the last episode should of showed Timmy growing up and shown Cosmo and Wanda leaving him. After that, it should of shown Timmy adapting to life without them. Then it should of cut to Cosmo and Wanda getting assigned to a new kid. Timmy should of eventually met this new kid and noticed that there are green and pink animals following the kid around.

Ilán Moisés Cohen I enjoyed it all the way up until season 10 and when they added Chloe I didn’t like it really it got boring and everything but sparky was way more likable than Chloe I could handle sparkle though but if I had to say the best finale it would either be wishology trilogy, meet the oddparents, or Timmy’s secret wish

I used to think Channel Chasers was the series finale and was actually pleased by it 'cause it was so well done until one day I saw an announcement for even more episodes and just stood there like 'wait I thought this ended already'
Wish they ended it at Channel Chasers or Abracatastrophe to be honest.
I would've preferred Fairy Idol as the finale, or maybe even Wishology if the ending had been written better. Although Channel Chasers was definitely the show's peak, I feel that FOP remained a solid show through Seasons 5 and 6.

The true final episode is the one where Timmy travels with his future self, Cosmo and Wanda through the Television world, to stop Vicky’s rampage and plan to establish a world dictatorship with her as the supreme chairwoman. That episode still remains my favorite, as the screenplay was amazing, the scenes were wonderful, the references were iconic and funny and, most of all, Future Timmy is one of the best Fairly Oddparents character ever conceived. And we can’t forget the ending: a true gut punch, but also very funny. Unforgettable.

I consider Channel Chasers a finale. Just like spongebob movie is that finale. The flash forward in channel chasers with old Timmy is satisfying enough. We don’t need a final episode featuring present day.

Honestly ANY of the Specials would have worked as Finales better than this lack luster episode, did anything even get resolved?
If you want a proper series finale, watch Wishology. There really isn't much worth watching after that special and Butch apparently had planned it to be the series finale before Nick asked him to do another season.
If you didn't like Season 6, watch Fairy Idol. It was the last special before base-splitting character Poof appeared and Butch apparently had planned it to be the series finale before Nick asked him to do another season.
If you didn't like Season 5, watch School's Out: The Musical. The first four seasons are generally agreed to have been the best and Butch apparently had planned it to be the series finale before Nick asked him to do another season.
(Note: I originally said that Channel Chasers was meant as the Season 4 finale. I was getting it mixed up with School's Out.)

@@mccrillisnsiah Actually, according to Butch Hartman, there was some consideration early on about making Channel Chasers the series finale. The plan changed when Nick ordered Season Five.
@@mccrillisnsiah One, Butch Hartman actually created the show and headed its production for the entire run. He's more likely to know what his own intentions for that special were than anyone else, regardless of his questionable business practices or beliefs about autism.
Two, I said it was an EARLY consideration. Season Five of FOP was ordered while Season Four was still in development, so by the time they actually produced Channel Chasers they already knew it wouldn't be the finale.
Three, the production code doesn't necessarily indicate the intended broadcast order. I can name two shows off the top of my head that produced their intended premiere episodes after several other episodes were already completed: TaleSpin and Tiny Toon Adventures. Episodes are often produced in the order that is most convenient for the production team, not chronological or intended broadcast order.
Four, the third Jimmy-Timmy Power Hour was the weakest of the three Power Hours. I'd rather remember Fairy Idol as the finale.

Abracatastrophe is memorable in my opinion, but it wouldn't have been fitting for a series finale. Channel Chasers or Wishology(with a better ending) or Meet the Oddparents would have been better choices.

Butch Hartman has turned into an egotistical maniac, who makes inappropriate comments to fellow co-workers in the animation industry as well as being a complete giant a-hole to his own loyal fans. A show can only be unforgettable if it comes to a end depending on how long it lasts
I don't know, I feel like Chloe's character could've worked. If they made her into a kid who's really smart, but socially awkward. Doesn't have many friends and parents are too busy to see and spend time with her which is why she is given fairies and I would probably have her start as a rival for Timmy l, but after awhile they slowly began to develop very close friendship that would eventually turn into a relationship similar to Jimmy and Cindy

At least Dora the Explorer got an amazing series finale in 2019.
I haven't heard from this show in a really long time and I just found out that the series has ended and after seeing it honestly the series finale should have ended in a high note showing timmy that how should over come life's toughest moments and he accepts that he is growing up and that his fairies would miss him and that they're work is done.

