spoiler >.> (if your just watching this now..) 6:27 that poor guard.. hes the only survivor of abigail the bloodthirsty. :( now NO ONE can bad mouth abi, she just saved the team and single-handedly took out a base of 8 heavily arms guards and a captain. solid snake would be proud :)
Nice, these last two parts have really improved my opinion of Neal, this was handled so well and it highlighted Abigael's role and gave her the spotlight, which I feel she really needed.
OptLtges as i'm 3 months late to this. i'll "guess" you were proved wrong. abigail is a thief. the shadows and the night makes everyone her bitches :P lol.
I think healing would be more appropriate being percentage based, dosen't seem right that a person who is more 'tough' takes longer to heal, where as a frail mage heals fast
Invisibility Sphere Illusion Level:3 Area: 10-ft.-radius emanation around the creature or object touched The center of the effect is mobile with the recipient. Those affected by this spell can see each other and themselves as if unaffected by the spell. Any affected creature moving out of the area becomes visible, but creatures moving into the area after the spell is cast do not become invisible.
Bregor is the most epic ranger ever. Has no clue about his surroundings, kills wild bears then wears them as a cloak, hates mushrooms, can't use doors, does not dualwield, regularly stabs himself or breaks a weapon, has the highest charisma, yet his dialogues are the... simplest. Just love it :D. btw: no means of healing in an entire guard camp? wtf?!
Not to mention that the last people to go down there didn't come back, so there's bound to be some other threat within which means healing up is a good idea!
There are multiple reasons i can come up whit that make that a good idea. 1. they needed to heal themselves otherwise it could be very much possible that they would die in the upcoming dungeon 2.the way i understood it was that they only sent 1 person to get the escort so that 1 person was the last witness that could identify them (killing him would severely minimize their ability to track them down) 3.Killing the escort would give them even more time to get out of the danger zone...
We should just wait for these people to show up in at the very least 4 days.. Instead of just going to the catacombs and finishing that up in like 2 days.
I do think I missed an episode or something, but from what I recall they killed the people guarding the site, then moved on to the camp. Maybe they didn't check up on last watch in the time between the assault and their escape?
I like the part when Vincent didn't want to spend 2 weeks to get the approval to enter the tomb, but they're instantly willing to spend months healing :D
I guess her rescuing the entire party from certain death and stopping Geoff making a huge blunder by trying to sell the obviously branded tomb guards armor isn't being a "team player"? Remember they are role playing characters and her character is a thief. In character she has no obligation to share non-essential items (like gold) with the party, but she will aid them with potions etc under dire circumstance.
I feel bad for the camp guard... running from room to room to find all his comrades dead in their beds. Also makes me remember the wail of Neil episodes back. "You were supposed to be heroes!" I'm sorry buddy, you're running a Villains game.
OMG, so Abigael single handily killed 10 guards and saved the whole party and she still acted like nothing happened..I would be back flipping from building to building in joy.
As a lawful dragon silver dragon... It's pretty suspect that she'd just take the murdering of an entire outfit of guards that easily. Unless she's planning to murder the whole party after the quest is done to pay for their sins...
The elf lady is definitely not a silver dragon. Calling it now. Unless in Neal's world silver dragons can be of any alignment in which case all bets are off.
if it was a silver dragon then they would be pretty fucked... It propably wont even give them the ring then and its a pretty big dragon shes 700years old...
I understand that but there should be a "Rest until healed option." and the DM should just tell them if something major happens and not ask them what they do in the mean time because that is easy to exploit for example Bregor learned to blink morse code which is kinda ridiculous.
I wouldn't say villain's game. I would say, they're just a group of people who want to do good things, like help people, but to achieve that goal, they do bad things because it's the only thing they can think of. Although I can't say the same for Abi and Banon. They like to kill too much. Abi for gold, and Banon for the sake of doing it.
The healing should be hard. That way you don't go and try to massacre a entire outpost of guards that have nothing to do with your mission. And then when the dm says it will be at least 8 days for reinforcements to arrive they're like nah we should wait for them....
Oh but I do listen. It only takes few moments, maybe up to hour or two (if there are significant complications) to fetch the ring. In which time reinforcements wouldn't have had time to get there, and they had all the information they needed to _know_ that.
I hope that's what happens. That would be so great, even if the party (in all probability) just rolls face on it with a bunch of nat 20s. On another note, I don't like how tense this week they seem to be. Maybe that's just me.
what you mentioned here i have yet to see.. so i can't comment.. but all i know is that she opted to charge the party's healer, who has healed her more times than i care to think about, a large money for a health potion, in addition to proposing disturbingly steep loan rates when he wants to get some legit armor.. both actions disgust me..
