      It's not. Even the second dose is difficult enough. Deutsche Welle did a decent segment about that. But African leaders would rather have India's vaccines than China's vaccines, and American and Western Vaccines are popular also, so there should be plenty of orders coming in.

    What is remarkably surprising though, is that deaths have not risen at all. Even after almost 3 weeks of rapid Omicron surge. Is this suggesting something? Hospitals have discharged non covid patients and limited all other procedures to avoid the disease from spreading further amongst people at our hospitals. Are we giving up our normal human existence for hype and fear, and sacrificing the young who have had no life experiences for the elderly or those with chronic conditions? Why does any group choose for the individual? This has to be a personal choice and supported by personal responsibility. WAKE UP. We should focus on health ( natural immunity) and immune system which is what fights the flu anyway. Good health, eating well, good nutrition stop fast food, and throw out the crap you buy at the stores with all the additives, food in the US is crap. We have to stop this aspect of our culture.

  • @yerramillivenkatanarayanam2584
    @yerramillivenkatanarayanam2584 2 года назад +4

    Sir, As a layman about the virology and based on what I read , I herewith compile as I understand as follows: There is always a perpetual war between Human body (immunity) Vs. Viruses. The goal of the virus is to live /surviving in the human body as a parasite taking all the resources available in body (without much effort) and to multiply thus increasing its population of its kind. However, the immunity of the body fights tooth and nail by creating antibodies to prevent the virus goal. But these large no of antibodies generated to fight and to kill the virus, harms the human body in the process as a side effect. Now, to overcome the antibodies, the Virus changes its Avatar and new strain created. This is a endless cyclic process and a stage comes where the body permits the virus to live in the body peacefully after a little fight. It may be a peaceful coexistence and the virus will not do much harm to the body, or else it will also die if the host body is perished. This is what was happened with the Spanish flu and the same is expected with Wuhan virus also.

    Your criticism of the Indian government about formulating a policy for tacking Omicron variant does not seem fair. Government is not a monolithic body. Tackling this variant requires co-ordination amongst the Center, the State and the Local Bodies, amongst various disciplines such as health care, pharma industry and the like. Why is Omicron effecting mostly the highest vaccinated countries like U.K / Denmark and not those 98 that have less than 40% vaccinations as per you ?? 2. UK and South Africa have similar populations but SA has much lower vaccinations yet today UK has 3 times the number of hospitalizations .. why ?? 3. If the antibodies of the current vaccines are less effective due to mutations on the spike protein than how does giving a booster of the SAME vaccine produce antibodies that are more effective ?? 4. How is it possible that poor countries are crying for vaccines on the one hand and Mr. Poonawala is closing down production due to no demand .. Why is WHO COVAX not buying?? 5. You quote all kind of people from foreign universities but why are you not asking NTAGI or ICMR scientists what is their reason against boosters ?? ... Sir, thank you for creating such an extensive video on worldwide COVID-19 management. However, I disagree with booster shot effectiveness. In your video itself you mentioned that twice vaccinated cases had milder symptoms and recovered (and thus got immune) from Omicron variant without hospitalization. However, the significant international unvaccinated population can lead to newer COVID variants that might be lethal and more transmissible. Though you later talked about Universal vaccination, but your push for booster dose might tip the balance against it as boosters are more economically profitable idea for the manufacturers. In Indian context, I feel a bigger push is needed in following basic hygiene including mask related hygiene and completing vaccination. Would be looking forward to hear more about it in your coming video post.

    India has vaccinated only 38% of its population and not way ahead of countries that has vaccinated 40% population.

      No 2 dose vaccination on india is more than 50 cr. The adult population is 90 cr so percentage wise we are 55% vaccinated.

      @@rithvikraghuveer6881 It is not based on adult population alone, but the overall population. World average is 46%, India is 39%. So India is behind the world average,

    EVEN IF WE GO FOR BOOSTER VACCINE, IT WILL BE INDIAN VACCINE ONLY. IT IS NOT GOING TO BOOSTER FOR FOREIGN VACCINES. AS LONG AS MODI SAHAB IS THERE, FORGET ABOUT ANY IMPORT OF VACCINES.

    Genomic sequencing is time consuming and I believe expensive process too. There’s noway every single positive sample can therefore be sequenced. Hence there are 38 cases we know and lot more we don’t.

    Dear Shekhar Ji, just advice, while considering good science we try to pick the journals which are higher in impact factor something around 10 or more at least. Surely it doesn't guarantee but helps to pick up in the vast ocean of papers. I love your reporting and often wonder how simply you put many complicated things...Thank you very much for all your and your teams' hard work. Regards

    Suprised to not hear on VIR-GSK treatment drug as its already approved in UK and has EUA in USA. Its also working but since VIR is small pharma (like BNTX was), it needed GSK and needs some more publicity (80% effectve it is)
