**If the check engine light is flashing, you should stop driving immediately! In most vehicles, a flashing check engine light signals that you have a major problem that could cause serious damage to your engine if you ignore it.**
Just a quick video showing a 2015 Honda Odyssey with a P0301 Code and a short term fix or solution (change the spark plug) if you don't want to take apart the engine and change the piston rings.
The Honda Service Bulletin numbers are 13-080 and 13-081 that seem to reference this exact issue of oil fouled spark plugs. There may be another one or one that is newer, but this is all that I could find online:
    static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/201...

The Innova 5610 Car Scan Tool is a very helpful tool in diagnosing issues like this. Hopefully this video is helpful if you are experiencing a similar issue. Replacing the spark plug is all that I did to eliminate the misfire and check engine light issue. It probably won't last longer than a few months, but it at least makes the car driveable in the meantime.
    Thanks for watching!

Similar issue on my 2012 Odyssey. Blinking check engine light at 69k miles. Issue covered under a class action lawsuit/settlement. Dealer replaced 3 pistons and rings. Same issue reappeared at 124k miles. Dealer replaced small block. Both instances were covered by Honda for free although the second one required special approval from corporate. Sold vehicle at 232k miles and no issues when I sold it.

Install a vcm muzzler and problem solved.
Cylinder deactivation is a common problem for all vehicle makes.

Yeah that's not a long term fix, That oddessy will be back soon. My honda pilot 2011 had a similar problem. For my Pilot I disabled the economy mode and changed all spark plugs. Running well after I worked on it.

Agreed. It will probably need the new rings as the TSB suggests…but running fine for now.

My wife's 2013 Odyssey is having the same exact issue and has for a couple of year now. I replaced all 6 plugs just over a year ago and didn't have any issues until just last week. Just had the valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets replaced literally today but now the engine light is flashing AGAIN. Talk about frustrating. It's only got 135k on it but this makes me want to junk it.

      Hi Thomas,
Yep, it's pretty frustrating for sure. If you read one of the comments below, you will see that some people have had a little luck with Honda stepping in and taking care of the problem, but with that many miles, you're probably going to push pretty hard to get 'approval from corporate' for this issue. It might be worth pursuing, but it's also pretty inexpensive to put a new spark plug or plugs depending on which one or how many are oil fouled. That might help keep it running for a while until you decide what to do.
Best of luck to you with it.
      Take care,
      -Dan

    Tube seals bad?

No, if it were the tube seals, that wouldn’t cause any oil to get into the combustion chamber or cylinder.
