for similar statue restoration / repaints, is it better to strip off the existing paint? will it affect anything if the old paint is left on the statue?

Hmmm... Stripping off the old paint is ideal if you want a smooth and uniform surface, or if the old layer (or layers) of paint is too thick that it has covered important details of the statue.
But it's not always necessary. With one outdoor statue that I re-painted, for instance, I thought the old paint gave added protection from the weather.

Can the acrylic paint as top paint for the statue be good for outdoors sir?

Hi, yes. In my experience, house paints can hold their color outdoors longer if you apply acrylic emulsion as topcoat. Hope this helps.

Can I use nitros mors to take the paint of a concrete garden statue? Or maybe a heat gun? Thanks

I've been asked to repaint a churches concrete Mary immaculate. It's somewhat dirty and mossy some mildew. I was going to wash it off with some water and scrub pads. Then repaint it with acrylic. What clear coat should I use? Matte polycrylic? And is somewhat large. Maybe 4ft high . How much should I charge? I usually stick to canvas but I'll paint anything!

Hi! Congrats on the project. About the protective coating, I suggest going to your local paint center / hardware store and asking them which product is best given the climate conditions of your country. Acrylic emulsion works best where I live. As for the cost, if you work fast, you might want to set a going rate / talent fee so you can charge per day on top of your materials. Hope this helps!

All the paint used is latex?

Primer is latex paint. The rest, acrylic.
