- We will install a tailgate badge on my 2018 Toyota Tacoma Off Road truck. The emblems we will install are a raised pvc. This is a super easy Tacoma upgrade that looks awesome and only takes a few minutes.

The ones I bought were CNC machined and brushed aluminum. They didn't include the handy template though.

I have had my new TRD OFF ROAD TACOMA for idk 3 months now but haven't gotten to any of those things yet.
Mine is the Magnetic Grey and I haven't made up my mind if or what color I want.
There's a lot of accessories available that's for sure

I love them. I think they add so much. Tacos go for so long! That is awesome. 260k! I will probably have this for many years to come for sure. Unless I can't stand it and hit big on RUclips, then I am going with a Cyber Truck! ha ha!
Limited number of vids on this product, I have a 2020 Ranger (black) and I ordered the red lettering from Amazon. Dude, you made the install look easy, I was worried that you had to position each letter individually. Thanks!

I love these things. I have a black Tacoma and bought some inserts from Amazon a couple of years ago. The chrome ones. They were easy to instal and looked INCREDIBLE. However, after the first winter, they pitted and became discolored. I did read some reviews about how some people had that issue. It's not really noticeable unless you're fairly close to it. I'm assuming the only ones that this would happen to are the chrome ones.
Ya, that chrome on plastic doesn’t last. The black ones do bomber. I am going to post a follow up vid showing how they have lasted. Keep an eye out.
@@hkstrongside I know man. I wish I could find the ones I saw Jesse instal, but Amazon doesn't have them anymore. It looked like the real cheap ones that just peeled off and weren't "raised". If I could feel confident about removing these and putting the black ones on, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Thanks for the reply!

Great question. These are satin. But you can get gloss as well if that is what you prefer.

@@hkstrongside I did the three inch lift, the 33 inch KO2's, and black Gear rims. Completely blacked out and rarely do I go a couple of days without comments from people. These trucks are unreal anyhow, but when you add things? Forget it. I know I'm biased, but I think they're the sharpest trucks on the road, and one of the most dependable.

Hey, sorry I have been slow to respond. Was out of the country for a little bit. They make them in chrome, grey, red to name a few. Do you have chrome emblems? You could stick with that. If your truck is black, you could get the flat black. It would create a slight contrast from your gloss black paint. Could look cool. Or even a gray could look cool too.

Hi does it have to be hot to install
I doubt the temperature will be as important as making sure the surface is clean. However, I imagine extremes in temperature either way could affect it. Good luck with your install!

Can you remove these?
While I personally haven't removed mine, I imagine it would be similar to other badge removals. Take some dental floss and pull it through the adhesive to lift the letter. Then use decal adhesive remover to get the sticky crap off.

I don't understand the obsession with why people have to put vinyl lettering on their F150's, Mustangs, Tacoma's etc. It looks way better left alone. From 10 feet away it used to look like thousands of dollars were spent on custom tooling dies to stamp 3D lettering in the sheet metal to give it some dimension to now looking like it has a $5 dollar sticker on a flat panel. Nice job!
I think one reason it is popular to do is it’s a very inexpensive way to personalize your truck. The raised letters inside the inset stamp also looks awesome imo, especially if you are going for a blackout look.
