are NO such thing dark Spirits. That there is light and dark in all of them just as there are in people. Writing consistency error???? I wonder.
A possible penalty is death...you can receive lesser penalties at the discretion of the judge. 18 U.S.C. §2381: "Whoever...is guilty of treason...shall suffer death, *_or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."_*
I got so freaking mad at this point 7:17 , I'm like ok, the trial was sus as hell, you typically never held your tongue but chose to do it there, you try to interrogate the judge which makes sense, but then you rammed him of the road on a slippery mountain pass where he could have died and wouldn't get you anywhere closer to exonerating your father. Getting manipulated by her uncle was one thing, but the decision making here is literally one of the dumbest thing I've ever seen. It gets better later but this part was my personal lowest point for Korra
The way Aubrey Plaza delivers those subtle threats quietly is second to none. "I'm not on the hunt for you. (then quietly she says) Currently."
"Deadpan flirtatious death threats" is almost every "Aubrey Plaza Character" Love language. 😂

Korra willing to go full Kyoshi on that judge and I'm all here for it ❤

I'm not sure that boat was the one he named after her.

Aubrey Plaza was born to voice Eska. Her purposefully flat affect delivery just makes her more terrifying as the "crazy girlfriend."

Varrick really has some of the best one liners! Also, the family pictures in this show always warm my heart!!
Korra’s uncle is like an evil Iroh and her dad is like a good Ozai.

I like how Aang had a horrible inner conflict over killing Fire Hitler, meanwhile Korra casually sticks a judge's head into her polar bear dog.

No, Sokka is a bender, he's a backbender, Master of Rizz Technique 😂
I have alternated so often between loving and hating Varrick that I can't help but just default to loving him. 😅
3:45 😂😂😂 Asami's reaction was priceless
The best thing about Legend of Corra is seeing avatar in the changing world - new politics, new methods, new challenges - this is worth seeing!
3:08 Maple is looking like a really happy little girl.
Varrick never gets old 😅
Villains in this show is in the top of cartoon villains for sure!
Korra is very quick to threaten to kill someone. Which goes to show the differences between every Avatar.

Love Korra but I did find her annoying this season; with that being said, “you take their lives, and I’ll take yours” was so fire
Tanraq's voice though 😍😍😍😍😍
Not sure if they'd be interested, but after korra I'd love to see a reaction to young justice or rick and morty.
