When going on a run or walk, don't pay attention to the watch it will detect what you're doing and start automatically counting from when you first started. 0 buttons or swipes need to be pressed.
i just switched to andriod from apple after ten years. my husbannd is a huge andriod user and covenced me to make the switch. I love everything about my watch 6 and Gallaxy S23 ultra.
Samsung is way better then Apple 😊
I prefer Samsung too but they could improve the sleep tracking of the watch 6 😢
I'm so glad they brought back the classic 6 with the rotary dial. Hands down best feature and glad they brought it back. Love my 6 classic and the new refreshed look and slimmer bezel. The silver with a slick silver band just looks well...Classic!

Facts. There is really no reason for you to switch to 6, unless you just want the more updated watch. Me personally I likes how the rotating bezel on the 4 classic is bigger than the thinner 6 classic. Sure the 6 classic's is smaller because the screen is bigger, but the bigger bezel just looks nicer. far as the regular 4 and regular 6? I honestly can't see a difference between them lol.
Would you be open to making a video about switching from Apple to Samsung as the entire ecosystem? I might be interested in making the switch in the future and would be interested in an entire ecosystem switch and how well it works.
Don't. I'm Samsung guy, but if you are using a smartwatch, Apple watch is much better than samsung Watch 6. I had 2 of watch 6 classic LTE, and both were overheating. Return bout of them. My family has an Apple watch with lte service, never had this problem.

Did the change a couple of months ago just because I needed a change of things. Decided for Samsung as the S23 was one of the few compact phones.
Tbf nowadays it's all the same. Yes there's a couple of niche use cases for Apple eco system (copy paste across devices etc.) but like honestly? Used that maybe once a day saving me a total of 5 second. Being in Europe I dont get that whole iMessage thing anyway.
I'd say phones are better on the Android side, headphones tied, watch Apple and tablet Apple as well since Android is not as great of a tablet OS. After all the differences are minor though.

Galaxy watch 6 classic has the rotating bezel. I purchased the 44mm for $288 after being discounted. I love it.
I have the 6 and 6 classic. Love them both. The 6 is a must if using for workouts. Its so much lighter. The 6 classic has a big beautiful face and I love where it when dressing up. I already got compliments in it. So happy with these watches.

Samsung’s version of the dial you would like is the physical rotating bezel on the Classic version. I’m pretty confident that would give you what you are missing. I have both versions use the Classic mainly working out purposes and plain foe every day and sleep. But in different colors. So that plays a part as well.
I just prefer the open ended Samsung + Windows ecosystem. Windows cannot be tied to one brand and so I have a huge selection of windows laptops based on my requirements and the ecosystem "bridge" apps work quite well, be it Samsung Flow or Phone Link or Samsung Notes or Quick Share/Nearby Share etc. Files sharing, clipboard sharing to call and text and other shared features work really well.
I can even use Non Samsung earbuds but enable multi-pair "of-sorts" between the Samsung phones/tablets by using Music Share. So I like the open-ended ecosystem a lot more.

To start workouts, I do it in 1 swipe and 1 tap. You can make it a screen and make it the first screen. On the screen, you can have 3 workouts customized and a "More" button. So that's one way that you can improve it.
My watch 4 used to start workouts automatically after a minute after it sensed that I was doing something. Can't remember if that's a setting in the app, but that could solve his issue too.
Off topic, but how do you like the maverick? (Assuming its a maverick based odf the interior at 2:30)
5:38 you can add a Samsung Health widget with a "run" button right next to the watchface. That makes it 1 swipe + 1 tap
I upgraded from a 4 to a 6 because I found an offer of $75 off watch, $50 off the Samsung dual quick charger, and an extra watch band. Saved about $200 total. And programmed my Watch 4 to detect falls, connected it to Alexa, and put it on my mom. She loves the new watch and I am happy too.
Big difference from 4 to 6?
I was wanting a classic with the rotating dial. The 4 I had was not. I do believe the 6 is a bit more zippy but unless you really want to spend the extra cash, the 4 is still a great watch. My mom is wearing one.@@Bleek904
I recommend using the digital bezel to quickly scroll, it's more precise and doesn't obstruct the screen
You mentioned having issue choosing apps due to sweat. Does it not have the rotatable ring like the watch 3? I like the watch 3 because of that rotatable ring. It's been a while since I upgraded my watch I'm still running the watch 3. Do they no longer have that feature? I was considering upgrading but if they no longer have the rotatable ring then I might not upgrade.
You can set a long press or double press to your preferred action (just like Apple’s copy the action button).

