    My Grandmother wrote to me that many southern people moved to MT after the war due to the difficult times. She said many churches and organizations in MT are based on southern principles. I don’t think she meant racism though.

    The civil War could have been completely Avoided in 1850. There were 3 groups, and each group could have
    receive benefits that would have avoid out the civil war. Any 12-year-old boy could have told you. Where the
    economy, was heading in 1850 by 1900, and it did head that way. No need for slaves by 1900, that the English
    government started in the first place.
