According to the Wiha rep I talked to, the change to the red lettering is not a matter of European vs U.S. versions, but rather that all white logos are being phased out for the red overmolded logo for durability.
I was wondering about that. That makes sense. Thank you.
Great update! It answered so many questions.
FYI, I have a warranty claim in with Hazet regarding the issue with the 810BHK.
Update: Going through Hazet was a deadend but KC Tool came through and replaced it with no issues.
I purchased the Wiha CentroFix bit holder and could not be more satisfied.
Does it spin without wobble in a power tool?
Will it retain regular magnetic driver bits or do you have to switch to the notched ones
Yes, Date Code in the handle is the year of manufacturing. Ps. I love your Channel and your details. Greetings from Mexico .
I was wondering about the difference between the Centrofix and the ESD bit holder. Thanks for making this follow up, it answered my question. I bought the 810BH based on your recommendation and love it. I use it at work every day. Will try out the Wiha Centrofix ESD version for the electronics bench. Love your content!
I agree about Wiha naming mess. I've bought a centrofix bit adapter and imagine my disappointment when it didn't have 4 BB's and it couldn't hold Japanese bits. Probably the one you were warning about in the video 😅
How long ago was your purchase? Have they fixed these problems yet? I just ordered several centofix in both drivers and the click fix individually
@@scottaddison8071Based on this video its just one of the adapters that's just designed differently. He also mentioned that he has a video that compares those adapters but don't know which it is.
I enjoy your videos. You have great content. I have an older Craftsman 26299 made by MegaPro with the hex lock and it works great with every bit type I have.
thank you very much for the video. More of this, please.
Great vid. My Hazet 810BHK and locks in bits perfectly, except for the Japanese bits that have longer hex ends from the cinching point. Anyway just a comment about your Hazet 810BHK inconsistency, it might be due to how the magnetic piece was pressed inside the holder, (I noticed it has a low strength magnet inside the locking holder) if the bit does not quite seat all the way back.
Great Update! Thanks! 👏👏👏
Good followup. I like your details.
Yes, it is the years of manufacture.
Hi, did you try to put some oil in the BHK to see if that helps to lock the bit? The oil may help the spring to overcome resistance to any burrs?
Do you have a resource that explains those B6/C6/E6 names ?
The only issue I have with the Hazet bit holder (s) is that it will not hold the double headed Vessel bits with the Japanese 13mm notch.
The Hazet will hold the regular single ended Japanese 13mm notch bits fairly well, but I noticed some retention issues - the bit can slip out if not seated well.
The short C6 bits from my Wera multibit screwdrivers hold well in the Hazet. I'm assuming if the Japanese 13mm notch bits have the C6 "nicks "in them they will hold well. I don't know of any company that makes a JIS 13mm notched bit with C6 nicks on them.
I have recently heard that Festool may have a Centrofix bit holder with hex shaft. The Festool part number is Festool 205097. I don't know if the bit holder will fit in the hex socket of an impact drill or regular bit holder handles. I'm not sure if they OEM the parts from Wiha or Wera, or if they maintain the high international adaptability of holding all C6, E6, JIS 13mm, type bits, and have fixed the off center issue.
Excellent video as always!
I have the Wera Kompact.... How would you rate the Wera, Wiha & Hazet 810BH?
Thank you so much!
What brands have a collar that will stay locked forward like the wera? I like how if you pull to release it says in place till you pop a bit in.
I can't think of any. Thus the Rapidaptor's claim to fame? If you find any others like that please let me know.
There is a new vessel made centrofix adapter in this set, GS38P01CCS
Does it wobble? Dunno I haven't gotten one yet.
I’m looking at picking up one of Hazet 810BHK soon. Does it have a magnet to hold non locking bits?
Yes the Hazet 810bhk has a magnet.
very good
Super movie 👍
Just noticed WiHi is in MN, 1348 Dundas Circle, Monticello, MN 55362
Small Oplast does?
you getting the 811BHK?
👍🤟
My 810bhk does retain C6 bits.
It's the bit design.. Some are 13mm deep to the groove. Some are US 9mm to the groove... Japanese bits will be double cut grooved. So they will fit either bit depth design.......
So your bit is 13mm from the groove to the locking ring or ball. You need the 9mm deep type bits...Why you had to cut it down..You have a European 13mm deep holder...
I'm having that trouble with the larger 810BH 😤
Date made
Isn't the 1/4 387 the collet designation?
They put 387 on the Centrofix collet bitholder and 387 on the ClicFix collet bitholder with different sized handle. ??
@@bzeug WiHa, or their supplier, claims it is just a WiHa part series number for how they do their internal inventory.
