I forgot to add - Tae killed his father. The girl who was being abused was his sister. Plus the song isn't about a girl but it's more of what happens in the video than the song itself.
Yes! And he is in the video, that tipical teenager that doesn't want to go home, and is on the streets all the time. Later on the video you can see him siting outside the apartment. And after that he goes inside and there are several empty botles of alcohol and his father beating AGAIN his sister and he snapped. In the short film (3rd - Stigma) you can see that it wasn't only the sister that was beaten. V was also beaten, and for the way he hugs her in the floor, he always gets between their father and her when the father drinks and behave violently.
Tomodachi91ve exactlyyy, I'm always a little thrown off when people don't see it right away in this or the short film since there are so my clues and it straight up shows it
Tomodachi91ve I'm new and I've a question.. please someone tell me? I read this everywhere but I don't get it.. is it a character he plays in this era/Album? Or it's his story .. like real story? 👀🙃
Is a character he plays in the story. They started by representing several ways youth can suffer: romantic love gone wrong, abusive parents, runaway teenagers, alcoholism, bad works, mental illness, adiction, etc, etc. V's relationshipwith his father is a really cute one, he LOVES his father very very much.
I hope you guys continue with the series. Next would be Prologue and it's amazing as well. Butterfly is such a beautiful song and I love it. And after Prologue Run, and Young Forever are Also so amazing. It's a beautiful and emotional series. And BTS did amazing. I adore it all and hope you guys do too If you choose to continue
And please guys watch prologue with subs, i suggest the one from the channel Min Suga (is the first one that appears if you search for eng subs anyway ahaha) 💕
In this music video, Jin (the first to appear) is dead, so the clip shows how his friends are facing the loss... The petals represents the 6 friends, which he keeps in his chest (heart)... This video focus on depression, suicidal tendencies and violent behavior, while the third (Run) will focus on a chaotic reaction to the loss... It's imporatant to keep in mind two characters: Jin and V (who kills his father/stepfather)... Jin will be like an angel for them, that's why the pictures on the 7th Wings' short. He knows their misery and their individual struggles.
If you look at BTS's music and videos chronologically, it's really amazing how well they've been able to represent the issues of today's youth. They touch on very difficult subjects and portray, in such thoughtful ways, the struggles and temptations we face growing up. As they themselves are transitioning into adulthood, so is their music. I love how they are going beyond the typical love song or boy/girl problems and discussing issues such as depression, suicide, drugs, friendship, loss, sadness, love, dreams, societal pressure, etc. This video and the trilogy it is part of is very much about these struggles and the wings series are very much about temptations and giving in or overcoming them. Thank you as always for your great reactions!
For every video in the series that is watched it can either add to your original theory or even develop into something else. Also to get a bit more context, it is a part of 'the most beautiful moments in life' album which is interpreted as youth. We have our friends and happy moments but we can be going through other things as well. Like Jimin with the bathtub is depression, Jhope with his pills is referring to medication for narcolepsy (this part you would get if you watched the behind the scenes), Namjoon and his crappy job, Suga at the motel because of a 'lost love', Jungkook being neglected and feeling like no one gives a damn and Taehyung's abusive family life.
I really liked your reaction! Now you need to see Prologue and Run (always until the very end) to complete the story. (The Japanese versions I Need U and Run are not really, really necessary, but they are still nice to watch because they offer the same symbolism/motifs but from another pov, which might help you notice something you missed in the original version. You could just watch both in the same video, if you wanted). The guy who collapsed was Jhope, the one who took the pills. He felt sick because of what he took and fainted (died?). Junkook was the one getting beaten up and also the one that after that was in the car accident (in the short film Begin, Jungkook hears a car crash before he suddenly wakes up). From now on, pay close attention to pictures. They have an important role in showing that things are not as they seem. I won't say anything further bc spoilers haha and also because I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the matter.
The guy that fell down (name is J-Hope) was the same guy that took the drugs...we typically assume that he overdosed on the drugs that is why he fell down on the bridge. Several of the guys in this video attempted suicide - J-hope with drug overdose, Jimin - drowning in the tub , Suga - setting the room on fire with gasoline, and Rap Monster (was speculated to also attempt suicide ) by throwing a lit cigarette on the money at a gas station. I can't wait until you guys finish the rest of the videos and prologue. Please please do a reaction to their solo songs with the lyrics !!!!!
sara p um...actually j-hope didnt overdose, In this video, he has Narcolepsy. so he needs to have some drugs to overcome disease. (I want to explain more about other members hidden storys but I cant explain with my poor english...sorry😭)
손하연 Actually, he didn't. He had Munchausen Syndrome, a mental illness where he thought he had narcolepsy and took pills for it, even though the pills were the cause of the "symptoms."
