Ace Combat 7 - PSM bug?

If you start a PSM flying sideways, and while in "PSM mode" you level the plane and pull back on the stick, you'll stay in the PSM for a lot longer than you would when you pull back on the stick directly.
Also, if you hold the speed at around 700 to 800 km/h (around 450 mph or 380 knots), you'll stay in the PSM for even longer.
Luckily it's not very useful.

Might have to do with what parts you've fitted?
Don't hold me to that though, I'm just throwing out suggestions given I can never do that in my SU-37
That said there is a video somewhere of someone doing the same exact thing in a SU-30SM

No, it isn't the parts. I just tried it out in a stock Su-30SM (the one that has canards and TVC) and it did it.
It seems that the only requirement to do this is that the aircraft can do the Kulbit PSM.
And while it is kinda fun to do ultimately it isn't really useful. It might keep you from being hit, but it'll be hard to actually fire at anything. It isn't hard at all to do though, you just roll 90 degrees, begin the PSM and roll 90 degrees the other way. Are you on PS4?

Still a sloppy game mechanic, yes it’s not dfm but Ace combat can do better than this !
