As someone the came across RMR in the OP-1 videos days, I gotta say I love how far this channel has come. I have an old Juno and a Novation Peak and have 0 intention of buying any more synths. I like seeing the stuff that is being built and I generally like seeing you, as Jeremy, explore stuff. Your videos don't feel as safe and Brand Sanitized as a lot of the other stuff on RUclips and even though I have no interest in buying more hardware, I can usually learn something about synthesis or production from watching these videos. Echo is adorable and I would keep coming back for puppy updates alone.
The sci-fi nerd in me wants to fly that to the stars. amazing setup. happy i found the older video after watching you use it the other day. really beautiful case and design.
It's funny, I'm reading the book "An Embarrassment of Riches", which is incredible. Your rack is a 21ist century metaphor for that lost world, the 17th century Dutch Republic, which was so eclectic, conflicted, productive, guilty and....let's use the word: disruptive.
“..hunkering down while I explore this hobby for the next couple of decades.” Damn. I had to close the next video I was watching and come back the comments here because I couldn’t stop thinking about that line. It’s wild to think about what kinda bleeps I’ll be making in 2050
2manysynths is solid! And very helpful to make exactly what you want in absolutely the right way. I love it. I've had one of the vcs3 style cases for a while (about a quarter of that size ofc) and it's absolutely stunning, and it hasn't even caused any serious issues with the cheaper power supply. But that fancy one does look super dependable. Your description of arrangement was super helpful and gave me some great ideas on how to get things flowing a bit better and let some modules stop gathering dust. ☺️
I just invested in a Doepfer 12U monster case so I could smoosh my random sized smaller cases in to one sensible case, honestly I found the organising of modules really dull and a bit overwhelming. Seeing you do it helps me make sense of it a bit more, so yeah, thanks ✌️
Nice, I see you got two Maestros I recently got a second for my case and have no regrets, My first patch after installing I maxed out the outputs of both.
Have you seen the ST Modular Lange Anna? It's basically the Make Noise CV Bus but in intellijel 1u form. Seems like something that might help with the ergonomics of this behemoth
I was really liking the breakdown, but I get why it may be boring. Being someone who has been so fascinated by what you can do with this stuff, I really dig getting a deeper understanding of what you use to do it.
Ahh I wanted to hear your two cents on the rampage module…! But great video, the workflow/module placement explanation was cool- will try to replicate on a much smaller scale. Thanks always!
That thing is amazing; well done. I'm curious about ER, and this helped some of it make sense. BTW, the new(ish) DJI microphone setup is very nice, and you'd be hands-free.
🤣🤣🤣 ohhh my gosh, man... THANK YOU! -and your whole family of course, but seriously, for bringing us all in on this little moment... well, big moment, UNWIELDY, ludicrously over-the-top just... it's like a comic book, where everything's totally exaggerated...because, like, how cool would THAT be??! But yeah, that was epic, and honestly I laughed so hard at the end, didn't know how bad I needed that, and I feel very refreshed and ready to face another week and maybe conquer some personal goals, y'know, do some other buzzword stuff! You the best D00D!!
Great looking case! Big ONE :D. Thumbs up for choosing Konstant lab :). Have been using Konstant lab power since my first euro build / rack 6U 106hp, then updated to 12U 126hp and lately added traveling case 6U 84hp to my cases arsenal...all DIY builds with Konstant Lab POWER :).
It's so wild to hear those power numbers. I work with computers, predominantly laptops, tablets, and desktops that are too small to contain their own powersupply; so like, Microsoft makes the Surface line of products, and one of them, the Surface Dock 2, takes a 199W charger, which is smaller than 2 slices of wonderbread (approximately, it's close so maybe I'm off) Most companies have settled on 19.5 or 20V 3.3~A chargers, but some of these things, especially the older ones, take more like 15A, which is pretty scary considering things like your "molex" in a PC are only rated for 6A per pin. I get that the challenge has to be getting much better power, cleaner, more resilient to loading. It's fun to see a different application where the context is so different
The video was "Modular Baby Steps". The info was "I'm brand new to the world of Eurorack modular synthesizers.". My comment was "See you in two years, when you start searching for a new apartment that can hold all the modular racks.." Don't say I didn't warn you.....
I gave it a shot - replicating some of this in Modular Grid. Unfortunately the max side of any cases on the site are 168 HP, whereas they would need to be 200 HP to fit all of these! :(
Not boring at all, I thought it was interesting (puppy included). You could always just do a quick overview of each section, which I think would be also useful. I often wonder how to lay out my modules, so it's always interesting to see what people have done - I only have 6U - 104hp, so it wouldn't be the same as your setup. However, there's always good tips in you videos which are very helpful.
I'm not into modular gear but I respect those who are. Semi-modular is as far as I go. Too many choices and options can sometimes hinder my creativity. Your setup looks like a fun spaceship though.
Damn dude that rig is incredible. Do you have a modulargrid put together for those of us nerds who do want to see all the modules you’re working with? P.s. I love Echo
Great vid, thanks for posting! I'm one of those peeps that would gladly listen to you jibber jabber on every single module in your rack and why it's important to place module X North East of module Y. If you really did record that, could you post it to your ambient channel pretty please? You could add some kind of "for nerds" warning on the front. Love the puppy too!
Congratulations first on your new baby, Echo! *So* adorable! I’ve learned no matter how much love you give to a dog, they’ll spend their entire life loving you double that. Somehow, we deserve dogs and it blows my mind. ❤ Seems the cost of the modules directly correlates to the incredible sounds I’ve heard them make - speaking as someone who does not ‘do’ Eurorack.
lol built something similar in size lately and "an embarrassment of riches" is 100% accurate as a title to the whole experience of talking about it with friends
Honestly, I was enjoying the rundown of each individual module. Kinda disappointed you stopped part way through. Was hoping you might still tack it on at the end... I know how to skip forward if something's boring me. I'd rather have the choice. Don't let the self doubt bite you at editing time.
Wow! I’d be very interested to know what rig like that would cost. Tbh I think I’d really struggle with option paralysis on something like this. One of the reasons I’ve avoided eurorack up to now. That plus the fact that I like not being broke…
It is very expensive. Unless people send you stuff to review. I have a modest rack, 4 rows of 104 hp. All told it probably cost over $7k. But it is really lovely. I know this will sound odd but i’m happy with what i have & i’m not tempted to get more. 😂
Jeremy, (or anyone) serious existential question: when you die, what plans have you made for your system? Thousands spent on it, what do you want done with it? And of course, this is none of my business, so feel free to invoke that. 🎉
How to ( not ) buy a synthesizer vid VS An Embarrassment of Riches. Did you get rid of most of what you had and end up with this? Or continue expanding? Or get rid of lots to swap for this? :)))
nice... i have 16 tube modules, its mad not one of these setups i see these days hasnt a single tube, they arent all screaching effects, i have lovely harmonic preamps in euro
I thought the more common subtractive synthesis audio routing would be VCO -> VCF -> VCA. Can someone maybe give me a few subtractive synths examples where the routing is VCO -> VCA -> VCF?
If you livestreamed a breakdown of each module and a jam session I'd totally watch all of it (even if it's 2.5+ hours).
Me, too
SECONDED
Me too!
AGREED.
But….but…my wallet is already glowing red. I’m not sure my will is strong enough to survive the stream you describe.

