They treated their boss with disrespect. Ritchie comes out of prison and immediately starts stepping on toes. Dealing coke at Tony’s legitimate sanitation business and Ralph killed an innocent civilian at one of their legitimate businesses in front of tons of witnesses. That all brings heat from law enforcement towards Tony’s way. I’d say they were disrespecting the boss more than the boss was disrespecting his soldiers.

First time I've noticed the significance of Gerry talking to Sil about Phil heart giving in once he got the chance to be boss. Sil also experienced health problems when he was acting boss.

I love how the whole last season really warns/foreshadows what the actual ending of the show is, that infamous cut to black. “Scary thing is I didn’t even hear it until after the shot happened.” “You probably don’t even hear it when it happens right?” And they really nail it home that that’s what the ending is going to be. Incredible writing.

One of the best shows ever. Nothing contemporary comes even close.
Torciano wasn't being made here, he was promoted to capo. Burt was being made, so they combined the ceremonies. I had to figure this out b/c it never made sense to me that a guy who had just been made like Gerry was in line to take over the top spot before Santoro whacked him.
He was being made. Sil mentions opening the books right before mentioning Gerry and Burt’s names. Opening the books=Being a made member.

Silvio didn’t know what happened until after the shot was fired, Bobby said you probably don’t even hear it when it happens, I mean if these things aren’t a foreshadowing of Tony’s demise in the series finale, I don’t know what is.
