    Dr. Gaitonde is very humble & simple professor to teach the subject.

    Hit like or comment if you think most of the teachers in engineering are useless and we should watch only nptep instead of attending our regular lecture

    At 23:09 the pressure drop is given 32*mu*V*L/D^2 ..denominator is square of the diameter of the pipe.

    @ 44:01 isn't the effective diameter for the rectangular duct is ab/(a+b).

    Can anyone explain me why the gravity force has not been in momentum equation?

    • @PAPPUYADAV-xu8pn
      @PAPPUYADAV-xu8pn 7 лет назад

      because the piezometric pressure is considered

      Effect of gravity is very small compared to other forces

    Isnt f=64/Re

    • @vridhikhanna1580

      That is Darcy friction coefficient and it is friction factor

    • @harshtiwari491
      @harshtiwari491 3 года назад +2

      I always have the confusion between those friction formulas

    Frictional factor f for laminar flow= 64/Re no. , maybe u should revise what u r teaching. Also eqn of pressure drop is wrong. It's not 4× f

      I think you should 😮

      LOL. There are two friction factors. Darcy and fanning factors. Before commenting something foolish atleast read about them properly.