@@magnum_cx8805 042420. "If you look at the behind the scenes, Hobi actually says that his character has narcolepsy." I'm an RN, and since getting into Kdramas, have learned Hangul and dabble with a little vocab (though speaking, with all the honorifics, is beyond me). In one of the mv's, they showed a close up of the doctor filling out J-Hope's medical record, and I paused to take a good look at it. I think that, like pilots and air traffic controllers, a lot of medical communication is done in English. The diagnosis definitely said "Munchausen " or maybe Munchausen Syndrome. Isn't INY the beginning of the BU storyline? J-Hope might have been remembering his role actions and passing out, not knowing the medical term that the producers were going to end up with. Munchausen "makes sense" in a destructive coping sort of way. Since he didn't have his mother's "care", he tried to fill that wound in his psyche by neurotically seeking medical and social group care. A definition is, "condition in which a person intentionally fakes, simulates, worsens, or self-induces an injury or illness for the main purpose of being treated like a medical patient. " Besides the capsules, there was a scene or two where there was an IV set up next to his bed. I have heard that, even though BTS members give a lot of input at various stages of a music video, or show, like RUN BTS, they are very busy with their extreme schedules and don't know most of the final result until they see it finished.
Man, I love your guys' reactions. I love that you guys are trying to understand(it's hard to get it right, even after like ten watches because it's so vague), and trust me everyone feels like they need that second watch just to get the events lined up.
Yay! The next one is Prologue which is more a film than a music video. Prologue definitely requires subtitles for the best viewing experience but the official uploads don't have CC so you need to select a fan subtitled version. Can't wait till next week for the next installment!! :)
Yay so glad you guys decided to watch the original one!! Also just a reminder for the Prologue video please find one with subtitles cause the original one on BigHit's RUclips doesn't have English subtitles!!!! This is important! Also watch till the end past the credits! Also you guys might want to start learning the guys names cause it gets really confusing if you don't know who's who or what storyline belongs to which member. Just some advice...
Lol I think it's that the boys actually need each other to ground them from their dark thoughts cause you probably didn't notice but in Suga's hotel room at the beginning there's a plaid shirt hanging that jungkook was wearing in the Japanese version Lol u can interpret that however you like
Awesome now you won't be as confused during the prologue video .... please find the one with subtitles and be sure to watch the post credit scene just like marvel stay until the end of the credits
Yaaas thank you so much for this!!!! This is one of the best reaction channels istg. After you do this series you should react to suga's mixtape Agust D especially the song called the last bc it's lyrics are so meaningful. The guy on the bridge was the guy who took the pills- J hope
Thankyou so much for being very genuine and giving us your input at the end of the video instead of just ending the reaction when the MV ends. I really appreaciate it. I hope ypu guys can react to more BTS in the future.
Great reaction as usual! Really glad you decided to watch the 19+ version to the fuller story line. The reason why there are two versions is due to censorship in South Korea - the Korean Communication Commission, the government body which regulates television, radio and internet has VERY strict rules about what can be telecast to youth/minors (as well as the rest of the population). If you ever watch a kdrama, you will notice they always blur out knife blades. Smoking in Music Videos is also a no, no (as the primary audience are minors/youth) - which is why Rap Monster in this MV is seen sucking on a lolly pop and then when he drops it, it becomes a cigarette which burns up the gas station. However, the system is so strict the sometimes what they censor can be very nonsensical and random as many kpop fans will be aware. For example, the music video for Psy's Gangnam Style was banned by one television station because it depicted "property damage", while Seungri's (from Big Bang) solo song/video, Strong Baby was censored because it used the word "crack" (despite it NOT being a reference to drugs) and TVXQ (who once held the Guinness Book of Records record for biggest fandom and most photographed celebrities in the world) were censored for their song Mirotic containing the words "under my skin". Often kpop groups will have to either changes to the lyrics of their songs when they perform on live broadcast or they will need to reshoot music videos to get them aired. So there is no way that the 19+ version of this song would have made it broadcast, which is why BTS did two videos. In regard to the 19+ video, Roman is right that they are different story lines with different members - the guy getting beaten up in the alley way is Jungkook (he was the subject of the 1st WINGS trailer, Begin) and the guy taking the pills and collapsing on the bridge is J-Hope (who was the subject of the 6th WINGS trailer, Mama). It is Taehyung (stage name "V"), who stabs the guy with the bottle (his was the 3rd WINGS video, Stigma). There are various theories - the girl is his sister and the man is her abusive boyfriend/husband or that the girl is his sister and the man is his abusive father. Looking forward to seeing your reaction to the rest of the HYYH series and you piecing the storyline together/adding you own theories. And you are right a lot of the images are connected to the WINGS trailers, as WINGS builds on the HYYH storyline, continuing the story of youth struggle.
Aurora Starlight Wow, thank you for the information about censorship in Korea, I'm a new kpop fan and this was a fascinating read. Also, we know the guy Tae killed is his father from the photo he's looking at in On Stage: Prologue (also because he says as much in the behind the scenes video of INU, hahah.)
