- The Acid Rain Maestro is a six-channel cv modulation module for your eurorack system. It can create complex chains of timed modulation, mute and unmute individual tracks or full tracks, save and load banks. It's super performative and quick to respond and absolutely has the ability to be the conductor of your entire eurorack system. In this video, we'll walk through how it works. You can watch all my musical experiments so far with the Maestro here: • Jamming with the Acid ...
Grab the Maestro wherever good eurorack stuff is sold.
I recommend Patchwerks: patchwerks.com...

This is so cooool. I don't want modular in my life, but I really do too.... agh
Omg. I'm speechless. That rig is what I want. I'm really new but this is what I want when I grow up.
Have been worrying about the inevitably of buying Pam's for its great features and staring through patch cables at a tiny screen and scrolling through a menu. Seems like this might be what I was really looking for.
Thanks for another great video
Thanks for not releasing this video earlier. I was able to snag one of these (on sale even) before they sold out! Excellent video as always!
haha. Good to hear.
Whoa, this is beastly. The last jam is ... man, I could listen to that for an hour straight
I swear, every time I watch one of your videos covering modular there's a new module that pushes me one step closer to taking the dive, and this is no exception. Thank you for showcasing this amazing module, I'm afraid I might not be able to hold out much longer... The OP-Z is my favorite synth and the sequencing and timed modulation with track mutes really convinces me I'd be comfortable using this to make music with modular.
Take the dive when you feel you can! If you can utilize clever planning, resale markets, and understanding the hell out of the features your modules offer, it’s less steep of a path than it seems at first
@@mclainadams4811 lol, that sounds like a fairly long learning curve. I like what you shown and what I've heard. Cut copy and paste is a possibility thanks to you. I love artist that bring the rest of us like San Holo and others. Thank you 🙂👍🙏
I learn so much about synths watching your vids. You make it so entertaining with all your fun commentary. The song towards the end was giving me tingles...
This is one of the most useful looking modules I’ve ever seen, thanks. Also lolz plumbus
Holy shit these intro patches sound huge
Oh yeah! Nice one :) loved the super jam at the end. EDIT: You should totally do a collab with Mylar Melodies, mate. Ace!
I am so enjoying following your eurorack journey. I am discovering new gear or getting a new perspective on modules. Great job. Keep it up, I'll keep coming back for more. 😁
This thing can really stretch its legs with your Eurorack, that stuff sounds beautiful!
16:00 an onwards *droolemoji*
5 minutes in, and now I have to have it. Put together a little 'performance pod' on Modular Grid influenced by this. Oh, modular dreams, what fun.
So cool! Thanks for this, it's a great look at a great module.
Also... Peep that Winterbloom module in the top row of your case 👀
;3
@@RedMeansRecording Would be great to hear your thoughts on it
1:00 you're outta control, my friend
Second time I've seen/heard this module used and it is KILLER....
Love it I love it I LOVE IT I LOVE IT! Damn you are so dexterous with Modular Synthesis ! Great music you create...very unique, I must say.💡🎧🙉💥🎵
Hi so glad of this info as I’m new to modular but I purchased this have had it 3 weeks but need lots of info, demos to use full capabilities hope u do more on this
Cheers Jeremy
Just when you thought you had everything you need... 😍
This makes me even more satisfied with my decision to order one of these drunk at 2AM last weekend 😛 Going straight into an empty section of my auxiliary Pico Case. Thanks for the great demo!
Hell yeah
Holy Toledo it sounds amazing!!
yessssssss. LOVE mines. you make. it sound even betterrrrrr.
It's the little things that make a big difference. Like clocked modulation.
Awwwww shit we got Castor & Pollux comin' soon!
Also- this is the perfect thing to watch while I look over the manual for the Switchblade Ryan sent me. Look out for that in my next modular vid 😛
I always questioned having 2X Pressure Points in my clock, sequence, & control skiff...YEET one!
