What a genuinely perfect GTO..this car is immaculate..nicest one I've ever seen Lou! Outstanding restoration..he's proud of his ride..Thanks Lou and Terry!
My friends Mother bought a brand new 67 GTO with an Automatic trans. Grey metallic with black vinyl top. I remember riding in it a few times. I remember her oldest son driving it past us kids as we played in the ally and I took notice of that beautiful factory exhaust. Pontiac exhaust at that time were well known for a loud throaty sound off the showroom floor, even the big Bonnevilles and Catalinas.
My Quadriplegic Brother in law (Paul) Who’s passed on. purchased a piece of crap 1967 Blue GTO and he himself fully restored engine and body, interior to show room new over 6 years other then the paint which my other brother in law owns a body shop painted. Paul did all the work himself throwing his body in different positions so he could reach certain areas. Needless to say it had handicap controls and he we all were in Awe at the work he had done. He had a very nice heated garage and heated radiant floor to work on it in. With TV Fridge, Enough room for 3 cars but this was the only one in the garage during the process here in New England. Love this model year.
I had the exact same car except it was a 4 speed, no hood tach and no tape deck. ordered it new from the factory and picked it up in April of 67 on a Friday and left for boot camp at Ft. Jackson on Sunday. Brings back a ton of memories as I am now 75 years old !!!
My 1967 GTO had the antenna on the left front fender. I bought it in 1971 when I got home from Vietnam. I had more close calls with death driving that car than I did in the war zone!

@@loucostabile Hi Lou, great video! In my town of Fresno, CA, I think that we have more Vipers than an area our size should have. About 6 or 8 of them would show up at local car shows, just to show off. They would all be parked in a line right in the middle of things. A local guy was the first one on the block to get a Viper roadster when they came out. A bunch of people were at an area race track showing off their cars. People were needling him to step on it, and with a few too many drinks, he took them up on it. Well, he ended up loosing control and slid into a wall. The car was a pile of rubble, but it went to a local body shop where a friend of mine worked. The estimated, and I remind you, estimated, was $30K. The insurance said OK. Well, it ended up taking more than double that amount and the car could have been replaced for about the repair cost. Nobody was happy. Everybody got paid. He ended up selling the car to a guy in Texas, who drove it all the way back there. He took his money and put it into a new Viper coupe, which had just come out. He had an in with the Dodge boys so he was able to jump the line. Oh! Tell your wife that the reason there is no mirror on the passenger sunvisor is because if she was using one to put make-up on, if you floored it, like make-up might get on her face alright, but probably where she intended to put it!
I was 17 when I bought mine in 74 with 59,000 on the clock. I paid 800.00 bucks for it. By the time the car had 76,000 it was done. I raced it to death. I destroyed the front end bushings by rocking it to pull wheelies in the Los Alamitos mall parking lot (Orange County, CA). One of my favorite all-time cars. I was just a young, dumb, stupid kid. So surprised I did not kill myself in it.

Hello Lou I have a question are you familiar with a Car Guy by the name of Steve Mag? Magnante
See this video. ruclips.net/video/kUeHqSl_J2o/видео.html
Lou as best as you know did he re-plate those chrome bumpers ? Im curious how much that cost nowadays, alone trying to find a place to do it.
David, I'm not sure if Terry re-plated them, but seeing this car is "over the top" I'm guessing they are re-chromed. Not sure how much it costs, and hoping a Viewer can share knowledge, Lou
This guy has to be in his early seventies but looks like he’s in his mid fifties, how does he look so young
.....it's the cars that keep him young :-)
What's the story on the Dodge Viper?
Here is the story on that car. ruclips.net/video/_cVNSu5xv6Y/видео.html
