I have a Les Paul I keep in Standard C all the time so its intonated correctly. When I play Vol4 or MOR songs, I don't bother tuning up to C#. Works for me
I love the way your channel has evolved man. This video runs really smooth through the track and you keep great riff bookmark organization. Dig it. It does in fact doom
Hey Steve! Awesome video as always. I'm going for this kind of tone but I'm not sure which pickups to go with in my Epi G400. I was thinking Humbucker sized P90s. What do you recommend?
Do you use thicker strings when in lower tunings? In modern metal, so many do to retain string tension and intonation. I generally don't, just play with less attack...but wonder if it really buys a lot to go thicker when tuning lower.
Saw them at MSG on the End Tour, was awesome. But IMO songs recorded sound better in C# or E standard for the first 2 albums.. it loses something even tuning down another half step
That's so badass. I want to thank you 🦇Steve 💀 for giving me inspiration on a daily basis. And FYI your in my Top 5 favorite 🎸 players🤘😈🤘. You have earned it.
Why not just teach this in C# Standard? Gonna be easier for yer average player to tune to that than C Standard. 99% of players don't have heavy enough gauge strings to even tune to D standard let alone C.
This is actually more of a pedal demo than a lesson. You can tell that it's not really a lesson because it's barely 6mins long. The phrases you used are also super convulted and mean nothing to the average player. "Then we're gonns modulate to the minor third of the root note." Doh k. Thanks for nothing. This was a completely waste of time
at the BOK show in Tulsa Oklahoma, had they just turned up the volume it would have been so much more enjoyable. but thats what this post 9/11 generation calls " a great show" no bombs, no fire, just SABBATH looking like they were opening for sombody else. and the price for this disappointment $75 . back in 1990 my first concert was KISS, Slaughter, and Faster pussycat, for $22.50. had the time of my life. now its $75 for seats in the back, up in the rafters. and no where near loud enough, like in clubs that still use analog, but there is enough PA to make it fucking rock! "if you aint moving the air, you aint moving the people."
That middle riff is just so vicious. One of Iommi's mightiest riffs on Master of Reality.
Agreed!
That goldburst Warlord looks fantastic. Another great lesson. Thanks coach.
Thanks Andy! ⚔️⚔️
That guitar is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Glad you dig it man! A beauty for sure.
Just gonna join and the people in the comments admiring the guitar 🔥
Great lesson!

Dang this guitar is fine. I love how you’re able to recreate these tones and explain in detail what to do to achieve the sound we all love 🙌🏻
Thanks dude! Glad the videos are helpful!

Thanks dude! Have worked to keep the lessons to the point while still including detail where necessary. Glad you’re enjoying things.
Absolutely crushing! Just like always brother!
Thanks, Dave!
Amazing lesson!
Thanks Dave!
@@DoesItDoom you welcome. We need your pedals here in Germany Steve. Would be great if you find a distributor 👍
My favorite color is green, and I love that amp!
Cool tones too, man. 🤘🏻
Thanks dude!
Good stuff, man 🤘 The guitar looks great, love the Sabbath tunes 🤘
Thanks for watching bro. 🤘🏻
The fact that you posted this right when my Walpurgis arrived….!!!!
Nice! Riff it!!!
Just today I randomly decided to use that tour's t-shirt, great timing
Nailed it!
Awesome brother , been wanting you to do this song for a while. One of my favorites , thanks! 👍🤘
Great! Hope it was worth the wait.
@@DoesItDoom Absolutely!🤘
I’ll definitely give it a go playing this song by Black Sabbath
Awesome 🤘
🙏🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Tony Iommi is our friend. and Geez, Oz and Bill too :)
🤘🏻⚔️⚔️
And my Walpurgis DID pedal got delivered today time to doom extra
Nice timing! Enjoy!
most of my guitars are in C standard, so when they put out the End Tour live songs, I could actually play along to them !
Nice!
Groovy song !!!
So good!
Holy fuck, dare I say that sounds better than the original!
Heresy! But thank you.
Awesome as always Steve! Could you please consider It's Alright
Digging deep in the catalogue there!
@@DoesItDoom Indeed! Unique though as it highlights Tony's chord choices rather than riffing to support Bill's voice, not Ozzy's
Hey Steve! Awesome video as always. I'm going for this kind of tone but I'm not sure which pickups to go with in my Epi G400. I was thinking Humbucker sized P90s. What do you recommend?
For a more modern sabbath tone like this I would go humbuckers. For a more classic 70’s style tone the p90’s would be best.
Ohhhh Yeahhhhhh🤘

Generally, yes. Download my tuning guide here: doesitdoom.com/tuningguide
@@DoesItDoom Thanks! I appreciate it.
On the record its a d standard tuning not c#

god riff 🖤🤘🏼
What about the standard tuning ones like, war pigs or iron man what tuning do they use for the end tour ?
Typically Eb-Standard. Everything was tuned down 1/2 step.
Thanks, I like to play the live solos from the end tour rather than the album versions
Doom overload! 🤘
Sick guitar? Are those humbucker pickups?
Yeah. Woodrite Barbarian Humbuckers.
What pedal are you using?
Damn..... I didn't think anyone else had ever HEARD of this song! One of my Top 5 Sabbath favorites!
🤘👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹🤘hej hell bro w 💯 zajebiście Black Sabbath love tak jak i ty i co za riff gitary perfect giga super
Thanks, brother!
👍👍👍👍
Could be wrong but it sounded like Sabbath were in B when they played in Perth (Australia) 10 years ago.
