Greetings fellow appreciators. Without you, the world would be a lonely place. This concerto is something else. Fun, funky, weird, haunting. Just started listening to it a few days ago. Now I cant stop
To me this work sounds like a fascinating, brilliant, and exhilarating continuation of Bartok’s 1st and 2nd concertos. What a treat to be able to read along! Thank you!
I mean that it must be extremely hard to play this concerto unless you can rehearse with the orchestra already weeks before the execution. (Sorry for my English..)
@hardtofindscores he doesn't know anything. Thats why. Anyfool knows da average person doesn't recognize even average composition. What he t hinks when he rarely even does will not be attended to by anyone but himself and if he's lucky maybe a family member. Those who know put Ligeti at top.