Hitori Koumori - thanks for your kind comment :) I am glad you found the information useful / interesting. I've been a kpop fan now for about 7 or 8 years, its always fascinating to see what gets banned/censored and for what reasons (some reasons make sense, others not so much). As mentioned, some groups will change lyrics so they can appear on live broadcasts, but some kpop groups opt not too and forgo performing their songs live on the various Korean music programs. There has been various articles written on the issue over the years which go into more detail - if you are interested, they should be relatively easy to find with a targeted google search! :)
Thanks so much for also reacting to this version. I really appreciate that you listen to the viewers' comments. I know that us ARMYs can sometimes be a bit... 😈. Thanks again.😇
The most beautiful moment in life is youth. This is just highlighting some of the struggles young people face. Bullying, depression, drug addiction, domestic abuse, feeling alone, loss of a loved one: this is the flip side to the most beautiful moment in life.
Thank you for the reaction!! XD It's ok, happy you reacted to this version! Really enjoy your reactions!! Hope you see more of their Youth series with their Prologue (with eng subs) Young Forever and Run
Kpop groups usually make japanese versions of their songs because Japan has the second largest music industry in the world and it's close by, they can get into the industry easily because they're both asian, Plus learning japanese is considerably easier than learning another language as they have a lot of similar aspects and a lot of words are near identical in both languages. When Japan's only three hours and they share a lot of similarities why not?
Actually when they made this series of videos, they were not "big enough". They were actually poor that they can't hire extras so they made the managers to be the extra actors and they used their manager's cars for these. You can see that what they do is for art
Thank you thank you so much! Hopefully you will continue the series by watching the prologue and then run! It's a beautiful but sad story that I hope you'll love ! I love your reactions and again, thank you so much!
It's actually not about a girl. It's about the friendship of theirs and MY theory is that the scenes of them together are flashbacks and something happened that forced them apart (the I Need U aspect) in which they all started to break apart in their own ways. The guy that killed someone I believe it's actually his abusive alcoholic father (if you look back at short film number 3 he looks away when the police drank water and flash to scene with him and his sister. Also in this MV when he was sitting and starting walking you see empty alcohol bottles which forced to go buy alchol for his father?). Also something cool, the lollipop rap monster drops onto the bills, it turns into a cigarette (falls to drug problems? Short film and blood sweat and tears with the drink). I can go on forever but those are a few things.
Its such a wonderful series! That was why we wanted u guys to check it out. The more u watch the more it will make sense. I got the sense that he overdosed and passed out on the bridge bit im sure other fans will have a diff feeling. Most songs are metaphors by the way.
Rap monster / Namjoon said that while they were writing the song they wanted to sing/write 'I need you friend', but they did 'I need you girl' only because it sounds better... So this song wasn't actually writen about a girl... But BTS usually writes songs with open meanings P.s. thank you for reacting again to the original song 💞 P.p.s. yes J-Hope took the pills and collasped on the bridge The one that was beat (Jungkook) was the one in front of the car
They are all related. This version gives a more intense feeling and has your emotions all over the place. These videos represent youth and growing up coming together with the wings album.
Their music is usually on a deeper level. On the surface they might sing about a "girl" but in reality it can be about a close friend or anything of that nature. The one collapsing on the bridge was the one who overdosed on pills in the beginning. He is also the same person on the Wings short film called Mama.
The next one to watch is Prologue. Make sure you guy watch the english subbed version and until the end. Kind of like marvel where they have something a little extra after the ending credits. The girl is the sister, the guy that got stabbed is the father. The guy who beat up the dad is V (Taehyung) If you guys pause it to when Jin was putting the flower petals down, there are six of them (there are seven members). Keep that in mind when you watch the rest of the series. The guy that collapsed on the bridge is J-Hope. He's the one with the pills in the beginning. Apparently, according to him during the making of the music video, his character has narcolepsy. In his short film, Mama, you can see that the diagnosis of the doctor for him is the Munchausen Syndrome, which is acting like you have something even if you don't have it. It says a lot about the stigma of mental illnesses in Korea. The guy that got beat up in Jungkook. He's the first one in short film, Begin. You can hear a car crashing actually in his film. The guy in the bath tub is Jimin. Not sure if it's intentional or not, but the bathtub that he's in this video is similar if not the same in his short film, Lie. Might be a coincidence but it's BTS. A scene from RapMonster's Reflection and V's Stigma were in one of their older mv, Danger.
