Train Passes On Hill & This Happens! Luck, Steel Coils, Trains With DPUs & 1+% Slope

- Big Norfolk Southern Train Going Down A Steep Grade With A DPU & All Of A Sudden I Get Lucky! These trains are in northern Kentucky on the line that Cincinnati is selling to Norfolk Southern Railroad. The steel coils train in this video might be the longest one that I have seen and listen to the locomotive on the rear working hard!
This video has 3 trains. The first train came shortly after we arrived. Then there was a long wait for the next two trains and we left shortly after that.

When I went to the doctor a few days ago I was in the waiting room for about 5 minutes and they called for Brian so I went up there and it was the wrong Brian. They only had two other ppl there. Nice video of two trains coming down The Hill in Crescent Springs, Kentucky followed by a hard-working Norfolk Southern train #375 coming up The Hill after the second downhill train passed Beechwood Road, Jaw Tooth! The rear end DPU on train #375 was working hard to push the train up The Hill. Thank you, Mrs., Jaw Tooth for taking Jaw Tooth to Crescent Springs, Kentucky on 16 January 2024 to capture these trains and for the pet action that was part of this video.

That was a good NS mixed freight going down the hill. Fairly long with a nice variety of goods. The new and nearly new covered hoppers looked great! It also had lots of corrosive cars. Great catch JT! 😊😊😊❤❤❤

I went to pet smart and got a small bird, cage and feed and stuff.... but Toka my cat figured out how to open the cage when i wasn't looking and that was the end of the bird. i came back from the store and there was feathers everywhere.

Norfolk Southern SD70ICC 1251 is the rear DPU on one of those trains.
The DPU on the steel train was sounding wonderful! Raw horsepower. 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Another awesome video, JT and man I can see it in your face that you are in a lot of pain. I don’t know what kind of surgery you had but you be careful out there on that ballast because you know as good as I do that stuff will make you bust your butt, so I will be praying for you my friend for a fast recovery but just be careful and take one day at a time and we’ll see you on your next video brother

Sorry to hear you are poorly and I wish you a speedy recovery. You have been missed. I live in Norfolk England or Gods own Royal County. We only have 3 lots of freight, sand from King's Lynn for glass making, stone and gravel delivered to Brandon and Gas from the north Sea from North Walsham. They do not run daily. I love seeing all the various loads and especially the mixed freight. I think I last saw a mixed freight in England in the 1970's!!! Take care and do not overdo it.

yeah it's dangerously cold JT... i'm coming off a case of acute food poisoning and just got back from my VA doctor... thank god for him... your videos are still the most interesting because if all the extra information you provide from your vast knowledge of where these trains are going and coming from.

Take care JT and I hope you heal quickly. On Saturday the 20th of January, I dropped my wife off at church, I don’t attend so I thought I’d have a look at our local station.
I wasn’t expecting much but in 15 minutes saw 5 trains.
I did a video which I put up on my Utube thing. Boy it was cold!

Jaw tooth, gotta play catch-up on your videos, been busy. The DPU at the end of the train, going down the hill, was the same locomotive that was the lead one pulling a train out of Richmond, IN on December 22, 2023. I recorded that one leaving Richmond, Locomotive #1251 with the K5LLA horn, SD70ICC.

Actually you are right. I got tired of the crooked ones on the bottom and having tooth aches. It made me sicker than I expected though. My mouth is very uncomfortable also and I feel lousy. I am regretting doing it.

@@ronniebrown9379 Yes, its a looong adventure. I got the All On 4 done. Removed 20 teeth and put a plate in the top and a plate in the bottom. Both plates are screwed into the jaw with 4 screws each. I know once I get adjusted to it they will look nice and there won't be anymore toothaches but right now I am cussing myself for doing it. Actually I'm starting to talk better. The first few weeks its difficult to talk
The next time you see Old Shoestring, shake his hand for me. I wish I knew where or when to find him, I doubt he comes thru Anderson indiana.
