So what watch did you guys like better? Any other categories you think should have been compared? Bias aside, I do think the Timex beat this particular Casio, interested in knowing a comparable Casio to go up against this Timex, for around 60 Canadian dollars. Any suggestions? Let me know! Thanks for watching and commenting, and be sure to subscribe if you haven't yet already, next giveaway soon, at 750 subs :) Happy new year and God bless!
Awesome comparison mate, for me the Casio is all I would need and more but can't argue the Timex is slightly better equipped. Who knew that Timex took down the king.
Ha! Well this particular Timex against this particular Casio I suppose Wes. The Casio you put me onto for 31 bucks is stellar, actually the only Casio I have which I really love. I have the duro marlin too and it’s fantastic as well, but any other Casio I’ve seen or handled has been a disappointment
Thanks for this! I was looking for an inexpensive watch to add some orange into the mix and was considering that Casio. I might just grab a black Timex Expedition Scout and put it on an orange NATO.
What size is your wrist. You can pull the Casio off with a 7 inch wrist as long as you like large watches. Thanks for watching and commenting! Please subscribe if you haven’t already, happy new year and God bless!
HOW DARE YOU!! 😂😂 Great video Chris. I enjoy my Casio Chronograph but I'm very fond of Timex watches as well. The IrornMan is an Iconic watch that seems to live up to its name for sure. I consider myself a Casio collector but Timex definitely had some nice digital pieces. I have an Expedition T49950GP.. Large negative display. Clear and easy to read, Vibrating alarm. three time zones and of course Indiglo. It's a keeper! As far as Casio affordable beaters. I just picked up the AE-1500WH-1AV for around 35 CAD 👍👍
Happy new year Chris. For the lulz, it would be cool to show some pics of the Casio on a 16mm strap if you have one. I suspect that would look hilarious on this huge watch. I am not a fan of the Casio lineup of almost G-Shocks. Imho with Casio, the best value is in the F91 or the more modern variations or in G-Shocks if you are looking for digi or anadigi watches. They also have some nice and more reasonably sized analogue watches. I also agree that the Timex looks quite bland, especially in comparison with the Casio. I like the older more square versions of the Ironman. If i had to pick between these two, I'd definitely go for the Timex. A closer match to the Ironman from the Casio catalogue would be something like the W800H or W213 series I guess (also cheaper, at least in Europe). That being said, if I am looking for a very tough digital watch, I'd still go for a solar DW5600 (or GW-B or whatever it is) on a combi bracelet.
I don't want to take anything away from Timex. They have been around for years and have a reputation for being a reliable cheap watch. BUT Casio has a boatload of watches that are similar when it comes to these type watches. I agree, you need to do an apples to apples. Checkout Topcat129. He does videos in Walmarts looking for these watches. I like him because he is just non-pretentious and doesn't claim to be a watch expert. I like NY accent, too. LOL
Thanks Mark I will definitely check that out, I certainly don’t pretend to be an expert either, And I do believe I have mentioned, if not in this video, my automatic bias toward Timex for sentimental reasons, there really hasn’t been a time in my life wearing watches where I didn’t have a Timex, and the expedition lineup are great watches! Thanks m8!
Ha! You can do a video on 5 reasons why and it will go viral :) thanks for watching m8 and please consider subscribing if you haven’t yet, happy new year and God bless
Well I have to agree with you on the end result the Timex does seem to offer just that bit more for comfort & functionality but I gotta admit that I would still buy the Casio over the Timex! Mainly for the aesthetic it just looks way cooler. Those nato adapters can be found on Amazon they're for a G shock but the lug with should be the same but its always wise to check with the supplier first to make sure they'll fit as there are various options. This was a cool video mate 👍
Thanks Adrian, and this a Timex you can’t hear from across the pond you glorious basterd you, ha. If the Casio was comfortable I would have gladly kept if, but equally as glad to give it to a young buck as his first watch :)
Ironman will always be better than a Casio for all the reasons you mention. They are comfortable, functional, attractive and affordable. I’ve got GShocks. To be honest, I always seem to veer back to Timex for the reasons given above.
I could not agree more I am drawn to Timex for sentimental reasons but I have got a bunch of Casios and none of them with the exception of one has more appeal or value to me than a good Timex. Thanks for your comment for watching, and please subscribe! I have another Casio dissapointment video coming soon
@@LV-42617 awesome my experience has been the same. I don’t own that many but I’ve far and away preferrrd my Timex watches to Casios, I’m a die hard Timex man

You can't never compare quartz chronometer analog watch no matter if you describe it as a beater watch to multifunctional digital watch. You need to compare apples to apples, that's my two cents here.
No offense but comparing a full digital watch against an analog chrono, is like comparing apples vs oranges, I don't see the point. However, the Casio looks clearly better, while the Timex is clearly superior in functionality (as always when digital and analogs are compared). Personally I would not buy the Casio despite its nice look but after all it's an analog time estimater and not a precise time teller. The Timex Ironman is a classic, although I prefer the (digital) Expedition series myself. One more thing: at least zero the time on both watches next time you do a comparison video. Thanks for your effort though, I apreciated the video nonetheless 😃.
Thanks LV, I believe this was my first ever comparison, I totally understand the apples to oranges critique, I guilty on that in a subsequent video as well haha. Thanks for watching and commenting and please subscribe if you haven’t yet if you wish.
Kinda disagree with the legibility. Casio has a knack for making such a noisy dial that it's almost impossible to read the time at a glace; the primary purpose of the watch. This one is certainly better than the GShock line, with the more subdued subdials, however, it's still too noisy. Your bain shouldn't have to filter out that noise. The Ironman is clear and easy to read without any effort.
You make a point Fred, I was trying to keep the comparison between the two as stand alone somewhat, and was scoring the Casio against other three hand analogs I have seen. It’s quite easily legible, and so that’s why I gave them a tie, hard to knock a watch that just isn’t the same in that regard, but yes the Timex is more legible for sure
Yes, Timex. Just got tired of the bulky G Shock with small characters because the module was too busy with useless features. Casio makes a great watch and I feel like the quality is excellent, but I like the Ironman because "less is more". I'm not knocking anyone that is drawn to Casio, I can certainly understand why. But my eyes are old and the Ironman caters to that need.
I love Timex but Casio is bloody fantastic can’t beat them for the money, but I would still choose Timex for sentimental reasons, and well, I love me a Timex! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t, God bless m8!

You can regularly find the G Shock DW5600E-1V for 40 to 60 bucks. But that's almost unfair to the Iron Man 😆