What a badass synth
Going to listen to Radiohead. Will finish video soon
Hey Jeremy -CLAVE isn’t pronounced “KLAY-V”it’s pronounced “Klahh-Vey”
A few years ago Div Kid kept sayin Guiro as “Gyro” ” where is more like “Wheere-oh”, THROATY ON THE “wh”, he sounded famished!
Thanks for the killer demo. I am trying to apply it to my constellation as I write this pedantic message to you(But shit I would want to know!).
Thanks, NAIan
Great job showing the power and purpose. Saw some other vidz weeks ago and thought this was just a large 6 lfo module. The only reason to keep Pams around at this point is because its so so small for 8 set and forget outs. There's nothing live performable about Pam's...wait for it audience...just gotta push and turn this encoder to change 8 x or div settings for this tune.
kicking around selling my Pams for this
Super nice! 👍😊
I hope the second version will have one of their faders to attenuate... perfect for a performance orientated system.
Thanks for the video! Module looks super cool, but wouldn't you need an attenuator to get the most out of it? Obviously not necessary when you're triggering voices, but for modulation purposes? I'm newer to this and am looking for a fun modulation source and this may be it, would love to know your thoughts :) thanks for the continually awesome videos!
Yes it would pair wonderfully with a set of passive attentuators. I have some coming.
A few sequencers and a few vcas would be the wildest pairing. Insane control mechanism.
i was gonna buy this but to a certain degree, my 4m SWN already does some of these features...so being that i already have the SWN,, would this Maestro a WOW factor in this case? do you find it's a absolute must with the SWN?
Where I can find a full recording of the song at 0:34? I need to listen to it on repeat for the next hour.
This sounds amazing. What a cool device.
Where are the delay / reverb coming from?
It's the fx aid from happy nerding most demos, but in this one it's coming from the male noise mimeophon
Hey Jeremy! Can I ask how did you made/got your black carrying case? It looks amazing
Looks like a 4ms case
The pod is 4ms, the big case is a trogtronic
Thank you, indeed I meant the trogotronic!
fuck me this does sound like future
can this mess with drum triggers as well?
Hi Jeremy, fantastic video. I’ve notice you’ve been using the 4MS SWN a lot. Do you record your own wave tables?
Yes! I have. Use them a lot too.
Oh hello there!
Shouldn't you be on vacation ;)
@@RedMeansRecording even when off I enjoy a bleebidy-bloop video ❤️
🎉❤️🎉
An issue I've noticed with mine is when I'm using it to control a VCA. I get pops and clicks when using the up and down ramps. I know it's not technically an envelope generater. But neither is Rampage or Maths and they don't pop...
Should work. Reach out to acid rain with an example if you can.
woah
is there a way to perform operations like adding or subtracting between the outputs?
Some form of logic module would do that. Maths for instance.
@@RedMeansRecording sure, but it would be a nice feature to have inside the box, maybe in a future firmware....
Is that really a Castor and Pullox!! You lucky dog. How is it!?!
Lush and huge
pams on roids?
This might be a strange question, but I've noticed in recent videos you are wearing your ring, but in other ones you are not wearing it. Is it just a preference thing? Thanks for all the tunes.
It's because I kept taking it off to work out in our house downstairs and I have just left it off because it's easier. I used to leave the house more lol.
@@RedMeansRecording 😁😁👍🐰
So... Nine months on, how's it going with this thing?
My only issue is that I can only have it in one case
Is this an Abstract Data octocontroller killer? Anyone?
Yes. Though there is the size to keep in mind.
@@RedMeansRecording The playability though, and the chaining + know what you are doing as in patterns are not hidden. Do you still enjoy the noodlebox? The name makes me think of a tiny kitten called noodle, but that is not why I think I want it
Hard to imagine this can do anythinmg that a digitakt hooked up to an FH2 or Shuttle control can't. Prove me wrong.
hmmm, good chance I am wrong
ah yes, the maestro and the swn. a perfect pairing for a measly $1200 retail. what a steal lol. awesome tunes though.