The contrast of sad/angry and happy/carefree drives me crazy. This is the only music video where I don't really know what to feel. Good thing you noticed the money and cigarette. When Rap Mon's lollipop fell it turned into that in the video, but there's also a symbolism for that too :)
i honestly think the "needing a girl" is just a way to tell different stories of loss, depression and pain and its not actual about a girl, but about that feeling. Oh and the guy on the bridge, wasnt the one who was beat up, but the guy that took those pills and the one in the Mama short movie (J-Hope/Hoseok), the one getting beat up was the kid from the first short movie (Jungkook). Glad you guys reacted to this version and i hope you find time to react to the Prologue (eng sub!) and the Run MV (in that order). Keep up the good work, and I think you should really replace the photo wall with a theory wall haha
Guys! You should react to In a Heartbeat! It's a cgi animated short film that came out today. It tackles gay themes but for a younger audience. It's really powerful and I think everyone at The Tide Pool would think it's pretty rad :)
In your defense, the abridged version was released first I believe...so everyone saw it before the 19+ anyway. Though when BTS was interviewed they did mention that to get the full version/story, you SHOULD see the 19+. Tiny details make all the difference I guess! 💜💜
You guys' take on things is so interesting!! You pretty much nailed it with the girl being a metaphor, though ofc a person can enjoy the song apart from the storyline at face value, too :-) On Stage:Prologue with Eng sub's comes next if you want to continue on, but warning, it's about 12 minutes long including credits, there's a short scene at the very end too. And no worries about watching the wrong mv at first. Most of us did anyway, even if you knew there were two it'd be natural to pick the most viewed one; we ought to add links if we request, really.😊 Also Japanese versions are common , but clean vs."adult" aren't really, just Korea's broadcasting/age-restriction laws are much more conservative, so to portray the story as they wanted for fans they had this version on RUclips and other streaming sites, the 15+ version being the main one, airable for tv. Loved your reaction as always!
Just to add to comments that South Korea has a very high youth suicide rate. I read that BTS does work or supports anti-suicide efforts (organizations). The colour of anti suicide campaigns is yellow, which is a colour that comes up in their new more positive videos such as Serendipity. BTS' work is brilliant.
ARMYs have pretty much said it, but just in case, the next video in the series is Prologue, then Run, and lastly, Young Forever. Oh and short film #3 Stigma is connected to the story in this one where V stabs his abusive, alcoholic father. And the one who collapsed on the bridge is Jhope, the one in the very beginning who took all the pills. He suffers from some type of mental disorder, this is also referenced in his short film #6 Mama.
This is my favorite trilogy of theirs. Next will be Prologue. Watch it with subs and stay until the after-credits. Sorry if Armys are too demanding hehehe. Thanks guys! 💜
There are multiple theories on this number 1 being all of them are dead and Jin (the one with the flower petals) is the only survivor. And he put exactly 6 petals on the ground, setting them on fire. (The other six members). Another one is that Jin is the dead one and they are all grieving over his death, which is why they're depressed. And there's the theory of them all being the same person; God this is complicated stuff. Also the man that V stabbed is his abusive, alcoholic father and the girl is his sister. And Jungkook and J-Hope are different people. Jungkook being the one who was beat up and J-Hope collapsed after drug overdose. That's all I can figure out for now, I have a lot more other ideas but this comment is long enough so I'll leave it at this xD Looking forward for your next video!
nadine saf With all respect, while the WINGS concept book gives a lot of pointers and settles a lot of things about the overall progression of the story, it's far from explaining everything, especially when it comes to the way the individual story lines interact, it'd need to be 3 times as long and text-heavy to do that. Reading the concept book, you still have a way to go before you can say what's going on in BST Japanese version, for example.
V actually killed his father and the girl was his sister. And the guy who got beat up in the alleyway was jungkook who was in the first short film. V was the third one where he was sitting in an alley-looking place
Please don't feel bad for reacting to the other version. It happens since not many people know there are actually 2 versions. And we also apologize for pushing you hard sometimes. It's also our fault to have not provided you with a link. Anyways, thank you for effort and time for the reactions and hope you enjoy BTS and their music too!
It's actually pretty common in most countries to do songs in multiple languages... Kpop songs often have Japanese and Chinese versions, Portuguese songs often have Spanish and English versions, Swedish songs often have English versions, Tamil songs often have Telugu and Malayalam versions.... It's pretty much just English speaking people who aren't aware of this haha
yes its all connected.. but I just probably spoiled it... damn.. but the Japanese blood sweat and tears also the wings albums are connected through the prologues.. and also some more of their music videos.. thank you so much for being awesome and david you are the best!!!
I actually think BTS are the only idol group to release a regular version and then a 19+ version of an mv but I could be wrong. I know for sure that BTS is not the only group to release Korean and Japanese versions of their mv's. It's been a thing for a while to release Korean and Japanese versions of mv's and they actually debut in Japan and have comebacks!