What happened to these guys' original job of guarding the crypts? Maybe they might have used less guys for it since they lost people but they would have at least kept a couple guys on duty over there especially considering how duty bound and honorable they were. They wouldn't have just given up on their duty just because they got attacked by the party. If they thought the party was THAT dangerous where they didn't dare send any people to the crypt then why did they only leave 1 guy on watch.
Not that I condone anything the party has done... ever. But theoretically, if it did come to that, they would... you know... have a freaking dragon on their side.
You have no idea what that word means. Selling out is making content you don't like but that appeals to the masses. JP has to make shorter videos this week because the show this week happened to be shorter for whatever reason. It's as simple as that.
Rogues are just not all that good at strait up fights, and untill now they have eighter be fighting giant mobs of monsters like the horde of goblins or mages that just attacked them without warning. This is the first time where they rely used the rogue, as a rogue. She has been a bit on the useless side in fights, due to rogues having bad hit modifiers and low damage....
Firstly, learn what troll means. Secondly, what, you think it would be a good idea to go down into a crypt with presumably only one entrance and exit just so that when it comes time to leave, they've got to fight 400 soldiers waiting for them or simply be arrested? Hurrrr, so clever.
Gen is clearly not on par with any of the rest of them, and relies on chat all the time to remember things... Replace her! I don't care if she's a 7 / 10, we need better rollplay!
As opposed to the guys who rarely look at chat for that purpose, but would forget their own names if they weren't reminded of them all the time? Seriously, they forget all kinds of things, including some important plot points. Several times it was Gen that remembered important things while they just brushed her off and were condescending.
... sigh... well...... the gif *was* pretty funny.
But good going, Gen! For again remembering a useful detail that slipped the guys' minds.

Figured they were going to decide to clear out Appleton next.
abi realy came into her own in this episode. im proud of her.
have not watched this yet, just starting... but i call bullshit
OptLtges as i'm 3 months late to this. i'll "guess" you were proved wrong.

So nice to see gen do awesome and thief things for once :D. Especially since its waaaaay more fun for her than getting one-shot by an alligators tail
I do think I missed an episode or something, but from what I recall they killed the people guarding the site, then moved on to the camp. Maybe they didn't check up on last watch in the time between the assault and their escape?
I think they forgot that the city was 11 days away...
If the guards are sleeping they are not a threat and therefore generates no exp when you slit their throats in their sleep.
Intro music reminds me of the feeling watching game of thrones. EXCITED
I like the part when Vincent didn't want to spend 2 weeks to get the approval to enter the tomb, but they're instantly willing to spend months healing :D
For all eternity the guard encampment of the King's Catacombs will be known as the Killing Fields of Appleton county.
6:00 kinda reminds me of old XCOM when you're looking for aliens on a mission :D
It's the insane troll logic that makes them so goddamned entertaining.
LOL! That double face palm that Geoff and JP did, at Gen! Hahahahaha!
At this point, Abigail is no longer a thief; she's an assassin.
Neal said that the guards haven't had a problem in like hundred years at least so I imagine they don't need healing.
And the dragon kills the guards, but they kill the party. GG
The Elf Lady could be a Silver Dragon if when she's a dragon again she kills the party for murdering all these innocent people
Nightbanet I guess... at least assuming there are spells to change one's alignment as well as form. Knowking D&D there probably are.
Ehhhh. possibly but changing the alignment of a Dragon might be a tad challenging.
Of course. Then again casting any unwelcome spells on a dragon would be a challenge. Unless the dragon was Bregor.
if it was a silver dragon then they would be pretty fucked... It propably wont even give them the ring then and its a pretty big dragon shes 700years old...
"Probably from the main entrance." xD I nearly died.
I understand that but there should be a "Rest until healed option." and the DM should just tell them if something major happens and not ask them what they do in the mean time because that is easy to exploit for example Bregor learned to blink morse code which is kinda ridiculous.

BTW, what is that intro music? It's EPIC!
...what if they ran into the escort that was supposed to take them in, when they reached the next town, i mean it IS a 5 day journey trough the woods.
I can totally picture the guard yell like Obi-Wan in ep3 to Anakin.
A full 3.5 minutes shorter than a usual Rollplay episodes.
Quick everyone! Grab the pitchforks!
