I’m coming from GSXR600 17’ to a SV1000s 2005. I don’t like the sounds so much. The bike itself is easier to ride in the streets because it has good torque gsxr made 125HP/50 torque vs 120/75 torque . I get more mid range in this bike than old bike but GSXR has way better top end.
Yes, if the beginner has good judgement. Can a beginner drive a hot corvette? The SV and the Vette are both mild mannered but powerful and fast. If a beginner runs it fast they will likely kill themselves. A much smaller, lighter, motorcycle is a better choice for almost anyone. I like my Sv1000. But I think I liked my SV650 even more. I think the SV650 is the best street bike ever made for the real world.
Sv 650 is cool but the 1000 is more suitable for 105 kg or so guys like myself with long legs. I feel very comfortable on both but the sv 1000 is what I keep in my garage at the moment. For a completely new rider 125cc or 500cc should be a good start. Both sv650 sv 1000 makes you feel very confident too early and that is very dangerous.
That first rip of the throttle caught me off guard and made me smile big. :)

Sv1000 / s sooo tolles motorrad, so selten anzutreffen. Will ich seit meiner Kindheit mal fahren. Mal schauen wann ich sie mir kaufe
A bit of video editing required at the start and the wind noise drowns out the engine. Nice bike though.
Je veux mon permis.

Can this be riden by a beginer?
yes, but not recommended! A beginner needs a 300cc or a 650cc to start with.

It's little brother the SV650 would be a better bet and it's still a right blast.
@@MikeDMays This was my first bike. I did some dumb stuff but learned quickly not to fuck around. The bike is fast.