The guy who got beat up was Jungkook, who also got hit by a car at the end. If you notice at the gas station it's Rapmon who has the lollipop that turns into a cigarette. Next is Run and then Prologue. Lol yeah get a detective board to keep everything together. 😂😂😂
You guys did pretty good. I did want to correct a few things though. The girl isn't his girlfriend it is his sister, and the guy he killed is his abusive father. The guy who fell on the bridge was the one who took the pills at the beginning so we can assume that he overdosed. The guy who was getting beaten in the alley was the guy who is about to get hit by the car, although him getting hit is actually never shown only insinuated because it cuts away before he is actually hit. Over all you guys made a really good reaction though. The only reason that we know and caught all of these things is because we have had over a year to watch and re-watch ad infinitum. While many of us have went through every detail we could find to try and figure out what it all means, and there still isn't a 100% consensus on the meaning behind it all. Thank you for taking your time to react to these I really enjoy your reactions. The next one on the list that you should react to is Prologue, but don't worry there is only one version lol. Although I do suggest looking up a version with Eng subs like you did with the Wings short films.
J-hope took the pills and collapsed on the bridge. Jungkook got beat up and was disoriented and walked in front of a car. Jimin drowned in the bath tub. Taehyung is the one who killed his abusive step father who was beating his sister. Suga set his room on fire. Rap Mon is addicted to cigarettes (they cant show smoking so they used a lollipop. if you look closely the lollipop turns into a cigarette when he drops it onto the money) and Jin, is the one with the 6 flowers, the main theory is that he's the only one alive and the "HYYH trilogy" is about the taboo things in society that exist but are never talked about or are ignored (abuse, addiction, depression, suicide) and how we put on a smile around the ones we love.
It wasn't his girlfriend, it was his sister and the guy he murdered is their abusive father. The next you should watch is The Prologue (all the way to the end!) and then Run
So here are the character plots... Basically it has nothing to do with a girl (They used girl because most of the issue faced by youth are caused due to love failure and since they are boys they used girl :P thats what I think anyhow), its about different versions of depression or issues that youth faces.. Even if they have such trouble lives, they can either choose the path of destruction or be happy with their friends.. That is the basic concept but not the entire theory obviously.. This was my interpretation of just this MV only In the path of destruction, the characters are shown in the following way: *_Rapmonster/Namjoon_* --> Fed with the job at the gas station due to mistreatment of the customer in car, gets annoyed because money has been thrown at him, lollipop in his mouth is actually a cigarette, so throws the lit cigarette in gas station *_Jin_* --> Puts the flower petals in the center of a closed room and burns them.. it is said that they release some sort of thing when burnt that kills a person *_Suga/Yoongi_* --> Lie in bed alone missing someone beside him, plays with lighter, pours gas in the room and light the room with him inside on fire and kills himself *_Jhope/hoseok_* --> Takes pills at the starting, collapses in the bridge, but is alive as he opens his eyes at the end (he might have Narcolepsy, and that is why he collapses on the bridge) *_Jimin_* --> The one in bath tub, drowns himself in the tub *_V/Taehyung_* --> Has an abusive father that beats his sister, he has pent up anger and he cannot take it so he goes and kills him in rage without realizing what he is doing *_Jungkook_* --> runs away from home, fed up with himself, bumps into some guys and doesn't care to fight back when they beat him up, walks on the road and willingly stands in front of the car which runs him over The next is prologue and then Run. I hope you react to them and the story line and lyrics are not always correlated... Sorry for long a** comment... I just get excited when its about BTS Wings short films --> Blood sweat tears --> Spring day
next is prologue yayyy !! one thing you should take note of is that the prologue video doesnt have subs including on the video so you'll have to seek out a version w eng subs!
Actually, I think the music video has nothing to do with breaking up, not like the song itself seems to be. They use "Girl" in the lyrics for music purpose. (The girl is his sister.) The series is about youth, maybe some friendship, and the process of growing up, just like the WINGS films. Thank you for doing this! I really like your reactions. And make sure to watch Prologue with English subtitle and wait till the end :)
Imagine what we went through waiting for the other MVs/ Videos to be released just so we can understand that. Seriously, we are investigating everything bts does. We pay very close attention cause they give hints in a very subtle way. It can make you crazy and that's why we're crazy about them.. well one the reasons.. but yeah. Pls. React to prologue, it has a very strong message even if there's not much dialogue. Enjoy!
