Cheers mate, thanks for sharing your fantastic trips in Morocco. I would like to inform you that the kid didn't ask for food or money, but he asked if you had some candies. Bonbons in French. Thanks for your kindness towards people and animals. You are a great family. Enjoy your stay in 🇲🇦 Morocco.

Glad you liked Camping Tissirt and also glad Ali and his family are still going strong. We stayed there in June 22 and were the only tourists he’d seen in a while due to the borders only just re-opening after Covid restrictions. We paid 260 dirhams but did get all our clothes washing done and folded plus a full evening meal with his family and children, plus a breakfast Enjoy the Sahara 🐪

How much better than this can it get. Those canyons were spectacular, Hard to imagine living there. A 4 year drought is realy tough. I lived at a town in north west NSW Australia called Moree. It was the edge of the desert in central Australia. The people seem so kind. Looking foward to next week. I would suggest taking extra water, I love dates. I make date sandwiches, 15 or so dates on 2 slices of bread. Easy meal. See you all next week

Over the last couple of centuries there have been more & more women going solo right round the world & the only major problem seems to be getting ripped off for vehicle repairs (just like at home). Since 1980-ish paperwork at borders has been getting silly though, so plan your route & alternatives & go visit all the embassies in London or whichever is your capital & get detailed checklists of the hoops you need to get through.
And carry a wind-up radio that will get BBC's World Service & check every day you're not heading for a war zone.

I lived in the Middle East for a number of years, the dates where I lived were usually eaten before we thought that they were as ripe as we expected them to be having eaten them as a Christmas item in the UK. Some of the local dates were served when they were quite hard and almost yellow. There are many different types of dates, from my experience.

Most of people in these surroundings are affected by the last earthquake, they lost everything they had and Moroccans did the best job ever to help them. It s not a good idea I think filming them and make video cover with that kid face, especially those berber people wouldnt accept such thing. there is poverty wherever you go even in UK and USA. You can notice that Moroccan are sometimes not open to film them, it s because of such tourists use their photos on social media.

The area we were in wasn't effected by the earthquake, so no damage here!
And since arriving in Morocco we haven't found people are against filming. We have even been invited into a berber family home (that's to come on a future video) where they were more than happy for us to film!
Not sure where this 'no filming in Morocco stance comes from'. Its certainly not our experience!

@@Touringwiththekids Not all Moroccans are not open to filming but sometimes you can notice or comes across some who do not like themseves to be filmed especially in cities. Moroccans are known by their hospitality that you may not experience somewhere else.
