Your work is so beautiful. I honestly don't know how you don't have at least a million subscribers. Such talent.

Renee Conner I watch your videos, with my mouth open, looking slightly challenged and possibly drooling. I can frost a cake decently but I don't have the talent, vision, patients or hands capable of holding any pastry bag without pain. I just love watching you. My 8 year old daughter loves watching you. You did a "simple" berry cake not too long ago and she thought it was the most beautiful cake ever. And it really was. I believe it was a Valentines day cake? It was lovely.

I am about to make a geometric inspired cake so this video is super helpful! I do not want to cover the full cake in fondant, but I will make the gold strips from fondant - any suggestions for getting it to stick to buttercream icing?

Hi, I'm sorry, I'm just seeing this question! If you haven't already made the cake- sticking the fondant depends on what kind of buttercream you are using. It will readily stick to a non-crusting, meringue buttercream (like SMBC). If you are using a crusting buttercream (like American Style Buttercream) you'll just use a little water on the the back of the fondant strips to help it stick. Just be sure to keep your fondant strips fairly thin, so you don't have too much weight pulling at the buttercream. Should work with no problem though!

Hi where do you get the fondant sharpener from? For the fondant edges? The plastic tool you used? Love this cake btw !!!

Thank you! I ordered the fondant tool from Amazon... I think it was called a fondant edger.