I've seen a few people say its quite heavy and also worried it'll look a bit goofy on my small wrist but I do love the extra screen space. It's under general, quick responses in the wearable app. Or search for it in the wearable app, can't miss it. Don't know exactly what it is in English, may be called quick reactions or something similar, have my watch in Dutch... Good luck

I have the Watch5 and it's pretty solid, not as smooth as the apple watch, and the touch bezel takes a bit of getting used to, but I like the UI layout and hardware design more. Tiles are also useful for quickly seeing information or performing actions.

If you like a physical dial, surely the classic with the rotating bezel would be a better choice?
I have the galaxy 4 classic with the bezel linked to the flip 4. Ready to upgrade my watch and liked your info about the galaxy 6 watch. Probably gonna buy on eBay and then link to my Verizon to avoid the payments and save money overall.
if you missed the digital crown, then the Watch 6 Classic would be the obvious option. and from a lot of other reviewers do note that physically, the rotating bezel is easier to use than the digital crown.

I wouldn’t go far as saying I’d ditch an ultra for it. The health, fitness metrics are less accurate than an Apple Watch. However. It’s cheap and but the watch is made of quality materials. While Samsung products are more customizable compared to Apple, I find myself having to look things up a lot more. I don’t want to have to customize everything. At the end of the day, if you look at it as a nice looking smartwatch that does good smartwatch things and a gives you a general idea of how you’re doing health wise, this is a great buy.
What apps ara available to download from the app store on the watch
Tho they have that edge scroll where you mimic the physical edge movement the classic one has to scroll? Also I never need to "start" tracking walks or runs. It records your whole activity after a certain length like it would notify you that you walked 10 minutes...

You can set the button to start the workout or whatever you want by going into advanced settings.
I have the galaxy active 2 watch and still love it but Samsungs trade in deals and discounts are so good!!! I just ordered the galaxy 6. paid $142!!! Cant wait to see the huge differences between the 2 and 6.

I did just that. Came out to $140 including tax and getting a sports band. Its great. Smartwatches are disposable after 4 or 5 years so makes sense to only spend as little as possible on it and thats why i stick to samsung watches

I haven't used a pixel watch but having used other Fitbit devices it's not worth it. It will most likely break for no reason with no resolution in site except sending back on warranty

How's the battery life?
I too got the watch 6 at a very good price by trading in another galaxy watch. Getting $180 off the watch 6. The watch is comfortable. I love the watch's screen display being bright and crisp to see everything. The exercise part you can add if you had a different watch face where you can change the complications on the watch to your exercise workout.
I have been using my samsung gear 2 since it came out, in 2016 (I think). I'm currently using a flip 4, and yes it works and paired easy to it.
I just upgraded to the S24 Ultra and the Watch 6, waiting for them to come in next week. I can't wait for this watch upgrade, it's been long over due.😂

I have the Galaxy Watch 4 classic and I have to say next to my 300-pound sterling Fossil Smart Watch the Galaxy wins in speed and battery life iam lucky to get even daylight hours with the Fossil Watches but the Galaxy can last 2 to 3 days if you are just using it casually otherwise a good 24 hours which isn't to bad as it charges up quick so iam now getting the galaxy 6 44mm as I have big hands and wrists i also have a Chinese watch which has most of the options of a galaxy cost me 50. pounds and the battery will last a week, amazingly, you get about 50 watch faces and 2 watch straps the advert has a car driving over the watch and parking on top of it and I must say it is very tough and worth every penny the Chinese now can make some real quality stuff and they are a lot cheaper than most branded goods
The upgrade from Galaxy 4 is also sweet deal
What happened to the studio?
i think for daily watch, i’ll keep using my traditional automatic or quartz watches. But for fitness purpose, i think it will be a great help since it has record abilities. Coz it is battery anyway, battery efficiency will decline eventually. Overall, it will be my sports go to device. Great content dad..

