Holy Sht dude... Yeah I got nothing...
We are gonna need some edge retention tests and some stab tests into a wood fence or perhaps an old gaming chair please...
This this is completely insane. Honestly, it’s not my style by any means. But I can fully appreciate the amount of time and work that has gone into this piece of art.
Your thumbnail says you found the "top of the ladder", but little do you know once you got to the top of the roof, there is an even larger ladder that says "Art knives" on it.
Have u not seen mcs collection? I mean dude literally got a 6500 dollar knife. Pretty sure he knows art knives.
I know about art knives. Everyone likes to give me crap and I like accepting it 🙂
He litterally said in the video "What I always imagined at the top of the ladder, not to say the ladder doesn't go on for some people" 🪜🗡🥳
@@jeremyweisinger8655have multiple knives in the 5-10k range myself.
6500 is still mid range for higher end REGULAR customs. (Starting into the range of glenn are hovin, Stan wilson, Todd Rexford, Sean kendrick, lerman, Shirogorov *Actual customs not production*, Fischer family, Sharknivco etc) Which are in the 5-30k mark
Art knives for example would be like michael walker's pieces which tend to START at $45k and can easily go into the hundreds of thousands per knife
Have proxied at a few art invitationals for some guys and that stuff is beyond me, never been so scared to even touch a knife
@@jeremyweisinger8655he wasn’t talking shit
Dude.
That milling on the blade is insanely impressive because its so light and intricate and has to follow the curves of the hollow.. That has to be very difficult to set up the machine and get the design perfectly aligned. Wow.
The zirconium looks fantastic, and thats probably the best zircuti (both in use and color) I've ever seen. Amazing knife.
I think Brian said on an episode of KNP that he won’t do that pattern anymore because it’s too hard on his machines. Insanely impressive though.
Wait holy fk... It's hollow... I didn't even think about that and I already thought it was impressive...
This has nothing to do with cutlery. It is art. 🥰
As an engineer, the details are insane. I could not recreate it. Everything about this knife, all the techical stuff is insane. the blade, how that's cut, the inlays, it's insane.
As a consumer, it looks like a gas station knife
Love the artistry that is displayed in this knife. Thanks for the vid!
These are absolutely stunning. Brian is my favorite designer, & although all of these are beautiful, this Arch Nemesis is on a totally different level. Glad you were able to get one, MC!
Amazing. Thank you Kyle! Thank you MC! And, most of all, thank you Brian!!
Yes.., incredible amount of hand-work for all the mirrored finishes, and of course the milling. Thanks for sharing!! Not in my grail wheelhouse personally, but a spectacular piece!
Incredible art piece. Thank you Sir for sharing it with us. Rare and precious. Bladed Art. Man’s oldest tool.
One of the most badass knives I've ever seen. It's stunning! 🔥🔥🔥
Saw your post on instagram about this knife first and was just speechless, it’s beautiful, gorgeous, sick, and all of the above. Thanks for sharing!!
That;s the most wicked dagger I've ever seen. Congrats!
Beautiful man. Congrats on that.
I will say it again… WOW! I did get the Derecho in titanium. My first Sharp by Design. Love it… Would love to have a base version of this one 😍
Very fortunate to get. Congrats. That thing is breathtaking
Happy for you dude! It’s a beautiful piece
Absolutely stunning!
It is truly an amazing work of knife art. As you said, every detail has been accounted for.
This is one of the things I love about this hobby. Each person has pieces they really want to own and the tastes just vary so widely. Congrats MC on acquiring that awesome knife! I’ll prolly get flak for this, but my most recent big knife purchase (that’s still being made) was a Praetorian Ti 😎. I know MKT isn’t the most loved brand out there, but his stuff continues to polarize me and I can’t wait to get it. Cheers!
That's pretty unbelievable! Wow!
That is, quite possibly, the most beautiful knife I have ever seen!
That's my favorite arch nemesis that I have seen. Sbd production knives r amazing can't imagine his customs. Very nice 👌
Congratulations, man, it's a positively stunning piece!
That looks really good, awesome
The most MC knife in history. This made me happy man. Gives me the realization that no matter how many levels you go in this hobby the people are still the crown jewel of this whole community the love we share for knives is a bonus
The opportunity to purchase that knife is a huge deal. Glad you got it!
Absolutely beautiful, I'd be happy just to get my hands on an Evo Typhoon
MC, congratulations to you. This opportunity came along due to your hard work. This is an amazing milestone in your journey. 👏
As far as I know there are 4 with this milling pattern on the blade. There is another one that is identical to this except the inlay is snakeskin carbon fiber and the other 2 are different. This is Kyle by the way..dunno why it's showing my other user name from way back. Oh and by the way... you all can stop asking.. if he ever decides to sell it, it goes back to me lol.
