@Positive Energy DC Designs confirmed that it will cost nothing on their Facebook post. They made an F18C for PC for free a couple of months ago and I believe they wouldn't let them put it on the Marketplace for free. If they can't get it on the Marketplace, they will probably release the A10 for PC only like they did the F18C.
DC Designs doesn’t make “full fidelity” planes. Not bad and getting better but far from full fidelity. We do have some coming from others in the future though.
This is the A10 we all needed! Look great and looks like it is a beauty to fly. I'm tempted to hold off to see if it comes to JustFlight with weaponry just for the aesthetics of it but I also don't want to as I want to fly it now! 😂 Thanks for the in-depth review Brett!
There might be another developer who will release on Justflight but no idea how far away that will be. I will stream this one on Monday, welcome to watch and see if you like what you see.

While I tried to wait on the DC for an A-10, I was so pleased with Deimos Su-27 I bought on the holiday sale that when I saw the A-10 and Gripen each for $10 a couple of days ago I opted to get both. You showed me some features I had not yet uncovered before. I'd still like to know how to change the altimeter as the know seems inop, can the pilot be made invisible when shut down, and if it has a helmet mounted sight?
You are welcome and a sale makes it easy choice always. The pilot can be removed form being seen from the outside I think either when the aircraft is cold and dark or I think there was a show pilot switch. No helmet HUD that I know of
Its only a matter of time before MS releases a ''MSFS Combat', for all these eunuch military aircraft . For MSFS and casual flying it does look pretty decent.
oh i wish but doubt it, or at least they could move combat to a completely different server. But considering they have a current ban on weapons in the sim to not lose their G rating I dunno. Would have to make a completely separate sim. OMG I might spend more $ on that too.
It does but I did not show that off as the video was already getting a little long. I used it on a follow up live stream flight in the A-10C but if a new video of how to use the AP is needed I could probably take a look at that.

@BrettPlays thank you it's not a perfect plane but it's a mil plane in a civilian plane sim and still fun to fly with out having to take 30mins to set up a plane to fly
@@EDCtexan yeah it is. And that's the kicker, you need to remember you are not in a Mil sim. It's a plane to fly and look the part but not fight, that's for DCS and War Thunder and the likes.
I understand you can change the pilot name on the plane. There is a switch to turn it on on the left side in front of the throttle but I don't know how to edit the name?
You need to add your name in the Callsign area in the menu area before loading into the flight. 1.Press World map 2. press on you aircraft icon top left. 3. Press Customization 4. Type your desired call sign in the Call Sign area under Tail Number. It will show up then for you next to your canopy
Is that an alpha version in the video? So many things are implemented incorrectly, from completely wrong switch positions to the start procedure, that you'd think there's still a little to do before it can be released. The displays, instruments and the HUD are on, even though both of the switches responsible for them (inverter and IFFCC) are off, the speed brakes can be moved even though emergency retract is on and so on We're not even talking about what's shown on the displays and in the HUD.
Yes it is a pre release version in the video, some updates have been made since release. I do not think any of the ones you listed though, I would have to check. The displays and HUD are not realistic and the dev says that in his description I believe. I do think that the HUD was chosen from the F18 in the sim because every time Asobo updates the sim some devs creations get broken so he chose the one that gets updated with it. I will send your advice about the switches to him and see if he can correct them. I do know he works on previous aircraft with updates and improvements. This though is not going to be at the standard (nor price) of something you are likely going to get in DCS. Not all functions can work (weapons especially) due to the limitations of MSFS. But I will still forward information to the dev when people point them out and see if we can get improvements.
It opens but none work with a tanker in MSFS, DCS is still your best bet for that to work. You can simulate fueling only but no fuel flow happens here. I wish though
It would be sticking with the F18 Asobo HUD I would guess. Custom HUD I've heard can have problems when Asobo updates the sim, or was an issue in the past.
@@BrettPlays It’s the green tinted hud screen and weird shape of the hud. You can see tons of photos on the internet. Small detail that can be fixed. Cheers!
It's a shame that so many 3rd party aircraft use the F/A-18E hud. Before I gave up on the legacy stuff, I modified a hud to be like the F-15 one for the freebie FSX Milviz F-15E. It was great, but I guess the modern requires much more complicated code to work.
I think devs use it because when they do custom ones and Asobo/Microsoft change things they have to fix or update aircraft more often. If they use what the Simulator developers use then it gets updated when the sim updates.

Oh I do like the F-14, I would be more likely to fly the F14 in a flight as I prefer the speed. It is a completely different flight in the A-10, much slower. So answer is no, but that would depend on your preference of aircraft. I do have the F14a/b, F15, f16, F18c, F117 and Jas39 so love my fast flyers.

try behind the stick and change from GPS(ANOHR button) to ILS button, it pops up as NAV MODE. You can hide the yoke by pressing it at the base. Not sure this will do the trick but if anyone else has an answer please add it here too
This doesn't look like a Deimos product, I mean textures look quite nice and they were horrible in the Mig29 or the Su57 (cockpit). I might give this a try.
For shooting at stuff yes, flight model maybe too but for flying over anywhere in the world not so much. They both have their places. I also own an A-10 in DCS, it is awesome too

When all fossil fuels will be forbitten near future, will you offer a B-747 only with propellers just for political correctness? Adhere to reality or stop offer such unreal stuff... Praise god there are developers who can design real aircraft.
I was scoffing at your comment, until I paused the video on a side external shot and compared with a Google result. The proportions are quite different aren't they. I've not played DCS since I got MSFS, so it's a long time ago, but this vid made me miss that big old slow bird and those 2 hour long missions.
I believe the developer bought this model from the 3d model market so the original would bring in the design fault. I do know of other developers who have also bought the same model. Wonder if someone else starts from scratch on it then?
The "Search Light" is like this because the MarketPlace prohibits any weapon representation, even visually. So if they had positioned the cannon as in reality, they could not have sold through the official channel. For the rest, I fully agree with you ... the visual result is bad, even as regards the whole aircraft in general.
@@fulviopavesi5680 Correct, no aircraft sold on the marketplace or xbox in MSFS is allowed weapons. That is why the mscenery one had its gun completely removed and looks the worse for it. This is a good compromise.

Robert B I have seen your comment on multiple videos for this developer, I understand you don't like him. The matter of him using code he was not allowed to was resolved with the removal of that file and from what I understand no longer able to use that website. I would then tread carefully if I were you going onto social media platforms (ie. RUclips, Discord, Forums) and continuing to try and defame someone for their previous actions. What he did was wrong and the matter was dealt with. Continuing to defame someone and trying to cause them financial harm could land you in a defamation case. Writing on multiple reviews and videos featuring the developers items would only gather more proof of purposeful defamation. Don't get me wrong, I like both developers products and use and review them both equally and regularly.

How are you getting the over the shoulder view. I have velocity 1 flight stick and can’t seem to do it. Xbox series x
its under the camera views, you can also set a button in controls to swap. I use a HAT button on my HOTAS that was default set by MSFS.

He did say he has been improving and this is probably his best go so far. Also the su57 and mig29 will get a cockpit going over so that's good.