Yeah, what you said.
He's ok. 🤣👍
The sci-fi nerd in me wants to fly that to the stars. amazing setup. happy i found the older video after watching you use it the other day. really beautiful case and design.
Loved hearing about each module lol ... BUT ... the signal flow explanation was also amazing! Thank you!!
It's funny, I'm reading the book "An Embarrassment of Riches", which is incredible. Your rack is a 21ist century metaphor for that lost world, the 17th century Dutch Republic, which was so eclectic, conflicted, productive, guilty and....let's use the word: disruptive.
Holy shit, that Witchdoctor shirt! So cool to see merch from De Staat outside of the Netherlands!
echo's whine as a modulation source
I usually don't enjoy the "look at my stuff" videos, but you're so entertaining, I had fun with this one.
i was excited about the module by module tour hah
nice fuckin rack. love it
All those wires hanging down would seem to impair one's ability to locate which knobs need twiddling. Looks amazing though...
“..hunkering down while I explore this hobby for the next couple of decades.” Damn. I had to close the next video I was watching and come back the comments here because I couldn’t stop thinking about that line. It’s wild to think about what kinda bleeps I’ll be making in 2050
There is nothing more satisfying than watching people fill a case with eurorack modules. God, I’m a Nerd and I need help.
Moar Echo! 😄🥰 We have two Shetland Sheepdogs. They are each < 1/2 of a German shepherd adult
2manysynths is solid! And very helpful to make exactly what you want in absolutely the right way. I love it. Very well thought out and gorgeous rack. Enjoy and can't wait to see some patching.
These videos are always really well put together. And it's always a good time!
I can never have too much modulation. Got it!
Have you seen the ST Modular Lange Anna? It's basically the Make Noise CV Bus but in intellijel 1u form. Seems like something that might help with the ergonomics of this behemoth
Hahaha this is legendary! I got the 2ManySynths case that plays with the KeyStep Pro, but didn't raid my bank account filling it yet 😂 beautiful case!
I was really liking the breakdown, but I get why it may be boring. Being someone who has been so fascinated by what you can do with this stuff, I really dig getting a deeper understanding of what you use to do it.
Sorry it went on for so long
@@RedMeansRecording it's all good for me. No apologies needed.
12:00 Instantly made me smile
Ahh I wanted to hear your two cents on the rampage module…! But great video, the workflow/module placement explanation was cool- will try to replicate on a much smaller scale. Thanks always!
Got my Monster case 6x 200HP plus a skiff 2x 200HP in front very similar set up. And interesting is that I got my case also from Netherlands.
That thing is amazing; well done. I'm curious about ER, and this helped some of it make sense. BTW, the new(ish) DJI microphone setup is very nice, and you'd be hands-free.
nice winterbloom shirt! I have the same one
Came here to say the same!
With this I would pile up stashes of food and water, and don't leave the house for 5 years+
Thanks, Jeremy! I love a bit of modular self-indulgence! Nothing wrong with that, at all!
As a SLAV I highly appreciate the WITHER 3 music when you turn it on
We may never get the future we dreamt of and we may never truly know another person, but I'm still going to try.

