Number 9, Rin Daughters of Mnemosyne was reaaally good. I am not sure why it's not that popular and unknown... If you love Higurashi, Witchblade and so on you sure will love this one aswell.

I can argue that Beserk can be beat out by Claymore, mainly from the fact that Claymore as a comic source material is complete while Beserk still hasn't been finished with long periods of sporadic appearances (some 0f which can be a few years in between) as of the last time i looked (which truthfully has been 5 years or more).

In no. 5 "Elfen Lied" you have to pronounce the word "Lied" like the English word "lead". (EDIT: "Lead" as in "leader", not like the metal!) It's German and means Elves' song. The way you pronounce it now "Leid" (like the english word "light") actually means "suffering". So you switch the meaning from Elves' song, to Elves' suffering, by mispronouncing it^^
there's no point in correcting the pronunciation. they're too lazy or too self-concious to make a voice recording and use a basic freeware text-to-speech program

New Testament was fun, and deeper than I expected. Goblin Slayer.....well, it's a great show. Haven't gone to Elfen Lied yet. Too dark for me most days. The Berserk movie was something that fucked me up, and I speak of it with mad respect. Good list.
The original series did, but they relaunched it with 3 movies covering that story, then 2 seasons of a new series of what happens after. But the movies and new season were done in cg. Not the original art style
Watching Goblin slayer was like a breath of fresh air, after are the stupid ad-hoc magic powers in anime a magic with severe limitations, and a guy with an actual plan was a very entertaining watch.
what i loved about goblin slayer was that it made no compromises, and it completely discarded any hints of all those frustrating tropes that anime almost universally suffers from. no awkward failures of romance, no stuttering MC who can't communicate with the opposite sex, no sick undertones of incest or other degeneracy, no stupidly clumsy "he fell and landed with his hands on her tits" bullshit. it was just straight up goblin slaying.

I liked Freezing, Elfen Lied, and Goblin Slayer. Haven't seen the others yet but I've warned Elfen Lied all the way through a few times and I've seen Freezing and Freezing Vibration at least twice all the way through.
