Had to deal with this exact situation in ranked. Since scoprion has zero mix ups and relies on range,you can toss a projectile and trade with spear (if it hits,it cancels the pull). If you're playing reiko, you also have one of the best projectiles in game that will almost always beat out spear. You force him to TP (unsafe) and go from there since he's got slow start ups and reiko can have decent pressure. Plus reikos projectiles can hit sareena AND scorpion so it shuts down the annoying bs way before it can happen.

As a scorpion main (he sucks in this game, literally bottom 1). I can say his only REAL viable option now is either stryker or Kung Lao. Good players you will never, NEVER EVER open up, all they have to do is hold block, they can even fucking time you out. Sareena only fits characters that have a mixup, like Smoke.
Did they fix the Shao bug yet? I don’t want to play as I’m a Shujinko main and if I mis time something. Then the Shao player is just stuck and I feel awful.
i dont think that sarenna offers as much to scorpion. Scorpion has 0 mixups and all his moves are basically negative. Personally i like scorpion kameo on him because of the combo extensions and the overhead that he offers.