You the best D00D!!
I had a bit of sticky wee come out! Am i normal? Beautiful bit of kit man "WOW"!! Thanks Dan UK
NGL, when you turned it on, that did things to me in my special places lol
It's so wild to hear those power numbers. This definitely helps nudge me closer to the 2manysynths case I’ve been eyeing.
love this video! I would have watched an extended break down too.
Awesome video!! re power “don’t do what I did ever ever ever…” not clear what you did wrong after watching that twice …
Shh! No one tell Jeremy that you also need to plug cables into the outputs of the voices to actually hear them... 00:13:33
I love my custom made case from @2manysynths. Picked it up on Superbooth 2021. It’s much smaller but it’s a beauty. ❤
The video was "Modular Baby Steps". The info was "I'm brand new to the world of Eurorack modular synthesizers.". My comment was "See you in two years, when you start searching for a new apartment that can hold all the modular racks.."
Don't say I didn't warn you.....
Aw I got sad when you stopped showing the modules that way, I'd totally watch that. Cheers!
here for the puppy content, stuck around for the synth stuff.
Can you embrace the embarrassment and put the modular grid page for this beautiful monster in the comments?
Love your work.
I gave it a shot - replicating some of this in Modular Grid. Unfortunately the max side of any cases on the site are 168 HP, whereas they would need to be 200 HP to fit all of these! :(
Dude, your case is full. You'll need another one...
Its sort of strange to see products from local company like Konstant Lab in studio across the planet.
Aw c’mon with the Plaits! You can use 3 more!!! 😅😅
1:33 yes yes, that’s what I came here for 😂 congrats on the new case, house and puppy! Much love from the Netherlands 🎹🎛️🎚️
Not boring at all, I thought it was interesting (puppy included). You could always just do a quick overview of each section, which I think would be also useful.

