    Chevy hit it right on the head in the late 60's with the camaro.
    I wasn't around then, but I can imagine with all of the muscle cars of the era how it must have been to be a teenager into cars in the late 60's and having an organism every time you walk through the front door lol

    Beautiful looking Camaro. My favourite years for the Camaro are 1967 and 1968.

    thats how I shift. I let the shifter "click" into Nuetral and then "click" into the next gear. that way, you dont need to rebuild the trans every 2 weeks

  • @ekpd181
    @ekpd181 8 лет назад +3

    Factory did not use Hurst till 1969, Car would have had the upgraded Muncie shifter with the word Muncie on the stick handle. This was used on the performance cars. Non performance stick cars had a plane chrome Muncie stick.

    I had a 1967 Camero SS, it had a 350 CI engine with hidden headlights. I wish I had not allowed a friend talk me into selling it to him, he was afraid of it, and traded it to his brother-in-law, and the brother-in-law totaled it.

    I like this. Personally, I would go for a smaller aftermarket steering wheel and a slightly different set of rallye wheels. Otherwise, sweet. Drivetrain and exhaust are like music to my ears.

      Very true. In fact, in 1967, the ONLY Chevrolet vehicle to have the new 350 was the Camaro SS.

    Finally, a true SS/RS car for sale. Not some fake ass clone tribute recreation shit

    • @67L48
      @67L48 3 года назад

      You only can tell if it's a "true" SS/RS if you see the trim tag and it needs to be an unmolested trim tag. This was not shown in the video.

    • @JF72
      @JF72 3 года назад

      @@67L48 so.....youre saying no trim seen equals no trim tag exists?

    • @67L48
      @67L48 3 года назад

      @@JF72 Where did I say that? I meant exactly what I said. You can only tell the true nature of a cars trim by looking at an unmolested trim tag on the firewall. It wasn’t shown. So, we can’t tell. It might be a real SS/RS. It might not be.
      Only 602 Camaros came out of the factory with those Z/28 hood stripes. This car wasn’t one of them, so we know at least one thing we’re seeing isn’t original or “true.”

      @@JF72 If he’s specifically interested in Camaros, send him over to the Camaro Research Group at Camaros.org. I hope he enjoys learning about these classic muscle cars. They are indeed rare and finding a real one is less common than when I was young!

    Beautiful color, engine and interior shots would have been nice. What is something in that condition worth?

    I had a similar 1967 RS. Gear whine for the M-21 is normal, M-22 “Rock Crusher” is much louder, hence the name. Trunk lid on this car does not fair correctly. Why? Also, disc brakes were sorely needed on these cars as the stock drums were junk.

    I'd forgotten about that one-time 295hp rating on the 327 '67 Camaro. They hadn't offered the 350 yet (until late '67 with the '68 models). It's most likely a 327 under the hood.

      I have to differ ( I think ) I have a 327 but a friend of mine had a 67ss with a 350.

      Actually the 350 was the STD engine with and SS 67 Camaro, and 325 or 375hp 396's were optional on the SS package models.

      Nope, the others will whine like this too, the M22 is louder. I had a Trans Am with the Warner T-10 and it had a nice whine to it, not too loud, just perfect.