All of their short stories and most of their mvs have correlation. And you would somehow understand the whole concept if you watch prologue and Young forever
Hi, first of all i love all your reaction cause it shows that you really take in count every single detail so keep it up 💜💜 Then just to let you know some of the stories. In the storyline which we see in the MV’s the boys are paired up like Jungkook-Suga short film #1 & 4 Jimin-J-hope short film #2 & 6 V-RM short film #3 & 5 Jin(alone)😔 short film #7 As you know or may have seen in the MV’s, Jungkook was on a car accident (which made Suga worry). Suga set everything on fire (we see the piano). Jimin try to kill himself by drowning (because he fell in love with J-hope’s girl and she died and jimin was so sad because of it). J-hope overdoses (since the girlfriend died he got really sad and started to remember the past and his mother abandoning him). V jumps from the tall construction site (he’s trying to punish himself because he kill his “father” and told RM about it) RM started using drugs (to forget or try to not feel guilty because he knows about V killing someone that’s why he can’t reach the call from V, because he was high at that time and why he feels like a “liar”). Jin sees the pain in all his friends and feels like he can’t do anything to help them so he feels helpless. 😓😓 that was a lot 🤗. Also the mini films tell a story which is connected to the MV’s storyline but the lyrics music is not from the storyline but something they feel related to in there lives. Jungkook- dedicated the Begin to his hyungs (older brothers) for all the love and support and for raising him. Jimin- in the beginning he always thought that he was not good enough and that he would never be as good as the rest, he told himself that Lie “ i will never be good enough”, but now he doesn’t feel like that anymore that’s why he sais in the song “caught in a lie,,, someone help me”. V- is talking about his brother and sister which grow up without having him there to teach them and help them through out the years of them growing, because he was so busy with the practice and shooting of music videos, that’s why he said in Stigma that if feels like a wound that’s always bleeding because he feels guilty. Suga- his First Love was/is his piano which help him while growing up, while he was struggling with depression and anxiety, so he dedicated the song to it 🎹 . RM- the song is his Reflection of everything around him, of his life and everything that has made him who he is today, he reflects about his insecurities and self loathing and how he can improve in his career, about his friends and teammates that depend of him. J-hope- his song Mama is dedicated to his lovely mother who supported him in every single way to make his career successful Jin- although he feels that he’s not as good as the rest of the members, he give his all to improve and to get better and better everyday, that’s why he feels like he is finally Awake. And I think i have said everything that was on my mind and i hope it proves useful to you,,, keep doing all the amazing reactions for us 💜💜💜
Actually a lot of kpop groups do Japanese versions of their popular songs and some groups release a Chinese version of their song though it's pretty rare, unless you're EXO.
You guys really remembered a lot from the Wings videos! Unfortunately you are probably going to need all that string to figure it out as I am yet to find anyone who is 100% sure how the whole story goes. One of many short versions is that Jin (flower on chest) is dead and the boys self destruct as they are separated or that the six members die or are otherwise gone and Jin is remembering things. If you figure it out make a video! Army would love it!
that was his father that he killed because he couldn't take the abuse that his sister was suffering from the hands of their father. BTS always have a story to tell on their music yet has another story for the whole album itself. BTS is the best!
Watch it in order. Because you will be confused af if you miss one. 😂 pay attention to details and their relationships with each other because thay comnects in the wings short films who is with who.
I forgot to add - Tae killed his father. The girl who was being abused was his sister. Plus the song isn't about a girl but it's more of what happens in the video than the song itself.
and tae said that his dad was his role model-
Thank you so much for the reaction. She is his sister, not his girlfriend. And he murdered his abusive alcoholic father.
Tomodachi91ve exactly! you can see the dad hitting her before V grabs the bottle and goes into the room.
Tomodachi91ve exactlyyy, I'm always a little thrown off when people don't see it right away in this or the short film since there are so my clues and it straight up shows it
Tomodachi91ve
I'm new and I've a question.. please someone tell me?
I read this everywhere but I don't get it.. is it a character he plays in this era/Album? Or it's his story .. like real story? 👀🙃
Is a character he plays in the story. They started by representing several ways youth can suffer: romantic love gone wrong, abusive parents, runaway teenagers, alcoholism, bad works, mental illness, adiction, etc, etc. V's relationshipwith his father is a really cute one, he LOVES his father very very much.
the guy on the bridge (j-hope) is the one who took all the pills at the beginning
Emily Claire And in the Short film, it's Mama, which was also J-hope. The one of the pills in the room
Natalia Seixas Yes! Please do Subtitles is almost always needed when dealing with BTS haha
yes pleeeeeassssse
you forgot the japanese versions of i need you and run
Ooh... I love BTS Butterfly
Jin is dead but... that's because Jin is Psyche. Perhaps :)
Up!
Oh of course! II forgot Young Forever! The ending of the journey! That comes after those three though
손하연 oh ok 👌🏻
손하연 Actually, he didn't. He had Munchausen Syndrome, a mental illness where he thought he had narcolepsy and took pills for it, even though the pills were the cause of the "symptoms."
If you look at the behind the scenes, Hobi actually says that his character has narcolepsy
@@magnum_cx8805 042420. "If you look at the behind the scenes, Hobi actually says that his character has narcolepsy."
I'm an RN, and since getting into Kdramas, have learned Hangul and dabble with a little vocab (though speaking, with all the honorifics, is beyond me).
Besides the capsules, there was a scene or two where there was an IV set up next to his bed.
I have heard that, even though BTS members give a lot of input at various stages of a music video, or show, like RUN BTS, they are very busy with their extreme schedules and don't know most of the final result until they see it finished.
its not just bts, its not rare for kpop idol groups to release japanese versions of songs (or even japan-exclusive songs) from what ive seen
Man, I love your guys' reactions. I love that you guys are trying to understand(it's hard to get it right, even after like ten watches because it's so vague), and trust me everyone feels like they need that second watch just to get the events lined up.