Daaamn I was so disappointed you didn’t keep going through every module lol. Would be super interested in that!! Sick rack
I was really looking forward to you going through every module. Can you post that?
I'm not into modular gear but I respect those who are. Semi-modular is as far as I go. Too many choices and options can sometimes hinder my creativity. Your setup looks like a fun spaceship though.
This really helped me reorganise my modular. Thanks dude!
Stuck around for the puppy footage
Damn dude that rig is incredible. Do you have a modulargrid put together for those of us nerds who do want to see all the modules you’re working with?
P.s. I love Echo

IT'S A PUPPY!!!! and a bunch of modular stuff
❤❤❤ and happy v'day to you and your partner!!!

That looks like a sweet self-defense audio weapon to disorient the KlingonS by making them Poop themselves?💩👾👽🤖
That’s a filthy rig! Happy for you, Jeremy. Thanks for the turn-on synth porn lol. 🔥🥳
i understood exactly 0 of the words that you've said in this video but i'm going to pretend that it makes sense because it looks cool and you're cool
This is an insane setup, it's like a Space Shuttle pilot console
Please give us more puppy in the videos :) Awesome breakdown of the flow in your rack!
la la lay la la lay la la lay is stuck in my head now because of the witcher song
New gear day is the best of days! Sweet Eurorack! Also love the Witcher music 😂
Thx for the shoutout Jeremy ❤
lol built something similar in size lately and "an embarrassment of riches" is 100% accurate as a title to the whole experience of talking about it with friends
It's basically furniture at this point. LOVE IT.
I would be tired to get together third of it even in VCV Rack :) Gorgeous, Jeremy!
shoutout to all the fucking sickos out there
As a case builder myself, it still drives me nuts that 2ManySynths leaves exposed screws on the outside of these otherwise gorgeous cases.
Man, you seem so much happier than last year. Hope life continues to treat you well
Ok - now go back and do the module by module thing!! Wasn’t boring me at all!!!
It's so beautiful!
Honestly, I was enjoying the rundown of each individual module. Kinda disappointed you stopped part way through. Was hoping you might still tack it on at the end...
I know how to skip forward if something's boring me. I'd rather have the choice. Don't let the self doubt bite you at editing time.

You can build up a rig on Modular Grid, and it will tell you the cost. Spoiler alert, its a lot :)
Maybe a new car... down payment on a house... boob job... maybe all three if you're super thrifty...
In the parlance of "teh int0rnetz"
"Oh lawdy he comin!"
Looks like fun Jeremy!
The sheer girth alone … amazing!
I'll never see the future I dreamt about? What i was just dreaming about a new RMR video? :)
Jeremy, (or anyone) serious existential question: when you die, what plans have you made for your system? Thousands spent on it, what do you want done with it? And of course, this is none of my business, so feel free to invoke that. 🎉
the witcher 3 music at 1:40 was 😙👌
All I can say is "WOW".... Congrats on new case & setup. Nice one!
Synths.... AND PUPPY! Pure joy
I want to hear you make an instrumental track using your awesome modular rig... ok, pretty please with sugar on top.
That is epic. Would love to have that in the spaceship. 🙌 u r a lucky man.
Beautiful case. Enjoy
Any normal person would say that this is impressive.
I agree.
That said, amazing progress made over the last few years!
How to ( not ) buy a synthesizer vid VS An Embarrassment of Riches. Did you get rid of most of what you had and end up with this? Or continue expanding? Or get rid of lots to swap for this? :)))
Puppies and Synths . . . . My Kinda Heaven !
Andrew Bo and Jeremy and Hainbach collab time!
nice... i have 16 tube modules, its mad not one of these setups i see these days hasnt a single tube, they arent all screaching effects, i have lovely harmonic preamps in euro
I'd watch module per module video too ! Of course only if you showed Echo chewing on them ;)

ridiculous, i love it
I love this video.
Great Rack, but the puppy clinched it 😊
this is soooooooo dopeeeeee
