They can't even tolerate Linkin Park or Muse, as their start hearing a guitar they almost start crying and getting mad at me... Fortunately I have friends who help me with that.
Yeah, modern pop music is so bloody brain-dead, its lyrics are all about arbitrary recycled shit about love or partying with horribly repetitive 'melodies' and layers of auto tune with emphasis on how hot the 'singers' are rather than their ability to sing and write music. It's just easy to listen to trash really. Metal is hard to listen to comparatively cos of how full on it is and how the meaning behind its lyrics is often pretty cryptic, but hey, that's what makes a good art form IMO. Fuck the pop industry haha

Linkin Park may be radio-ized stuff, but they're unique in what they do, and their first three albums and demos and early stuff prior to Minutes to Midnight (Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, Meteora), was good, and their only good newer album is the recent one. I've been listening to LP since i was 4 but I stopped listening to them when I was 10, when I delved into real metal because I really liked the guitars. LP's a good intro band to metal, because they're good,unique. But they aren't amazing.