@@thegamemodder2000 Flash Animation can be good if it is done correctly and not lazily, like most cartoons with it are. Hand-drawn Animation will always prevail over Flash Animation, as there are many different styles instead of being limited to just one. It also opens up more opportunities for the characters to be animated and drawn fluidly....

Negative the 3rd crossover with Jimmy Neutron was suppose to end both shows so that Butch could focus more on Danny Phantom (and look how that turned out) and Steve & John could focus on Back At the barnyard (until Planet Sheen happened.)

@Hannah Papernick-Yudin Depends on how it's used. If the show uses flash animation from its beginning and has a very distinct style, then it might work for it.
But if the show had its own style beforehand, and suddenly switches to it...
As an animation student, flash animation is pretty hard to practice, don't you think? Look at the bright side, at least my first Flash animation in loop looks way better than any poorly made Flash cartoons nowadays (except Fosters Home, MLP, Total Drama, etc.)

Fairly odd parents was a very amazing show, and I would’ve loved it if they showed all of the characters going on a huge magic adventure with literally EVERY character and things would be revealed. For example: maybe Vicky was always evil because she was bullied at a young age, or Timmy’s mom and dads names were revealed. I am very upset with this and just wished they could’ve at LEAST had a two part ending.

Icky Vicky I miss them childhood episodes and the show really should not had went on the way it did cause it got ruined I remember they had a crossover with Jimmy Neutron and even had a live action movie with Drake Bell played Timmy the series ran it's course.

So, this was the "Last episode"? I'm surprised that a show that used to be extremely big, and that lasted for almost 20 years had a finale this useless, Adventure Time lasted for 8 years, and had something waaay better
Other than princess bubblegum going lesbian we got nothing. Finn never went back to his mom. Ice king got his body back but lost his lover. Flame princess becomes a rapper and the fire kingdom just goes to hell i guess. Nothing was solved in my opinion.

I agree. It was called wishology I think🤔. You know with the main villain being the darkness and Timmy being the "Chosen One." Yeah no joke that should've been the end in my opinion.

this show needed a trilogy finale episodes with a crossover with the other butch heartmen series or at least DP. like a multiverse wish with a bad guy like the darkness but it’s job is more dangerous but with a funny twist ending. it would have been soo cool!

After they changed the theme song and added chole and changed the show to flash animation , it was already dead.
Not the proper finale we're looking at, they could have made the special episode finale, "Timmy's Last Finale".
The fact that Butch ended with this episode and Benson Is a Beast shows how depressing he ended his work at Nickelodeon.

While I do like a few episodes post-Channel-Chasers (Schools Out being among my favorites), to me the show could have ended at Channel Chasers and I would have been completely content. It had a great plot, references that you were likely to get at least some of as a kid and more as you got older (which actually fit the theme of growing up), the characters all actually acted like themselves, Timmy learned to really appreciate those who love him, and the overall ending was really heartwarming. Just because a show can go on a long time doesn't mean it should. Some stories should be wrapped up nicely in a few short seasons, and having Channel Chasers be the end would have given the show a good 4 seasons and an incredible finale.
EchoFlower Productions I agree. FOP would’ve gone out with a bang and everyone would’ve looked back on the show with fond memories. Instead, it went on for too long and its reputation has been soiled...
I consider Channel Chasers the canonical ending. It makes me feel happiest, and just like with The Spongebob Movie, I feel like it was made to be the true ending.

BeanBag343 I think it’s because kids these days tend to have shorter attention spans, so the loud noises can draw you back in if you lose focus. It seems like a cheap marketing trick above all else.
Probably just people dumb people thinking that children like to yell so let's have the characters yell

@@renbiscotti1514 Yeah, they got 3 Finales written to end this show (Explained by Butch in one of his videos) and 3 movies to end the franchise and Nick decided to give this episode as the official ending!
