Nursery practitioner here! I just wanted to comment and say that it's so normal to be upset at first drop off and in all my time in this career babies do settle in and end up having a wonderful time. At the nurseries I've worked in, it is totally ok to ring as many times as you need to, but normally in the first 10-15 minutes babies become distracted and interested in the activities and what their friends are playing with. If there is ever a time a baby is too distressed and can't calm down we always ring the parents just to update and let the parents decide what they are most comfortable with. I am sure Ziggy will have a fab time with his new friends and I hope he has a wonderful journey at nursery ❤
My first thought as soon as the vlog started was "oh my goodness how lucky Ziggy is to grow up right next door to such beautiful horses 🥰❤️" It might be such a magical fairytale memory for him when he's older

As for the 1st bday, don't worry about going all out. Make it a family event, get a smash cake for Ziggy. Get him toys that help his dexterity, make noise, and are brightly colored. Take lots of pics!

For my baby sisters first birthday we got her a small ball pit, I don’t know if you have one already or have considered it but they are pretty good, it’s fairly low maintenance but may get quite all over the place! My sister would happily sit in there for ages and could have her tummy time and get crawling all over while being preoccupied by some toys she couldn’t eat!
So glad everything is coming together for you guys!

Evening ladies love the vlog. Sometimes it's good to get away for a couple of hours and go on a date & be the couple you were, before becoming parents. It always seems to recharge the batteries so to speak & that is always a good thing. Also moving out into the country seems to have benefited you both greatly. You both seem a lot more chilled/relaxed. It seems to have done your mental well-being (Both of you I mean ) the world of good. I Hope Ziggy is enjoying nursery so far, leaving him for the first time must have been daunting, but Rose was right he is gonna love it & be ok. Hope the decorating in the bedroom &en suite is going ok, hopefully, we can have an update when you're ready of course. Looking forwards to the next one (either vlog or gaming channel) much love as always. xxx

In regards to presents- my mum has a family day care and usually the toddlers/ one year olds like:
prams and wheeling them around.
Or those little cars I think they’re called little tikes? 🤷♀️
they also like spilling contents out of boxes of shapes/blocks or something and putting them back in the box😂🤷♀️
They love babies or baby animals they can hold and role play with! I once witnessed a 1 year old put her baby in the bath- then she took off her clothes and bathed with the baby toy in a small toy bath tub.. 😂
Little toy cars are a biggie- basically things with wheels is exciting 😂
They like keyboards or toy computers that make sounds that they can giggle at and bop to!
And a rainbow stacking tower!
Idk why but these have been simple favs amongst the little babies and toddlers 🤷♀️

Ur neighbours are horses! God I’m so beyond happy for ur little family, I love seeing ur lives and I love feeling hopeful for my own future. Seeing two adult women in a beautiful relationship with a child who live in such a beautiful home makes me feel so proud to be queer. I used to think about my future and feel like I would never be able to have a fulfilling future that is true to who I am. Now, seeing u guys, I just don’t feel like that at all anymore!
You should get WOW Toys - I had a farm set as a kid with a farmhouse & animals and a tractor with a trailer & hay bails - I’ve given them away now I’m in my 20s (lowkey broke my heart) and they’re still in great nick. I think my younger brother had a racing car set and an explorer who had an aeroplane with a tiger (?) I imagine nowadays they’ll be even more choice (rip Rose) but I’ve recommended the WOW toys farmyard set to every family I’ve babysat.