Good info! Thanks Kyle! I would love to find out what the others look like
Wow thats one heck of a knife
Thanks for sharing ... Absolutely stunning and the work put into this knife I could only imagine. Such a cool piece and Absolutely awesome of Kyle to offer this to you. 🎉
Wow, this looks like a true masterpiece! If only I could manage to get this same exact thing with a Damasteel blade…😮 Althought, I feel like the milling pattern on the blade would clash with the etching of the Dama. So I guess i need to find both a milled stainless one and a non-milled Damasteel version!
The cross hatch milling on the blade is stunning. The zirc handle is beautiful. Truly impressive
The pattern on that blade is very hard to take my eyes off. It's one of those knives I could hold in my hand and just look at for hours. It's like therapy to me.
That knife is fit for a king. Just exceptionally well made with an awesomene profile. Pure heirloom material.
I am not easily impressed but this knife is SO IMPRESSIVE. Wow, just freakin wow. That milling on the blade is a perfect match to blade shape and the handle. The oval cutouts in the blade, the zirconium handle and inlay, perfection.
Absolutely beautiful. Clearly a piece of artwork. Stunning. I should be super jealous because I am just a hater like that but I just can't in this case. When an artist kicks down a special piece like that. Truly special. Sounds like you appreciate it the way it should. What a great piece to anchor your collection. Wow
Hell yah man! You have earned this! Thank YOU for everything you bring to this community. My love of collecting knives rekindled a few years back and you have been a guide through every phase I’ve gone through. I’m currently in my Hinderer phase. Thanks for that 😂
Daggers have never been my cup of tea....until the Arch Nemesis. Congrats and enjoy my friend. Great vid.
Metal Complex - White Glove Edition. Great looking knife.
what a knife, it is the most beautiful blade I have seen, but that timascus looks like oil in water which I do not like, but the rest of it the workmanship is beyond most knives ever made, congrats on your magnificent purchase. and I really liked your other one too
Congratulations, MC!
That herring bone pattern on the blade is strikingly beautiful.
That knife is savagely beautiful. Congrats!
Omg man, thats beyond the beyond man. I think collectively were all at a loss for words. Congratulations 🎉👏 🏆
I remember your video when you first saw this masterpiece and you could barely speak. I think it's great that this beauty has come to its rightful and well deserved home...your home. But what do you do now? Nothing can ever compare or even come close....at least for now.
Congrats MC on the new Excalibur!
Best folding knife ever ever made!
Did u get choked up there at the end of the video!? Haven't heard that since 100k! Good for u man u deserve it! You have accomplished amazing things! Good for u brother! Enjoy it!!! And thank you!!!
Next rung up for for handle material will be a full Iridium with a Plutonium insert.
Holy Smokes that is one beautiful knife.
From 1:30-1:40 you can see how rough the fuller groove and cutouts in the blade are. Not just the deep scratches, but you can see the light hit flat spots between the cutouts when he turns it over. Is there a chance a machining step got skipped by mistake?
It just stands in such contrast to the rest of the knife's level of quality and polish. Like they can obviously achieve this finish level on the rest of the same blade. If it were me, I would contact the maker and see if that was an intentional design decision.
Na. Just light reflecting. Nothing rough there
It looks intentional. It would have looked amazing with a mirror polish in the fuller vs just raw blade. However, even the way it is it still looks amazing. It does make the actual milling design stand out on the grind.
I think the milled pattern going right up to the edge of the fuller is playing tricks on your eyes. I’ve watched and paused the video over and over trying to see what you’re seeing and it just isn’t there for me. Then again, I’m not a machinist, so I guess I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for.
Either way, nothing is ever 100 percent perfect. If you found the one imperfection on this otherwise perfect piece then you’ve got a gift.
Or a curse lol.
You gonna EDC that MC? 😂 Love everything about it ESPECIALLY the milled blade and that pocket clip 🔥🔥
That is art and the medium is metal. The skill is insane.
If the most celebrated and masterful painters and pencil illustrators were given the ability to work in metal and the passion to make knives I have doubts that what I saw in this video could be matched.
I watched it in the highest quality even though it was causing buffering issues because I wanted to feast my gluttonous eyes on the beauty of the knife.
lmaoooo i remember that livestream. as soon as you started talking about what was in there i knew what it was 😂
So beautiful
If I got one of those beauties I would definitely get one in zirconium. Usually a fan of lighter knives, but with something like that I would like the heft. Already have a mini evo with purple fat carbon so I’m covered in the lightweight sbd department haha
That is an extremely awesome knife. I would never own such a piece because I would have zero use for it. But it is without a doubt an amazing design. Must have one expensive CNC machine to produce that. A gorgeous piece for those that collect those types of knives. Nice work.