You can swap the battery, it's actually not super hard since the watch is held on by screws instead of glue

Yes, it is a default for the Watch 6 series.
The classic has a face turn dial at least it used too I'm still using the watch 2 thinking about upgrading to the new 6 but only if I can have that turn dial
Download a fitness watch face and customize the complication. I have a 1 touch exercise button.
You can turn on auto detect workout.
I would love to get 1 of these since im Samsung all the way but then again how come they cannot come close to Huawei or Amazfit in terms of battery life i really dont get it. I can easily get 13-14 days with GT4. They are practically the same specs.
I'd say it's because Samsung is stubborn. They could easilly have made something like the ticwatch with their dual screen to increase battery life, but they didn't. But far as them being stubborn, look how long it took them to get rid of the gaps in the Flip and Fold phones. Every brand had foldables that had no gaps, but they kept chugging along with their ugly gap design. I dunno.. Personally, if huawei was available in the US or Amazfit used WearOS, I'd jump on those, but they use their own proprietary OS which isn't for me.

My only gripe with current smart watches is battery life.
The new OnePlus Watch 2 kinda solves this, in a manner of speaking.
I just hope the Watch 7 with the W940 is actually going to do much better when it comes to battery.

I went from a iPhone 14 pro Max to z fold 5 with the galaxy watch 6 & love it with my plan I have upgrade & protect which allows me to pay $99 to basically be able to swap between any phone of my choice at any time I went with the z fold 5 because it has a deal that a watch 6 comes with it for $0 or I could've paid an extra $50 for the watch 6 classic & I barely use my watch apart from 2 or so text messages & one call maybe & it barely lasts me a day so unless people have it set to watch only mode most of the day I call bs same with my z fold 5 I've got to keep a eye on the battery a little more then I'd like during the day even sometimes have to do a quick top up
I think you have the health sensors on automatic. Change it to manual from automatic. Also goto sound and vibrations and turn of all the system vibration. I use watch all day come home with 50%. Hopefully this helps

I’ve had an Apple Watch Ultra since release last year of its first gen…. Looking to perhaps get a galaxy z flip and watch 6 but I fear the ultra is reallllyyyy good and the watch 6 may be a downgrade. Only the battery. I want it tho! For the summer months a funky OS!

Hey, thanks for the review and I think your problem is that you have an Apple mindset. You're not used to having all these choices and so you just have a different way of thinking. So when you get a Samsung phone or Samsung watch even a lot more freedom and a lot more choices. So I think you just need to tweak your thinking a little bit that you're actually free to choose. You don't have to do it just the apple way. Hey I'm not putting that down. I have a iPhone 13 mini that I use along with my Android phone
I don't need to talk on my watch that's weird and over kill. I'm definitely a samsung person. And only because of a sense. individuality of layout and good discounts as you said.
I absolutely agree on the circular watch, it looks soooo much better than an Apple Watch! Unfortunately the health data isn't accurate.

It will never be.
Sadly No smart watch, even the apple watch, will never be 100% accurate. In order for them to be 100%, they would need to implement actual medical grade sensors in them and those would hike the prices way higher than they already are. Honestly the closest we can get on that front is from Fitbit and maybe the Pixel watch since they own fitbit and and included it in the pixel watch.

I really like the idea of smart watches in general...BUT...i dont see myself using it...the fact of adding another item to charge in my daily life besides my phone my power bank /power brick my ear buds...i have to charge the watch too (if i have one)...i dont know if its good for motorcycle rider as we go through rain and dust all the time...i tend to be rough/clumsy sometimes so im afraid of scratching on the screen...i saw a one of friend using it as he scroll his texts on his watch...and i was like how lazy are you to just look at you phone from you pocket😂....i do tho its kinda cool when i saw people pay for items using the watch by just tap scanning the watch...idk i do think its cool and all..but i dont think i would buy one...i just look at a watch for time and date thats all...change my mind..

I just sold a Watch4 to go back to watchless (re: phone addiction). Never got excited about lackluster user experience and very poor battery life. I will wait a few years until they improve the battery life and practicality.
