Fun facts Cersei says “They said you lost your nose but it’s not as gruesome as all that” is a reference to the books where Tyrion actually lost his nose

Ser Barristan impressed Robert Baratheon so much at the Battle of the Trident that he had his own Maester tend to his wounds once the fighting was over even though Selmy killed quite a few of his Knights. He also pardoned him and asked him to continue to serve as Kingsguard

Breath of fresh air to see somebody who understands from the get-go what kind of character Margaery is! So many get suspicious and try to unearth some secret plot or agenda, but really she is just doing what all heiresses of powerful houses are ideally meant to do -- establishing soft power of the Tyrells

Thank you! I love the new dynamics at play here! I think season 3 might surpass my love for Season 1, I hope you enjoy all our reactions to come and obviously our Immersive Extras we will put out along the way!

I always viewed her as diplomat/politician first, but with some sense of decency, at least on the outside

Firing Barristan Selmy was one of Joffrey and Cersi’s dumber moves. Selmy is probably the most respected knight in the 7 kingdoms. If he had joined up with Stannis, or Renly, or Robb it would have been a big boost to their war effort. I think Tywin remarks about this.

Buenas Noches You think you know how to play the guitar until you hear Paco de Lucia, you think you know how to write until you read GRRM, then we realize that it is that art to which we aspire. This CDHYF is a unique and unrepeatable journey, no matter how attentive and intelligent you are, it will always surprise you.♥❄&🔥´♬

Margery. I do think there is some goodness in her heart, but it is interesting that it mostly coincides with politically savvy moves xD, which I think come first. I always viewed her as diplomat/politician first, but with some sense of decency, at least on the outside. You can clearly see how her and Loras are very well-educated on high society manners, nobility small talk, without revealing their "secret heart", which might as well be "good" (or might not be, who knows, but I think it isn't vicious maniacs hiding underneath polite masks).
Tywin and Tyrion. This conversation is pure cruelty, it is brutal, and Tywin's attitude towards his son is soulcrushing to watch. I wish Tywin actually recognized that Tyrion is the closest child to him in terms of wits, strategy, being politically savvy, the actual perfect heir for Tywin, and also a decent person (at least in the presented world). But it is naive of me, because these obsessions with "establishing a dynasty that last thousands of years" (what he said to Jaime in 1x7), what Lannister means and how a Lannister should be, there are so blinding. Not going to lie, "jugglers and singers require applause" as a rebuttal was kind of conversation-ending savage, but otherwise, really, this is pure cruelty and verbal abuse and diminishing of one's personality (very hard to watch, even now).

In terms of writing these are my two favorite moments in the episode. Watching the political dance that is done and seeing another house kind of do it better than the Lannister's in some ways really gives new life to the material and characters.
I am sure Tywin was fed lies concerning what Tyrion was doing this entire time. Perhaps while he was even still on campaign. His predisposition to hate him makes him not question a thing he is told concerning it.

@@ImmersiveReactions mine too! That's exactly why I commented on them, and this web of grand strategy and war strategy going into more political maneuvers now is my favorite part of s3. I'm really interested on your overall thoughts of s3 when you finish it.

Another fun fact(spoiler free dont worry). This is the only time Cersei and Bronn have a scene together in all their time on game of thrones because IRL the actors went through a bad break up and after this scene it was put in their contract to never be on camera together again. So in the future you’ll notice one leave the scene as the other enters for whatever reason

IMO seasons 3-6 maybe a few moments in 7 is PEAK game of thrones. Season 1 is an info dump, season 2 is fleshing out the setting... season 3 is when stroies really start to overlap and every episode seems to have that BIG moment, when you really really wanna know what happens next

@@ImmersiveReactions Idk, idk anything about YT and how it works and suggests video, your reactions are great and breakdowns are excellent. I think the audience enjoys them a lot, and overall, most of the channel audience watches videos (so engages, right? is this the term? xD), but idk how suggestions work - found your channel by accident. Maybe a bit cleaner visuals, like no black line across the screen (but then there are probably risks with strikes, idk, don't listen to me, I'm not expert on the matter). Don't be discouraged, content is great. I have to be honest, because kind of feel bad for it, I would pledge on patreon if I could, but spread a bit too thin at the moment.
