Drink 1 cup warm water with lemon sliced up a whole lemon and drink it before breakfast and before bed time. Haven't been sick in 2 years so far🤗

update on my cold cuz why not! Ok when i made that comment i had been sick for like 3 days already. 3 days ago my fever went away/I got better then yesterday I ended up getting a fever again and yeah,., now i have a sinus infection and my ear is infected 🥲 fun times! (at least I can take antibiotics though)

I got sick for the first time in 2 1/2 years, I had been anticipating when it would happen since covid restrictions have strongly been lifted… and now here we are and I caught a common cold. It’s not that I forgot how annoying it is but I am definitely reminded of its setbacks. I’m on day 5 of being sick and I’m soooo ready to be able to do anything again 😓
I recently got one over memorial day weekend !!! It’s gone but just a little bit annoying of the coughs since my 10 day sickness is done it’s really annoying!!!

I'm on day 4, feel exactly the same as day 1... Hurts like hell. Especially the feeling like needles poking through my brain every couple seconds. 💀
It makes sense that during the cold, you get sick more often because of all the enclosed, warm spaces (also, germs breed in warmer temperatures). I hadn't gotten sick in over a year, even during the chilly season, but now I think it has hit me 😤
Viruses actually prefer cold temperatures and spread more rapidly which is the reason why winter months are the flu season.

My grandpa's always sneezed in a cloth hankie. Grandma's nails were short and clean with her hair up away from face. No shoes inside the house. There were things called slippers. We washed our hands when entering the house and before meals. There were many family members living in much smaller spaces in their time and so hygiene was important.
I had the flu once when I was 10 yrs old, survived it, I remember I was home almost 2 weeks, NEVER had the flu since, I'm now 30 - In the past 20 yrs I've only had 2 minor colds but never a fever. My doctor told me that my body built some good immunity that protected me all these years.
Then ur body will also fight the corona virus easily.
I had the Hong Kong Flu in 1968 when I was 13. I can honestly say that is the one and only time I’ve had FLU. Attention time, I couldn’t have cared less if I lived or died! Off school a full 3 weeks and weak for a longtime after. Flu is definitely NOT like a common cold!

I caught full blown influenza about 3 years ago and it was the worst experience of my life, at first it hit me like a “normal” flu headache, sore throat, runny nose, cough after about a week I thought I was getting better but then it came back with a vengeance. I had high temperature, severe muscle fatigue, cold chills, difficulty breathing and pretty much every other symptom that comes along with being sick it got to the point where the only way I could breathe normally was if I went in the shower and made it very steamy I think the moisture helped clear my lungs but it only lasted temporarily. It took me all up 3 weeks to start getting better. Since then I’ve had the occasional short bouts of runny nose and cough and even caught covid but nothing came close to what I experienced a few years ago.
Perhaps a virus is not contagious?

@@johnwhiley4090 can’t say no for certain as I’m not a doctor but I know for a fact I picked up the virus from hospital as I was visiting my grandfather who was dying from cancer very often and I’ve heard that if you ever catch something from a hospital environment it’s often much worse because hospitals are extremely sterile and anything that can survive in them is going to hit you harder.

I actually prefer getting the flu to a cold, usually knocks me out for a few days, but a cold makes hard to sleep. That pesky alternate runny or blocked up nose affects my sleep

I decided I didn't want to get anymore colds several years ago.I stopped touching my eyes, nose, ears and mouth unless my hands have been washed thoroughly. It worked, It wasn't easy though.

I got the flu and it's pretty bad but at the same times it's making me appreciate the smaller things in life more.. Eg taste smell being able to move without pain and and feeling comfortable,, when I recover I will be more grateful haha,, probably the worst flu I ever had!!

I have a cold right now. Usually what happens when I catch a cold is I have a sore throat for a day, then I wake up and my sore throats gone, but now I have a runny and stuffed up nose and then I develop a fever.
I’ve had flu symptoms the last week or so, ate tons of pineapples and herbal soups, never been better now

I just had possibly the most intense flu I've ever had but it only lasted for 2 days
About a year ago I had a very bad flu. If I ate something I would just vomit it out in a minute. I had the worst stomach and headache with a fever. There were cramps in my body everywhere. It only lasted about 2 days though. I can't image 2 weeks like that. I guess my immune system is strong and fought it quickly. 💪💪

Then its not flu. Flu generally lasts from 7 to 10days. The minimum is 7 days. So it might be other virus.

I had the flu around 2 years ago, it ain’t no joke. It shuts your body down. I had it during the first day of my college spring semester and l couldn’t even go that day. I hardly couldn’t even stand up when l was about to take a shower that morning and l told my mom l couldn’t make it. I went to the hospital that same day.
This flu is so violent, i have has covid but the flu is so much worse. It hits you crazy quick out of no where, i felt fantastic yesterday but this morning nauseous, fever, dizzy and a chesty cough. my boss was so confused when i called in sick because i was very lively yesterday!
I've got flu now and I totally agree. COVID was easy to deal with by comparison. With this flu (I'm on day 4 now) I felt sick, freezing cold, my muscles hurt so much even laying down was painful and my eyes, nose and mouth are so sore! I couldn't of typed this reply yesterday as I literally couldn't even hold my phone up. It's no joke! I hope we never experience this again.

The longest streak of not getting sick was from May 2017-February 2022.
Now since February 2022 till now April 2023 I never caught a cold/flu. But the past couple days I’ve been dealing with runny/stuffy nose, post nasal drip, head pressure from blowing my nose too much and I’ve been sneezing like crazy. Ugh. I will be more careful. My little brother got sick n passed it to me :(

I'm currently sick with a cold. But I cant stay home from work. I work in a kitchen and it's highly frowned upon to miss work. The managers literally dont care. They just joke about it. Its ridiculous. But that's how it is in most kitchens in the US. Always be wary of restaurants.

I have the flu now & the worst symptoms for me have been a high fever that doesn't respond to fever reducers & an extremely painful constant headache for days on end. I'm starting to despair that it will never go away. This is the worst headache I have ever had. OTC medications DO NOT HELP.
My bro in law just came home from work one day with a cold and got the whole household sick with some kinda phlegm cold. My symptoms were a lot post nasal drip or a bit of chest congestion not really sure, headache and tiredness. I think cold viruses are mutating at a higher rate than we anticipated since I usually don't ever get sick as I'm a very healthy individual who weight trains and drink lots and lots of water, my eating can improve a bit but yeah that's just my two sense on that matter.

I had the H1N1 flu when I was 2 years old and had to be hospitalised for like a week (I had asthma and it made it even worse) and I believe I had to be on Oxygen and have a nebuliser. My whole family got it too, but thankfully I was the only one that had to be in the hospital. Literally one of my first memories is being in the car on the way to the hospital and coughing so much I literally couldn’t breath and was choking. My parents said it was horrible, no wonder it was my first memory!

I had h1n1; man , it almost ended me . In a matter of a few hours , I got a fever of 39.8 C° and my body felt like it was being attacked everywhere ; my gut and stomach were affected the most though since I had esophagitis; I ended up throwing my own bile . I got hospitalised and after 8 days , I was released !
