I have owned a few swing bikes over the years! I'm a vintage bicycle collector. Just recently picked up a pair of orange swing bikes. So cool I love them.
@@alloutbikes cool to see it co.e back to life. Swing by my RUclips page when u get a chance I have a few shirt videos on there of some of my bikes. I really need to do some video updating! My collection has grown abit ! Lol
I just found this from another video of yours. You and Ike riding that thing is the funniest thing I've seen in a while. I want one now. If you get good at it, it would be great in parades.
I had one of these when I was a kid. It was fun and amazing, I think my dad sold it or something. There is supposed to be a large spring under those main frame lines under your crotch. Nice find Ike!!!!
Everyone subscribe to J's channel, this guy is a genuinely good guy. I live in Raleigh and discovered J while looking for a BMX repair guy - he's 40 miles away but worth the drive. Love the channel Jason, if you ever want someone to help film - Let me know! -Chris
It's a lot easier to ride with the spring on it. That would be the first thing I would find. Those bars a ridicules too. Awesome find. I wish I could find one. Most are going for over $1000.
My brother was at a swap meet this last weekend where he found one for sale. He called me to see if I wanted it. When he went back it was gone. It had the spring on it.😥 Thanks for sharing!
Was there any follow up to this project? I have a swing bike. bought it as a basket case many years ago and I would like to get it to a ridable condition. That said, I have miniscule experience working on bicycles and was hoping to find out more on the steps needed.
Cool bike.
It was nice of the gentleman to give it too you.
You'll be a good caretaker of that piece of history.
you gotta get the fenders rechromed.

I remember wanting one of those soooo bad, I would've been about 12 then. There where ads in the Boy Scouts' magazine.

Glad you enjoyed it!
I never heard of or seen one of those before.
Searched and found pics and vids with the spring, works as a steering dampener. Good idea
Yes. Its different.
Those are sick. My cousin found one in the roadside garbage when we were kids and road that thing all summer.

Not yet. I will be doing one soon hopefully. Keep an eye on the channel.
I rode my friends orange swing bike.. I could ride with the front tire on the curb and the back tire in the street.. it was fun.
Thanks for sharing.👍
It’s missing the springs that give it stability.
Beginner riders left the springs on. After you got use to it a lot of riders took the springs off for more tricks.
I had a yellow one as a kid in the '70's. It came with a big tag saying something like " conforms to all safety regulations".
They were just trying to make the parents happy. I didn't know about the tag. Thanks.👍
Now all ya gotta do is weld half of that bike to the backwards bike and you got something WALL WORTHY !
If he wants to sell that trail 90 for 300 I may be interested!!!
My brother bought it. In the video you can see it in his truck.
@@alloutbikes oh ok thanks
I have an orange swing bike I would like to sale.