I'll just say... you'll definitely see the connection between the Stigma short film (#3) and the music video for Run ! ;) nice reaction guys!!
Lol I think it's that the boys actually need each other to ground them from their dark thoughts cause you probably didn't notice but in Suga's hotel room at the beginning there's a plaid shirt hanging that jungkook was wearing in the Japanese version
Lol u can interpret that however you like
Awesome now you won't be as confused during the prologue video .... please find the one with subtitles and be sure to watch the post credit scene just like marvel stay until the end of the credits
Yaaas thank you so much for this!!!! This is one of the best reaction channels istg. After you do this series you should react to suga's mixtape Agust D especially the song called the last bc it's lyrics are so meaningful. The guy on the bridge was the guy who took the pills- J hope
"wow.. they do need you.... girl" i CHOKED
I love how the captions turned on for seconds and then just disappeard like "Baaam, you thought!"
the next video in the series is prologue! if you wanna continue the story x
Welcome to the fandom. Where there's a bunch of theories that leads us into loops 🙃
Yay I'm so happy I'm actually early. I love y'all's reactions.
Your idea of making a Beautiful Mind-esque wall for all BTS MVs is brilliant 😂😂😂 We all basically had to do that in one way or another.
"wow, they DO need you.....girl" lmaoo
Thank you for the reaction!! XD It's ok, happy you reacted to this version! Really enjoy your reactions!! Hope you see more of their Youth series with their Prologue (with eng subs) Young Forever and Run
Thank you guys so much for your reactions and analyses. They make me so happy :)
Next is bts prologue English sub pls.
Also watch it until the end bc there's a scene after the credits!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heidi Intia please With subtitule
Heidi Intia yeah, eng sub is a must! look for channel 'min suga'
Your reaction deserve more comments, views & love ❤
Actually, if u watch BTS, the thing in the Video always symbolizes something
Its such a wonderful series! That was why we wanted u guys to check it out. The more u watch the more it will make sense. I got the sense that he overdosed and passed out on the bridge bit im sure other fans will have a diff feeling. Most songs are metaphors by the way.
Rap monster / Namjoon said that while they were writing the song they wanted to sing/write 'I need you friend', but they did 'I need you girl' only because it sounds better... So this song wasn't actually writen about a girl... But BTS usually writes songs with open meanings
P.s. thank you for reacting again to the original song 💞
P.p.s. yes J-Hope took the pills and collasped on the bridge
The one that was beat (Jungkook) was the one in front of the car
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS VERSION LOVE YOU GUYS
The guy who beat up the dad is V (Taehyung)
If you guys pause it to when Jin was putting the flower petals down, there are six of them (there are seven members).
Good to see a honest reaction from all of you. So next one is prologue so watch that first before Run. Thanks 😁
"... Ya he killed him pretty good " haha classic line, love it...
BTS' work is brilliant.
dayum yall are so observant!! love it
Prologue is next 😁 thank you for being analytical about this 😂❤
ARMYs have pretty much said it, but just in case, the next video in the series is Prologue, then Run, and lastly, Young Forever.
That was a good reaction ^^ now im looking forward to seeing the Prologue , Run and then Young Forever in that order lol
That's all I can figure out for now, I have a lot more other ideas but this comment is long enough so I'll leave it at this xD
Looking forward for your next video!
actually they already explained all the history line in the wings concept book, you guys should look up
nadine saf With all respect, while the WINGS concept book gives a lot of pointers and settles a lot of things about the overall progression of the story, it's far from explaining everything, especially when it comes to the way the individual story lines interact, it'd need to be 3 times as long and text-heavy to do that. Reading the concept book, you still have a way to go before you can say what's going on in BST Japanese version, for example.
V actually killed his father and the girl was his sister. And the guy who got beat up in the alleyway was jungkook who was in the first short film. V was the third one where he was sitting in an alley-looking place
"Wow they do need you..girl" I WAS SO SERIOUS AND THEN I LOST IT OH GOSH 😂😂😂😂
You gotta watch prologue with a hot beverage to hand. You need relaxation after all that
Guys! ALL THE BTS MVs ARE CONNECTED !!! I recommend you the Japanese Version MV of this song, is with AMAZING DANCES!
you need to see BTS - PROLOGUE MV with subtitles.. u will love it
Is not about a girl, is about friendship and try to help, this is the start whid Bts storyline and it still continues
It's okay guys. At least you got to this one.
I apologize for not being BTS related but when the KARD "Hola, Hola" link popped up at the end I just REALLY wanted them to click on it
prologue with english sub by the channel min suga is a must after prologue is run and young forever
I think it's good that you reacted to the 1st version since it came first. I mean us older ARMYs watched it in that order too 😂
It is okay to not knowing two versions. It is baby step. I also watched the 15+ at first, not knowing they have 2 versions at that time.
i just love watching the tide pool going on the same journey i did months ago, i get so excited.. is like a beautiful nostalgia..