Wow, part 6 is uploaded but he's made it private. So close, yet so far away...
The healing should be hard. That way you don't go and try to massacre a entire outpost of guards that have nothing to do with your mission. And then when the dm says it will be at least 8 days for reinforcements to arrive they're like nah we should wait for them....
Did this not show in the subbox for anyone else?
"Hey again, it's me Banon, I'm still invisible." Punch someone for gitts and shiggles to be visible again! XP (I've done that once before).
Oh but I do listen. It only takes few moments, maybe up to hour or two (if there are significant complications) to fetch the ring. In which time reinforcements wouldn't have had time to get there, and they had all the information they needed to _know_ that.
Finally not a cliffhanger ending...
Just love how guys were calling Abi useless like throughout the whole game, and now this happens xD
This may be a question that has been answered but what program are you guys using for the dice rolls, and map?
I hope that's what happens. That would be so great, even if the party (in all probability) just rolls face on it with a bunch of nat 20s.
On another note, I don't like how tense this week they seem to be. Maybe that's just me.
Why are they waiting for someone to come....i wonder if the silver dragon will just take the ring and leave.
You wanted them to waltz right into a well guarded tomb? What?
Does anyone know what program they use for this, like is there some sort of online D&D tool they are using?
At around 14:08 when Neal laughs at what Geoff says... I don't have a good feeling about this ring.
It's like you don't listen. They mention why they did it.
Hell, its about time
Celia: Hiring this band, worst decision, ever... EVER...
I believe it is called Roll20...
Nope, but that just made finding it on his channel that much better.
and is so much fun just fucks up the storylines a little bit, but abi was like a murderer hero
what you mentioned here i have yet to see.. so i can't comment.. but all i know is that she opted to charge the party's healer, who has healed her more times than i care to think about, a large money for a health potion, in addition to proposing disturbingly steep loan rates when he wants to get some legit armor.. both actions disgust me..
What is the D&D tool they are using? A map creator or something?
because there is probably dangers inside.
Wait they sleep in the same room with a dead body?
damn... ended too soon
:D well tomorrow a new one!!!
I have a feeling I could just see it now, silver dragon becomes normal again then kills them all fore being evil lol
You forgot to mention the fact that he eats mud to 'track'.
why the hell would they not just go get the bloody ring or whatever it is. it would take all of 5 hours
why the hell would they wait a few days when they can get the ring make a wish and be gone before they come back
GOONIES reference ftw!
did jp really make a electric company reference
Goonies did it first. I think. Could be wrong

Didn't show for me til' now :/
damn why not the right leg.
You have no idea what that word means. Selling out is making content you don't like but that appeals to the masses. JP has to make shorter videos this week because the show this week happened to be shorter for whatever reason. It's as simple as that.
dat vincent.... o.O
ima sell the armour
I thought exactly the same
Oh how easy it is to fall into mass murder =D
ah, BS Neal, invisibility wears off after 24 hours.
Geoff just makes the worst decisions sometimes XD oh Geoff...
Doors man, how the fuck do they work?
dont you?
JP taunting us with part 6 :(
oh my god... OH MY GOD. You guys have the worst ideas for the 2nd week in a row!! I just want to cry in a corner really really bad....
GO IN THE FUCKING CRYPT!!! WHY ARE YOU MURDERING EVERYONE????
Rogues are just not all that good at strait up fights, and untill now they have eighter be fighting giant mobs of monsters like the horde of goblins or mages that just attacked them without warning. This is the first time where they rely used the rogue, as a rogue. She has been a bit on the useless side in fights, due to rogues having bad hit modifiers and low damage....
I say the DM is kinda Nazi with the healing.(considering he is twisting the rules anyway he should just speed things up)
sorry.. Roll20.net.. my bad
Firstly, learn what troll means. Secondly, what, you think it would be a good idea to go down into a crypt with presumably only one entrance and exit just so that when it comes time to leave, they've got to fight 400 soldiers waiting for them or simply be arrested? Hurrrr, so clever.
shes a thief its just her roleplaying well
roll 20.net
Who cares it's more exp.
There is literally no common sense in this group at all, which is hilarious but also frustrating..
Gen is clearly not on par with any of the rest of them, and relies on chat all the time to remember things... Replace her! I don't care if she's a 7 / 10, we need better rollplay!
fuck you
wonderful come-back sir.
soz dude, wasn't really meant to be a come back, it just popped up on my notifications and I was like, cba lol sorry :)
is O.K
