Right now it's $149.99 at Costco, at least until Christmas, maybe New Years, I think. I have an ION that's similarly priced, and this sounds better, far tighter bass and somewhat warmer, richer sound. Volume is comparable. Both can be paired with similar models for stereo. At $150, it's a good deal. I, too, find the only 8-hour battery a disappointment compared to the ION being able to be used the whole weekend on a camping trip, so there is that to consider. But if you find yourself near an outlet more often than not, at this price, it's almost a no-brainer if sound is what matters most.
Just bought one at Costco for $99.00 on bow out close out. This speaker sucks, the bluetooth is very sketchy...doesn't stay connected to anything very long.
Parents got me this, feel kinda bad since your review makes this at mid but for a personal speaker to bring around or use in my car I'm happy with it

Also thanks for the w-king d 9-1 discount code. It's nowhere near the bass, but it's about as loud as my Sony XG500 at 1/10 the price & half weight
The d9-1 can handle more bass via 3rd party EQ. It's a solid speaker and that price was a great deal. Glad you scored one. 😉
This is Klipsch's first large Bluetooth speaker... They are still knew to Bluetooth speakers... They will get better. I'm sure they'll become better than JBL Bluetooth speakers soon... House of Marley is already pretty good. Klipsch is better than most. And I'd rather support a quality brand like Klipsch so they can upgrade their products every year.
This Klipsch Gig XXL was actually an already existing speaker that Klipsch simply put copper knobs on and rebranded it as Klipsch. This wasn't their speaker design. 😆
It's still on sale at Costco. I bought one last week at the $150.00 sale price.
I don't think they are moving many units.
@JaysStraightUpReviews You may be correct. At $150.00, it will do. I wouldn't pay $350.00. That's what it's selling for on Klipsch own website. If I was thinking of paying the $350.00, I would spend a little more money and buy the JBL

What is the chinese version of this? Everyone keeps saying its rebeanded but i cant find a lookalike.
This is one, the PEAQ PPS200. Gig XXL is same speaker, but Klipsch did change two of the knobs to copper color to set it apart. 😆 There was another of this speaker I saw somewhere, maybe on aliexpress.com. @@JaysStraightUpReviews thanks for sharing that!!! I am likely gonna return the gig. Even my wife came home and I had it on in the garage and she said it doesn't sound as good as my homebuilt speakers. Which cost me 22 dollars each and contain 2 6.5". So similar size and setup.
A PAIR of home speakers amplified separately running on AC is a no-brainer to sound better. You're paying for the battery and portability. Apples to oranges my friend.

I have two of these. Will these speakers give true stereo, RH and LH ? I think the manual says to hold the power buttons down at the same time for stereo, but will it give true Rh and L H sounds?

The Sony is probably the best of the these, but it does suffer from being noticeably less loud when running off the battery. It's not very loud off battery. I think I would prefer the Hisense over the Klipsch overall.

Maybe, sort of kinda...lol. I did a video of the Gig XXL against the Onn Large Party Speaker Gen 2, which sells for $149. For me personally, the Onn sounds better overall and particularly at lower volume levels. And the lights are nicer on the Onn. Plus it has a retractable handle and wheels, which the Gig XXL lacks. And the Onn can be pole mounted, while the Gig XXL cannot be pole mounted.

@@JaysStraightUpReviews Interesting, you swayed me, just wanted to triple check I could turn off the lights on the Onn speaker as well. I plan on using it for parties and projected movies but mostly music, my projector is dinky and just do it as a side thing for fun.

Do you think this would be good for an outdoor movie?
Never tried that before. I would shoot for getting two of whatever you run and TWS them for an outdoor stereo experience. I know my portable projector supports Bluetooth and has adjustments for keeping the audio synced with the video if there is latency.
Between this Gig XXL ($150 from Costco) and JBL Xtreme 3 - which one would you recommend? (use case: backyard/garage)
Two very different types of speakers. Kind of depends on if you want a bigger party speaker or a portable one.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. A lot of these companies try and copy the blueprint JBL has laid out. Many have tried and all have failed.
Will you challenge the ONN large against this?
My Onn Larege speaker developed popping issues in the tweeters and I had to return it. I may do this vs the Onn Medium, however.

It does come with a cheap wired mic. It works, but not high quality.

I have one and i also have mix feelings too
I mean it's not a bad speaker really, just not a good speaker. I don't like how you have to turn it up quite a bit for it to start sounding decent. Most of it's volume range is from 70% to 100%.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews yeah, i paid $150.00 for mine and i was a bit disappointed. Imagine paying $350.00 i would return it the same day. Like you said is not bad but i do have some complaints. Main dislike for me battery life.
How's this one compare to the W-King T-11?
Good question. I've received so few views on my latest Gig XXL video vs the Partybox 110 that it's really not worth the time to make a vid against the T11.😧
@@JaysStraightUpReviews I would think that it's because they aren't comparable in the end. I know I haven't watched it for that reason. I can already assume that this GIG isn't all that even close to the JBL. That's why I ask how it compares to the T-11. Don't necessarily need a video if you think the interest isn't there for the comparison. But I'd take your word for it if you'd give a listen and result in the comment. Or even just as simply say which you think you'd prefer over the other.

@@samochoa6733 I had issues with my Onn Large speaker making popping noises occasionally. I ended up returning it. I bought another one about 6 months later, thinking maybe u was an issue that would be fixed. Second one did the same popping noise. So after that I just can't say I have faith in the reliability of the Onn speakers.

@@RuddyVivanco I never had two of them to run TWS. You asked if you can pair two and how? I answered both of your questions, but now you state you already tried that. 🤪 If you already have one paired to your device, double tap the Bluetooth button on the other speaker.