Please watch the Prologue with subs! It's important :3 And before you ask: Hyung means brother/older brother/older friend :))
This was my interpretation of just this MV only
In the path of destruction, the characters are shown in the following way:
*_Rapmonster/Namjoon_* --> Fed with the job at the gas station due to mistreatment of the customer in car, gets annoyed because money has been thrown at him, lollipop in his mouth is actually a cigarette, so throws the lit cigarette in gas station
*_Jin_* --> Puts the flower petals in the center of a closed room and burns them.. it is said that they release some sort of thing when burnt that kills a person
*_Suga/Yoongi_* --> Lie in bed alone missing someone beside him, plays with lighter, pours gas in the room and light the room with him inside on fire and kills himself
*_Jhope/hoseok_* --> Takes pills at the starting, collapses in the bridge, but is alive as he opens his eyes at the end (he might have Narcolepsy, and that is why he collapses on the bridge)
*_Jimin_* --> The one in bath tub, drowns himself in the tub
*_V/Taehyung_* --> Has an abusive father that beats his sister, he has pent up anger and he cannot take it so he goes and kills him in rage without realizing what he is doing
*_Jungkook_* --> runs away from home, fed up with himself, bumps into some guys and doesn't care to fight back when they beat him up, walks on the road and willingly stands in front of the car which runs him over
The next is prologue and then Run. I hope you react to them and the story line and lyrics are not always correlated... Sorry for long a** comment... I just get excited when its about BTS Wings short films --> Blood sweat tears --> Spring day
next is prologue yayyy !! one thing you should take note of is that the prologue video doesnt have subs including on the video so you'll have to seek out a version w eng subs!
the next video es Prologue. Keep on deciphering this story ... we'll see if you succeed.. luck guys.
And make sure to watch Prologue with English subtitle and wait till the end :)
a lot of kpop groups do korean and japanese im pretty sure a few do Chinese and Mandarin as well
Imagine what we went through waiting for the other MVs/ Videos to be released just so we can understand that. Seriously, we are investigating everything bts does. We pay very close attention cause they give hints in a very subtle way. It can make you crazy and that's why we're crazy about them.. well one the reasons.. but yeah. Pls. React to prologue, it has a very strong message even if there's not much dialogue. Enjoy!
Yes ! You need to react to the wings album with the lyrics of each song ! The lyrics explain everything !
All of their short stories and most of their mvs have correlation. And you would somehow understand the whole concept if you watch prologue and Young forever
J-Hope (the one who fell on the bridge). The one who was being beaten up was Jungkook.
That's why you have to watch these videos in the right order!! lol
Next one will be the Prologue!!
Hi, first of all i love all your reaction cause it shows that you really take in count every single detail so keep it up 💜💜
Then just to let you know some of the stories. In the storyline which we see in the MV’s the boys are paired up like
Jungkook-Suga short film #1 & 4
Jimin-J-hope short film #2 & 6
V-RM short film #3 & 5
Jin(alone)😔 short film #7
As you know or may have seen in the MV’s, Jungkook was on a car accident (which made Suga worry).
V jumps from the tall construction site (he’s trying to punish himself because he kill his “father” and told RM about it)
RM started using drugs (to forget or try to not feel guilty because he knows about V killing someone that’s why he can’t reach the call from V, because he was high at that time and why he feels like a “liar”).
J-hope- his song Mama is dedicated to his lovely mother who supported him in every single way to make his career successful
Jin- although he feels that he’s not as good as the rest of the members, he give his all to improve and to get better and better everyday, that’s why he feels like he is finally Awake.
And I think i have said everything that was on my mind and i hope it proves useful to you,,, keep doing all the amazing reactions for us 💜💜💜
Actually a lot of kpop groups do Japanese versions of their popular songs and some groups release a Chinese version of their song though it's pretty rare, unless you're EXO.
omg i clicked the x button at the advertisment at 2:18 and then realized it was on their screen HAHA
there is a Connection from this mv to wings and the shortfilm
Hi! Can you please just react to their BTS Danger Dance Practice?? :) So you can see the incredible dancers they are, love from France
Next is Prologue, Run and Young Forever.
did anyone else try and click our of the ad, to realise it was their ad hahahaha
Army would love it!
you guys should react to GOT7's Departure trailer then Fly music video.
that was his father that he killed because he couldn't take the abuse that his sister was suffering from the hands of their father. BTS always have a story to tell on their music yet has another story for the whole album itself. BTS is the best!
Watch it in order. Because you will be confused af if you miss one. 😂 pay attention to details and their relationships with each other because thay comnects in the wings short films who is with who.
Please react to Prologue, after Run and Young Forever!!