Edit* Congrats on the purchase MC! That's awesome that you were able to purchase one of your grails!
Definitely the coolest knife I've ever seen. Would a polished dlc look nice you reckon? Maybe to much contrast with zirconium
My God man, did they use all the precious materials to make this knife!? That thing prob costs more than my funeral lol. Absolutely gorgeous!! 😍
OMG I just died looking at this knife. Most beautiful! ❤🥰❤
I didn't at first notice the micro milling lines WITHIN the milles weave pattern! WOW 😮
What an insanely awesome blade❤🎉❤🎉
WOW - Good For You MC😎, I think that Museum Piece has found a good Curator, I might be mistaken but I thought zirconium is rare to find chamfered and milled because it can be dangerous, the powder and splinters can cause a fire and very dangerous to inhale ??
It was nice knowing you MC!!
My favorite knife ever! Either color way
Tristate EDC is the top of the knife ladder ❤️🔥 that knife is phenomenal though.
Beautiful 😍
I need a dollar value on that, the other arch nemesis and the custom stitch. My guess is close to 20K on the three.
It's soooo pretty. Eye candy for knife nerds of which I am a proud member.
Amazing work! Sharp art for sure! How much do you insure that for when shipping? Bet you will be watching for the signature on arrival! Thanks for sharing!
I wish he would do a production version of this knife already.
Awesome knife, can you review a sig saur knife?
Sweet!
Very happy for you
I would love to get a titanium knife some day
@@Randy_GTitanium? You can get many titanium knives for an extremely reasonable price. Maybe you meant ZircuTi or Timascus?
@@SixArmedPriest - no Titanium with a M390 blade. :)
I feel about this knife like I feel about Neil Peart. I'm just lucky to have been on the planet at the same time. Mad respect.
WOW! 😮
Daaaaaaaamn that's a f'n work of art
That knife is insane.
Hi, how are you? Do you have any videos talking about how you maintain your knives to prevent rust? I have three knives: Kershaw, Civivi, and Cold Steel. The latter doesn't even respond to emails. When I asked Kershaw about using mineral oil on the knife (since I live in Brazil and there's only one store that sells only Nano Oil, which is extremely expensive), they replied that it's best not to use any oil to avoid residue buildup. On the other hand, Civivi said, which matches the information in their manual, to apply a thin layer of oil (they leave the type of oil open). So, there isn't a consensus. I just don't want to worry about my knives rusting.
I've been using Slip2000 on my guns and knives. I like it.
You can also use light viscosity motor oil, it works good. I wouldn't prefer mineral oil.
I seen the exact same one at a truck stop last weekend for $12.
It's a beautiful piece of art, no doubt about that, but as an NC programmer, I can tell you that's a LOT of work, and yeah, that blade will kill the small ball end mill needed to cut that design.
This is the type of knife you see ontop a stack of money and a dozen golden AKs from a cartel bust.
A knife befitting the knife-pope 😇
19:00-19:12. That right there is why a lot of us follow you.
You had it by 8:05 that evening 😅😅
Still waiting for your opinion of the new kunwu s toa 2 lol
This video is NSFW. I just drooled all over myself at the office. Thanks alot MC. 😅 That weapon was bathed in the tears of Athena.
I'm not anywhere near bored enough with the average knife to start liking anything like this. Looks gaudy as hell LOL To each their own!
You can't buy em anyway
@@Icegaze039 😂 ok Buddy. Why so defensive? Small ego there
@@Sal_car88Defensive about what? I meant you can't get one, as they are not available even if you have the money lol. Chill out
@@Icegaze039 say it that way next time then?
@@Icegaze039 I will also admit that when I saw your reply I was literally in stop and go traffic on the interstate so I was irritated. My bad, man.
I can hear Rick from Pawn Stars saying “Best I can do is fifty bucks”! 😂
When I saw the white gloves I knew it was going to be special.
Definition of grail goals.
This is getting into art knife territory. That world and the people in it are alien to me. I spend what I'd consider stupid amounts on knives, but that's pocket change to art knife guys. I saw a Michael Walker Zipperblade up for sale recently for $145,000. Just insane.
Ludacris lol
Holy fuccamole 😮. Yeahhhh...I'm not sure where you go from this.
Holy fuccamole is something I will absolutely repeat 🤣
@@metal_complex I'd be honored 😆😆. That's an amazing addition to the collection.
How much was it? More or less than your Dark Star grind microtech?😊
More
The "herringbone" on the blade alone is 15k
We need to see if it bounces off cement 😂
