I like the gold chest. It makes the him pop and adds a elegant look to a premium figure.
I just opened up RUclips to ask you if you were getting the gold chest cause mine arrived today so this video was amazing timing. I’m always afraid to try these types of things without seeing it first so thank you for doing these tutorial videos it’s a huge help!

What I really wanted was a toon yellow frame for my acoustic wave
The gold just doesn't look like Blaster. With their toon obsession I am surprised Fanstoys even planned to do a gold chrome chest early on for this figure since the rest of the toy is so super-toon accurate.
Honesty didn’t care for it at first. Dr die cast convinced me to think about it. Now after this i think its grown on me. 😂

Love the way this looks. I preordered the gold chest option as soon as they offered it. I was bummed they changed it in the first place because I thought the gold chrome looked so good and added so much to the figure. I hope they keep using chrome accents on their figures like this and Hoist's thighs and others.
The reason I hate Hoists thighs are because it's inconsistent with the rest of the silver. If it had ALL been chrome, it would've made so much more sense
@@kinjapleb4228 I’m totally fine with the chrome additions being accents. I bet if they used ALL chrome instead of a mix with some silver parts, people would have really roasted FT for that. Their Swerve has some chrome and I’m happy they’re still doing it and I really hope they keep it up.
Really cool that they put this out for those that want it and made it easy to swap too, nice move FT! That being said, I hate it! Great vid though!

Great video, good to see how it works. Hoping Iacon 3D labs do a replacement chest insert for Recorder like they did for Accoustic wave.

@@TMReviews Iacon replied and confirmed they have this as part of their forward pipeline later in the year.
Seeing how it was assembled I’d love to see a grey insert to swap up out the translucent plate for even better toon accuracy .
Happy you put this out. Especially for the how to replace. But to be honest it was in the camp that wasn’t thrilled with the gold chest. And it looked worse then preview pics. Happy Fanstoys heard from the fans and adjusted. Could see if bought two of them. Would have for season two representation then maybe gold chest for season three / movie.

i bought the gold plate but im thinking the original yellow looks more like Blaster then the new gold........but i am thinking of doing a cell shading on it so it will be a mixture of gold n yellow then maybe ill like it more

It's a LOVE it of HATE it kinda thing.
Personally, don't care for it, as imo, it wrecks or breaks up the aesthetic. The Blaster Speakers kinda help, but overall I think it detracts.
Should I get it, as I have a completionist OCD problem at times, I curb as much as possible. Maybe. On the fence. Wouldn't use it though.

It’s rather dumb they decided to sell this thing desperately when they easily could have chucked it in the box as an accessory. Need a way to squeeze out more money I guess.
