Charity finds are amazing. I found a vintage 1980s Popple once at a charity shop and it was like all my Christmases came at once!
I recently found a 1970's 6 million dollar man (man doll). In fact I will do some videos on the amazing things I have found that are not Thomas toys. Also thanks again for the artwork of Fluffy cat and Bluebell. My daughter loved that and so did I.

The covered bridge was used for the great race set. It came with Thomas and Bertie where you could race them. They were attached with like a red hot wheels track.

What an awesome update! If only those Percy lights had moving wheels (I think the old ones did?). Those covered bridges are a tad odd, the connections points must require specialised pieces. I also think there was a wagon and load that came with that Smelter's set, though I could be very wrong about that... I wonder how Thomas lost is face and wheels...Also couldn't do that intro with the new D10 :P

Can't say I'd be running home for CGI episodes (Besides the fact they now tend to air at 8:30am here in the UK!) but I certainly remember running home from school to catch the final couple of minutes of episodes from series 6 back in 2002/2003 if memory serves me right.
Amusingly, it wasn't much for the model work, but having grown up in the 90s Thomas had also been a 'Only on VHS' experience for me up till that point, so for me it was more of a novelty actually seeing episodes broadcast as part of a TV schedule!

Something to note is that Wooden Railway stopped dating the wheels for all of their models in 2003. This means that all models between 2003 and 2013 have wheels reading 2003, so you can't really trust the dates on the wheels if they read 2003. Some are genuine, but most read 2003 regardless of their year. It's a confusing situation but a helpful fact for placing dates. Anyhow, great video, as always it was great seeing your latest Thomas haul and some pieces of merchandise I've never seen before!

It is amazing how many features the modern Ride-on Thomas is missing. The one I got for my boys has a sealed funnel with no action feature, and also no jockey wheel. I really wish ours had that ball-pop feature!
I'm now looking for the bubble blowing style of this toy. I did recently find a Chuggington Brewster ride on and IT WAS AMAZING Vs what Thomas is serving up as a ride on toy.

Hi again Leo. If you were wondering I had that smelters set like I had the Percy takes the plunge one. The smelters also came with Duck, a wagon, magnetic cargo and a piece of track.

my favorite thing from your haul is your paper face ertl aswell because it reminds me of the classic days of thomas. it's rather sad to see that arc productions will stop making episodes after the next season because the company that makes Thomas is going out of business sadly :'(

Great video Leo, I love seeing second hand collectables like these! Did you find the two damaged Thomases? Is that the connection? My favourite item of that lot would be the anniversary Take Along Thomas, because I have most of the others! You are right btw, it is a eggcup that came with an Easter Egg, I have it boxed. Fairly common in the UK.
Leo, have you heard about the rebrand of take N Play?
In 2017, Mattel/Fisher Price is REMOVING the magnets from take n play and is now calling take n play "Adventures of Thomas" The track is becoming blue, and the toy is just getting cheaper in general.
Take Along / Take N Play has been around for years now. Maybe Mattel saw via the MINIS they could pull off a cheap build Take N Play. I really think the toy companies are in a huge battle up against the free apps and passion for small surprise toys.
I like the take along smelting yard building set. I don't have too many of those in my take along or take n play collection.

The sodor covered bridge came with Thomas and Bertie, and some hot wheels style track. The idea was, you would race them down the track, and yes, there were some gates.
Awesome video! I think my favourite Thomas toy in that video would have to be the ERTL Thomas, because the toy in general shows how well things were made back then before Mattel came in and changed everything. To be completely honest, I actually would watch the CGI Thomas series after a long day at school, because as the years have gone by, the stores have gotten better and better, and, believe me, the CGI series could've turned out whole lot worse. I can't wait for your next video :)
The sodor sheltered bridge for take along was for a race set. Although the race set pieces were mostly red flexy track like hot wheels which easily broke as they were brittle.
It's not worth getting used to the current Take N Play Thomas- next year they're replacing the TnP range with "Adventures of Thomas". They're replacing the magnets with plastic connectors, and the tenders are going to turn plastic as well. I guarantee that you'll go apeshit when you see it.

the take along covered bridge was from a set that came with Thomas, Percy, and some special track that had the same tabs as the hot wheels track, in fact you can use the hot wheel track, and the engines would race down the track

I didn't have the covered bridge but it had red slope tracks that went to ground level where there was a level crossing gate that connected to normal track. It came with Thomas and Bertie.

I love take along and i wish i had a diesel 10 and troublesome trucks because diesel 10 is my most favorite and I've been dreaming of a take along diesel 10 so much that I sometimes wanna ask my family for one but since it's 2018 there not being sold anymore (i got all of my take alongs from some of my family members)
Bendy The Animator it's ironic that you specifically want those two models because when I was little in around 2009 the Easter Bunny brought me the early Take-n-Play versions of Diesel 10 and Troublesome Truck and since they were there very early Take-n-Play they look like Take Along

I have the covered bridge and the smelting yard from when I was a kid. in the covered bridge and There is supposed to be a big red door and it connected top hot wheels like track. In fact, I think you could use Hot wheels track to connect to the bridge. I have a lot of wooden railway but way more take along and some really old sets. I used to think, man if only i didn't mess these take along trains up they would be so much nicer. But now I realize that it's way better to have them loved and played with.

You're complaining about Take'N'Play now, trust me the new isn't like the old which I love. They plan to bring over the Asia Take'N'Play style, Thomas collectable railway, they are more plastic and have plastic hook and loop kind of couplings.

I have it in The garage somewhere it's a race the way there's some special track to where you would attach it like the hot wheels they have a connector we can connect it onto tables and you would put that and they would set up the trains and there's a little flat so you can at least perfume at the same time and they raced down then they will go into there and then down again

Also, the Take Along 2007 set was a Thomas vs. Bertie race set with hot wheel style track I have it, yet only have the covered bridge piece because I lot the other stuff the the small pieces mixed into and got lost over time.

I would like to thank you very much for the package. I personally would race home from school to see the CGI series. as a die-hard Thomas fan for longer than I've been alive. i loved the model series. and when they went to CGI. i was upset but understood. but seasons 12 through 16 were STUPENDOUSLY BAD! but going into season 20, there are some very classic Thomas-like ideas that are scheduled for episodes! unfortunately there is no TV broadcast of the show I can see. but I'm excited to see what Arc Animation has in store for season 20!
The backbone to any good TV show is good writing. Bust my buffers Thomas has had some terrible writers for far too many years. Maybe thats why we have seen a trend going back to the core characters and timelines. We also need the toys to be set on sodor..not weird fantasy destinations that seem more like a King Kong film or crazy rollercoaster of death.
+leokimvideo I agree. being a short film enthusiasts, I closely studied your short file workshop playlist. and I use many of the techniques you speak of. but... you may have the best footage ever! but a weak script ruins everything. my brother has just gone off to college and I am going to use the wooden railway we have collected since 1998 to film stories and send to him. I wrote a 6 page script for episode 1 and I just need a microphone to start the production. I can't wait for him to see what I have for him!
